Kaden Mills returns home from vacation to find a very specific request on his desk. An old acquaintance, Marcus Burke, is in trouble. He’s receiving death threats against his daughter, but he has a long list of enemies and nowhere else to turn; he needs Kaden’s help.

A quick read that had me hooked. Although at times Ash did annoy me. Didn't see parts of the story coming either

Not everything is as it seems...
And some people should never be underestimated...
Ashleigh falls hard and fast, but does Kaden feel the same? Can he be trusted or will he see straight through her and undo every plan she has?
Like a mirage the picture shown is only a partial picture. Initially this seems like a straightforward and easy case for Kaden, thankfully he doesn't take everything at face value, he watches, he assesses and he reads far more into everything and everyone and you have to respect him for it. He doesn't just accept what he is told, he makes his own judgement and acts accordingly.
A steamy read on Kindle Unlimited.

needs an editor &/or proofreader
The story is fine but the time line is screwed up and the pov switches by the paragraph in more than one place. I wanted to start red penning it about 1/4 of the way in.

A lovely quick novella. Engaging and relatable characters with an interesting storyline. Would highly recommend.
