A single mom struggling to raise her rebellious son finds unexpected support in a kind-hearted cowboy in this spicy romance from the author of Alive and Wells. ____________________________
She's afraid she's not enough. He'll make damn sure she knows she is.
Single mom Whitney Hart is, quite simply, overwhelmed. She's struggling to raise her ten-year-old son, Jonas. Her ex-boyfriend only seems to come around and help take care of his son when he's single and hoping to get back together. With Jonas acting out more than ever, Whitney enlists the help of her sister Blair to keep an eye on Jonas over summer vacation.
Enter Colt, a fun-loving Wells Ranch cowboy who is tasked with giving Jonas work to do around Wells Ranch to keep him busy. In Colt, Jonas finds a mentor and male role model for the first time in his life. And in Jonas, Colt discovers a friendship that brings a new kind of joy into his life.
Colt and Whit slowly develop a friendship of their own through a shared concern for Jonas, and over the course of the summer, it begins to spark into something more. The attraction and chemistry between them are hard to ignore, but Whit's insecurities and hesitancy to trust men causes her to pull away.
As miscommunications give way to understanding, the two will discover that sometimes you have to first be broken before you can become whole, and that there's no one way to create a family... ____________________________
Single parent Animal lovers Alpha male Found family Cowboy romance Opposites attract Small town romance Sworn off relationships Emotional scars Friends-to-lovers
She loves to write strong heroines and rugged men who aren’t afraid to love their woman hard.
Born and raised in small town British Columbia, she loves to add rural Canadian flair (dirt roads, rodeos, ketchup chips, and a two-four) to her stories.
She lives with her husband, daughter, two dogs, and chickens. A chronic middle-of-the-night writer, during the day Bailey can be found camping, baking sourdough, or being her daughter’s chauffeur to horseback riding lessons.
JONAS IS LITERALLY MY 11 YEAR OLD CHILD. I was in my freaking feels during this. I love Whit 🥹
I love Bailey Hannah's writing. She does a really good job at descriptions and painting the picture. I can envision everything so clearly!
Colt is a dang REAL ONE. Phew, he just knew all the right things to say. A single parent always gets me and this one was just so emotional because of everything Whit went through. Her laundry room cry sessions 😭😭
I loved the connection between Colt and Jonas. I felt like it was such a unique connection!
I loved all the hilarious shirts Colt wore and also.. every time Colt said mama 🤭
"You don't make her cry like he does" OMG I WAS DONE
mind you i’m already having a bad day and the book starts with a bratty kid calling his mom “bitch”, doormat heroine taking her dead beat baby daddy into bed when he comes unannounced at 1am (10 years on and off situationship is insane if you ask me) so yeah i don’t have time or patience for this lol
From the very first chapter, At Whit’s End completely pulled me in and refused to let go. Bailey Hannah has this beautiful way of writing that makes every emotion feel raw and real. You’re not just reading about these characters, you’re feeling their heartbreak, their hope, and all the messy love in between. (the frustration and hurt i was feelings a few pages in was… insane. 😔😭😭)
Whit Hart is doing everything she can to hold her world together as a single mom, but the harder she tries, the more things seem to fall apart… especially with her son, Jonas. My heart physically ached for her, watching her try so desperately to connect and to be enough. It was truly so heartbreaking. 😭😭😭 The way single parenting was portrayed is so messy but so realistic and I think that’s what drew me in so fast.
And then comes Colt. Oh. my. heart. He is exactly the kind of man you want to see walk into a story like this—steady, patient, and so deeply kind. I adored how his role wasn’t rushed or forced. Before anything romantic ever sparks, he focuses on Jonas, becoming a true mentor and friend. It’s rare in romance to see that kind of intentional respect, how Colt chooses to show up for both of them without expecting anything in return.
And I’m sorry but when this man refers to Whit as “Mama”? 😩😩 I swear I melted. It’s such a small thing, but it’s loaded with tenderness, love, and a sense of belonging that Whit has been missing for so long. You can feel the moment her walls start to crack—and the slow, quiet way she begins to believe she deserves more. 🥹🥹🥹
This book isn’t just about a romance. It’s about healing and rebuilding. It’s about what happens when two broken people—and one lost little boy 🥺—find their way back to themselves through love. And yes, there’s spice (and it’s deliciously well done), but the emotional intimacy is what really makes this story shine.
By the end, I was completely in love with this family. Watching Whit, Colt, and Jonas grow stronger together was so satisfying and heartwarming. This is one of those books that reminds you that family doesn’t always look traditional, and that sometimes, the right person doesn’t just love you… they help you put your heart back together. ❤️🩹❤️🩹🤍
If you love heartfelt, emotional small-town romances with strong family themes, a genuinely good cowboy hero, and just the right amount of heat, you need this one on your list. 🫶🏼🫶🏼

A huge thank you to Netgalley, Ballantine, and Bailey Hannah for allowing me to read this arc. These are all my honest opinions in this review.
Bailey freaking does it again (like I ever doubted she’d deliver another five-star read)
This series holds such a special place in my heart. Every time I get to go back to Wells Ranch, I get giddy, emotional, overwhelmed, and so damn excited. It’s the best feeling to be back here.
What I love is that every couple, every story, feels completely unique yet Bailey’s magic never changes. Her writing is so effortless and flawless, and somehow her characters always feel fresh. And I love how everybody intertwines and I get to check back in with my favorites throughout each book. I love watching them interact, it really is like one big found family.
Let me tell you guyssss Colt is a lover boyyyy. This man is a simp in every form of the word not even the type of MMC I usually fall for and yet, oh my God, I could not stop myself from handing my heart straight to him. He’s goofy, fun, easy-going, and has the biggest damn heart. He was exactly the man Whit needed. The acts of service were on fucking point.
And Whit with the black nails, the taste in music, the vibe she a full on baddie. I connected with her on such a deeper level, especially that feeling of being too much and not enough all at once. I wanted to reach right through the pages and give her the biggest hug.
Then you throw in her ten-year-old son, and suddenly the story hits even harder. The way Colt stepped in, took him under his wing, and became a role model? My heart couldn’t handle it. This book honestly felt like watching the sunrise 🌅 🥹
The emotions were raw, the tears were flowing (as always) and the spice had me fanning myself off ( okayyyy Whit calling the shots, tying up her man and calling him a good boy 🧎🏼♀️🤭) there is always a perfect balance.
And as always, Bailey wrapped it all up in a story that was just perfection.
You can’t see me, but trust me I am giving Bailey a full-on standing ovation. She has knocked every single book in this series out of the park, and I cannot wait to see how she closes out one of my all-time favorites. I’ll never stop recommending this series because it’s the total freaking package.
Bailey Hannah can ride a damn cowboy romance like no other. At Whit’s End hooked me from the first chapter and never let go. There’s just something about the way she writes a single mom finding her footing again and a cowboy who is so steady, so patient, and so ready to show up for both her and her son that hits in all the right places.
The found family aspect in this book is everything. Watching these characters slowly build trust, connection, and a real sense of home made my heart melt from beginning to end.
The chemistry is perfect. The tenderness is even better. And the spice will have you absolutely fanning yourself. Bailey balances small town charm, heartfelt moments, and heat so well you’ll be swooning one second and clutching your heart the next.
If you love single parent romances, cowboys who are down bad and devoted, found family goodness, and stories that feel like comfort with a kick, this book absolutely deserves a spot on your TBR. Bailey Hannah did not miss with this one. 🤠💛
Colt is the world’s greenest flag of a man and might just be my new favorite book boyfriend!
This one is a lighter read and it felt like a sweet reward for putting in the emotional labor required of books 1-3. I LOVED Whit, and she deserved to have a happily ever after with minimal trauma. There are still some heavier topics and as usual, they’re handled with care, but this time around I only teared up a bit, instead of uncontrollably sobbing.
I devoured this book in (nearly) a single sitting!
What’s to love… - Can I just say everything and call it done? - single mom + the sweetest green flag MMC (who’s kind of the nanny?) - emotional but not as much as her last books - “hey mama” 🫠 - “good boy” 🥵 - FMC that thinks she’s too much and not enough and an MMC who thinks she’s perfect - mustached MMC who wears silly cut off shirts, is a little goofy, and has a heart of gold - MMC with dyslexia
What might not work for some… - honestly I think this is Bailey Hannah’s best work yet and I’m not sure I have anything negative to note!
🌶️- about 8 scenes and I know that sounds like a lot but it really didn’t feel like that much! Door is WIDE open.
Knowing the 4th book was going to be about Whit, I was super excited. Especially when I loved her sister's. And let me just say, I obnoxiously loved this book. The pace felt realistic, nothing felt too rushed.
Whit and Jonas’s relationship dynamic was so raw and real. I think Bailey Hannah did a fantastic job showcasing a single mom navigating a preteen, along with an unmotivated biological father. But also showing the internal struggles of just being a mom.
I definitely liked the awareness of relationships involving a partner having a child. Colt overall was a well-rounded individual. He knows how to soften Whit and Jonas sharp edges.
The rating for this book was a no-brainer, 5 ⭐.
• Single mom x Cowboy • Slow burn • Praise ( Good boy ) • Small Town ~ Please check trigger warnings ⚠️~
I want to thank Netgalley, Ballantine | Dell, and Bailey Hannah for the eARC. In exchange for my honesty. All options expressed in this review are my own.
safety’s pretty good prob the only safe one in the series mmcs been celibate for a while, hasn’t slept with many women and no mentions of any serious relationships
Big thanks to Random House Publishing and NetGalley for a copy of At Whit's End for review purposes.
This wasn't my favorite of the series but, it was still good! Colt is every single green, goofy flag you could possibly want in your life even though he's a little corny. It's really charming in his case. Colt and Betty have so much in common! He totally has cattle dog energy. 😂 Whit has been used and abused by her shit head baby daddy for far too long. She has a hard time accepting that she deserves Colt. No matter how she feels, that man LOVES her indefinitely. 😍 I was absoutley living for the moment Whit told Alex to shove it! I was also here for the light femdom and ultimate male yearning. In true Bailey Hannna fashion there were tears rolling down my face at least three times while reading. Can't wait to have the last Wells Ranch book in my hands!
3⭐️ This is one of those times where I seriously think I read a different book than everyone else because I did not think this was good, but all of the reviews are glowing. ALAS! What started off with so much promise- a single mother meets a bachelor cowboy- just landed flat.
Whit is the 30 year-old single mother to Jonas, a ten year-old boy. Her baby-daddy is basically a dead beat who only stops by when he's looking for a booty call, which for some real Whit allowed? Jonas has been acting out at school and Whit needs to keep him busy during the summer so he stays out of trouble, so he gets to spend his days at Wells Ranch. Enter Colt! Colt starts to bond with Jonas and catches feelings for Whit along the way.
These two had absolutely no chemistry. Seriously I was shocked they even claimed they had feelings for each other. Whit was a stressed out and busy single mother and Colt was a man-child who shared every aspect of his life with his mommy. The only things these two ever did was hang out with Jonas or hook up. And honestly I skimmed through their steamy scenes, they were just didn't work for me.
I also thought the relationship Colt had with Jonas would be different. I guess I thought he would be more of a parental figure to him? Like teach him things that his absent father hadn't- how to be a man and shit. And sure, they went fishing. But it was never deeper than Colt just being a buddy to joke around with.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publishing team for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This is such a good series! Bailey Hannah has something special with these characters. This whole series has been win after win.
Whit is struggling as a full-time working single mom to 10-year-old Jonas while dealing with a deadbeat baby daddy, a sick parent, and her son’s behavioral issues. Colt, a ranch hand at Wells Ranch, takes Jonas under his wing, understanding school issues and what it means to grow up with an absentee parent. Whit and Colt’s slow burn but fun romance does not disappoint.
There are so many topics in this book that are done right. I really appreciated Whit’s never-ending mission to be the best mom, always taking care to do what was best for her son even when it wasn’t best for her. Colt never overstepped her boundaries or tried to be anything other than supportive.
Thank you to NetGalley and Dell for the advanced copy!
Another masterpiece from Bailey. She always writes such a good cowboy romance, and Colt and Whit’s story was no exception.
Colt was such a sweet MMC, and I loved how strong and resilient Whit was. Bailey captured the struggles of her single mom life beautifully with all the raw emotion.
As always, the banter was top tier and had me cracking up. The side characters are lovable and characters from previous books popped in for a few chapters which is always fun. Super curious to see whose story is next in this series!
Thank you to Bailey Hannah, NetGalley, and Ballantine for this E-ARC. All opinions are my own.

At Whit’s End is book 4 in the Wells Ranch series. It follows Whit, a tired single mom raising her 10 year old son Jonas. Jonas isn’t making it easy for her—he’s acting out in school and is on the verge of expulsion. Whit isn’t looking for anything… and then enter Colt with his “I Support Single Moms” shirt 🤭
Colt. Campbell. The man that you are!!! 👏🏻 He swoops in and unknowingly heals Whit’s tired, broken heart. He takes Jonas under his wing and teaches him how to appreciate life. He had me hootin and hollering at all of his punny tshirts. And this man is so down bad he literally said, “Whit can put me on a leash and ask me to beg. Bark f*cking bark.” And he calls her Mama! What more could you want?!
🎧 The dual narration by Stella Hunter and Teddy Hamilton was top tier. I always do a little happy dance when I see these two listed as narrators because I know it’s going to be a great time!
𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲: 🤠 Cowboy Romance 💚 Single Mom 🤠 He Falls First & Hard 💚 Friends to Lovers
I feel like Bailey Hannah’s writing just gets better and better. And I loved the first book.
Colt, tho, is my favorite MMC of hers, maybe my favorite cowboy ever. And I love a grumpy man, so to say this complete absolute most golden retriever man beats those out is saying something. “Bark f*cking bark”
Whit, was a solid FMC, single mom with her own personal struggles I don’t want to spoil.
Jonas, I love when the kid actually plays a solid part of the book. I loved his and Colts relationship. Whit struggles with Jonas throughout this, and it really delves into her struggles as a single mom with an almost teen son.
WHIT & COLT.... STOP IT. I ADORED THIS BOOK SO MUCH. OK so no one will beat Cass + Red for me from this series.. but I dare say, these two honey's definitely gave them a run for their money!!!
COLT.. OH MY GODDDDDD. No words for this beautiful, sweet angel baby. Walking green flag, honestly. He just was always one step ahead, always knew the right things to say and was just so hands down GENUINE. Like there was no pussy footing around; he was a man who knew what he wanted and boy, did he go after it. His connection with Jonas was so wholesome, too. I really loved this aspect of the story and the positive effects their relationship had was really nice. Colt really stepped up to be the man and father figure that Jonas was desperately craving.
I thought that Bailey wrote Whit's character so well. She had the Mum bits absolutely spot on and really highlighted the struggles of working, single Mum life to a pre-teen! I adored her character growth, and watching her allow Colt into her life to be with her and Jonas.. ugh. It was so good.
Colt and Whit had UNDENIABLE chemistry and I loved their strangers to friends to lovers story. They built that friendship FIRST, Jonas was always at the forefront of Whit's mind. I'm so happy she let him in cos damn, they were so hot and so amazing for each other. They complimented each other perfectly. I loved their text threads, Colt's shirts, the found family. Immaculate vibes, honestly.
I'm so thankful to have read this arc! Thank you to Bailey, Orion and Netgalley!
Bailey Hannah does it again with another angsty, heartfelt, and deliciously messy friends-to-lovers romance in this continuation of the Well’s Ranch series!
This book was such a ride, in the best way possible. Not only do we get the slow-burn, true friends-to-lovers journey between Whit and Colt, but we also see Colt step into a beautiful, genuine role with her son, Jonas. Their moments together were heartwarming, full of tough love, patience, and guidance that hit me right in the feels.
Whit and Colt were a total dream team. Their chemistry, banter, and deep emotional connection had me giddy like crazy. They’re real, relatable, and impossible not to root for.
If you haven’t started this series yet, this is your sign. Well’s Ranch is an absolute must-read!
It's no secret that I am a huge fan of the Wells Ranch series, and this book only furthered my love for it!!! At Whit's End follows Whit & Colt. Whit is a single mom, struggling to raise her rebellious son, Jonas, all while balancing her work & the downsides of a small town. Colt is a ranch hand with a heart of gold, who finds himself as Whit's helping hand when it comes to her son. As slightly inappropriate graphic tees turn into pizza & gaming nights, we get to witness a budding friendship turn into a beautiful love story!
To say I loved Whit & Colt's characters would be an understatement. I absolutely adored them from the depths of my soul and wish I had about 900 more pages of them!!
Whit is a wonderfully written female lead with so much depth & beauty. She's dedicated, witty, protective, kind, and vulnerable. Her struggles with her son, Jonas, and trying to navigate their rocky relationship while also trying to be the best mother she can, was so well done. I absolutely adored her, I loved getting to see her be happy & free from all the weight of her past. She's so, so lovely!!! Colt is the most charming, big-hearted, kind man alive. His sweet, comforting, and witty personality is everything. I loved getting to know him, see him grow in his own way, and seeing him find a love he didn't expect!!!
Whit & Colt's relationship is a beautiful friends to lovers story, handled with so much care. It is so sweet, tender, and UGH! I LOVE THEM. The way that Colt offers Whit a soft place to land is so special. I loved getting to see them work through the budding attraction, tension, and chemistry all while making sure to put Jonas first. I loved how much they understood each other & how seamlessly they all fit together. They are so special to me!!! The spice is also SO good and so hot I was blushing!!! I love these two DEARLY!!!
This book completely pulled me in from the very first page. I was instantly rooting for Whit and wanted nothing but the world for her. Watching her navigate life as a single mom felt so raw and real. She truly does everything she can, yet the more she tries, the heavier things become, especially when it comes to her son, Jonas. The portrayal of single parenting was incredibly realistic and emotional.
Then Colt enters the picture… and wow. He is sweet, hard-working, kind, and utterly swoon-worthy. The way he interacts with Jonas absolutely melted my heart. He shows up for Jonas without hesitation, and later for Whit too, no expectations, no pressure, just steady support 🥹. I adored him. And let’s talk about the way he says, “Hey Mama.” SWOON. You can actually feel Whit’s walls starting to crack and her slowly believing that she deserves more than just survival.
This story is so much more than a romance. It’s about healing, rebuilding, and learning to trust again. It’s about realizing you’re not alone and that having people in your corner can make all the difference.
By the end, I was completely in love with this little family of Whit, Jonas, and Colt 💗.
4 ⭐️ Thank you Random House Publishing and NetGalley for this eARC!
Welllllll I am a sucker for nanny x single dad BUT manny x single mom?? Sign me up !!!!!!! This was so so good and so cute! I loved the writing of this book and I have really enjoyed this series!
We follow Whit, a single mom with a little boy named Jonas who is a bit of troublemaker and acts out. Whit has so much going on in her life, with her mom being sick, a not-so-great baby daddy, and a stressful job. I loved Whit in Change of Hart and was so excited to get to read her story. She’s independent and an amazing person!
Colt, the lovable goofball, who’s a ranch hand at Wells Ranch, is asked by Denny to help out and give Jonas chores around the ranch for the summer. Colt and Jonas slowly become attached to one another and have such a sweet bond! Colt was adorable and really chased after Whit like she deserved and didn’t let her push him away.
The one downside to me was the lack of the discussions about certain topics the books hit on. I would’ve loved to see more of the tough topics talked about more throughout the book or even more towards the beginning instead of lightly touching on it. Overall, it was a super quick and cute romance read! I can’t wait to see Jackson and Kate’s book!
Ahhhhh this was sooooo good! As a single mom…Colt is literally perfection and my dream man. He was funny and caring and everything Whit and Jonas needed in their lives.
This one will definitely pull at your heart strings. It also won’t let you down if you’re looking for a healthy dose of spicy. It was a slow burn but once they got started…sheesh 😅. Whit is a bit of a dom in the bedroom too and I loved it. Colt would do anything….ANYTHING…for his woman lol.
Without giving too much away, I want to commend Bailey for giving Colt the space and time in the story to work out his emotions and thoughts, over what Whit told him. It was something that would impact his future and instead of just going along with it, Bailey made sure to have him regulate his own emotions first and I really appreciate that POV.
I was lucky enough to get to listen to an ALC from PRH, with narration by Teddy Hamilton and Stella Hunter. They did an amazing job are bringing these characters off the pages.
I’m just finished this and I’m already missing Wells Ranch…BRING ME BACK! 😭
bailey has done it once again!!! this entire series has been five stars for me, now including this one!!! i also loved seeing the character crossovers from the previous books. every couple in this series is so different and unique and i love each and every one of them. this one follows whit and colt (who i love). he is the definition of a MAN. he is a LOVER. a PROTECTOR. the way he cares for whit and her son jonas truly is everything. the SPICE between the two!!!! i love whit too and wanted to hug her when she felt she wasn’t good enough. this one does have some heavier themes, but they were handled well. this was really good and i recommend this entire series!
single mom whitney struggling to raise her rebellious son jonas finds unexpected support from colt, a kind-hearted cowboy. her ex boyfriend only comes around to help when he’s single and hoping to get back together. with jonas acting out more than ever, she enlists the help of her sister blair to keep an eye on him this summer. enter colt, who is tasked with giving jonas work on the ranch to keep him busy. little did the two realize they would need each other. jonas finds a mentor and a male role model for the first time and colt discovers a friendship that brings joy to his life. whitney and colt develop a friendship as well for the same shared concern over jonas which sparks into something more.
tropes: golden retriever hero, friends to lovers, single mom x cowboy nanny, dog dad, dyslexia rep, dual pov content warning: parent with alzheimer’s, fmc who cannot get pregnant
At Whits End wasn’t just your everyday romance book, it completely captivated me. Whit and Colt had such magnetic chemistry and the dynamic with her son was so heartwarming. Every kid needs a “person” like Colt in their life that they can depend on. This book handled such heavy topics with grace while also delivering on a bunch of laughs at all the right times. I was sad to see this book come to an end, as I felt like I went on a journey with this family.
HOOTIN' AND HOLLERIN' OVER THIS STORY BECAUSE I LOVED IT!!!🦝
Absolutely phenomenal - Colt, Whit, and Jonas were EVERYTHING!👏🏼
This might just be my favorite in the Wells Ranch series yet, and that's a difficult decision to make consider I adore them all. 📚💛
It's hard to put into words how much I loved this story, especially when Bailey's writing is so incredible. The emotion, heart, and feeling she puts into her stories, writing, and characters is evident every time you pick up one of her books. I feel like I'm at Wells Ranch every time I dive into a book in this series, and I love every second of it.
Whit Hart is one bad*ss single mom managing a ten year old with attitude and an ex who can never seem to be reliable or show up for his son. So when Whit's son, Jonas, starts helping out at Wells Ranch and spending more time with Colt, the mustachioed cowboy with a golden retriever personality, she starts to notice a change in Jonas for the good. And not only does Colt make Jonas happy, the more time he spends with Whit, the more she realizes she could easily fall for a hard working, dependable man like Colt.
COLT 👏🏼MF 👏🏼CAMPBELL - the man that your are!!!! That man is absolute perfection. I will take no criticism. From hardworking cowboy, to dependable man for Jonas to rely on, to the absolute perfect match for Whit, Colt makes for one amazing MMC.
Not only did I adore Colt, I loved Whit. I loved watching her learn to trust Colt and be vulnerable with him. The way Bailey had Whit and Colt's relationship blossom and bloom was so well done - the timing, the chemistry, their banter, and the way they fell for one another had me in tears at the end. 😭
Last and certainly not least, it was so good to be back with many of our favorite Wells Ranch characters. I love this little found family, and I'll forever cherish these stories Bailey has given us.
Highly highly recommend At Whit's End for lovers of: 💛single mom x "manny" 🤠cowboy romance 💛friends to lovers 🤠small town 💛golden retriever MMC 🤠found family 💛he falls first
Mr Green-flag golden retriever Colt Campbell meets Miss I'm too much..but also not enough Whit Hart, and they fall in love. Read it to find out how... I enjoyed it. An easy wholesome read/listen with a sprinkle of spice. Teddy Hamilton and Stella Hunter did a great job with the audio.
SO thrilled to have received an arc from netgalley! I had been counting down the days until At Whit’s End was released and I absolutely devoured this once my request was approved.
This book follows Whit and her son Jonas as they both learn to open up and love Colt. I was interested to learn more about Whit and Jonas since they appeared in Change of Hart, and we’ve had glimpses of Colt in all other Wells Ranch books, but I had no idea he would be my favorite cowboy of them all?!! Something about a golden retriever cowboy who knows exactly what (and who) he wants is irresistible. He was so steady and sure, it gave both Whit and Jonas time to trust him and let him in.
Whit and Jonas’s dynamic felt so real and relatable. It was lovely to see how they worked through things and became stronger than ever. But one of the best parts of this book was the relationship between Colt and Jonas. They were exactly what each other needed and I loved their dialogue and inside jokes.
Colt was soo goofy and swoony, a perfect combo! He was a constant for Whit while giving her space to figure out her own stuff. I looove reading a man with a crush and Colt crushed HARD. And his obsession with thrifted shirts and sugary frappes was adorable.
“I can’t stop thinking about the way it felt to have Whit in my arms—like I was put on this Earth for no other reason but to be her safe space for the few minutes she let me bear her pain.”
The infertility storyline was handled with such care and added depth to the story. I loved the idea of redefining what a family is and means to each character.
I loved seeing cameos from other couples in Wells Ranch books, but I wanted more Austin and Cecily and Red and Cassidy! I know Blair is Whit’s sister so we’ll be seeing a lot of her, but Change of Hart was my least favorite in this series and I was wanting more of the other couples.
This book had great romance, spice, and depth, not cheesy at all! I was kicking my feet and laughing out loud multiple times. 5 stars, easily!
