If you are a normal, well-adjusted person who does NOT enjoy reading about a psycho who dresses as a clown and brutally slaughters people, DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK!
Now, for all the weirdos who are still here? Well, meet Mr. Tingles.

And now he is Rosa Rubinoff's biggest problem.
As a tough, vodka-loving police detective in Savannah, Georgia, Rosa has encountered plenty of strangeness, and she's seen enough darkness for a lifetime. But neither she nor anyone else is prepared for the show this clown is putting on. So buckle up, boys and girls, and Always fear, Mr. Tingles is here!
This was a good read. I thoroughly enjoyed the suspense and thrill throughout the story.. Tingles was a crazy man nonetheless he was smart and very precise on how he chose his victims he lowkey gave detective Rosa (and Jen) a run for their money but they didn’t let up and I’m glad they didn’t!! This read is something I’d actually watch as a movie and or TV series, loved it!
I read this book in about 2 and a half hours. It was super creepy, and the storyline wasn’t one of those over used ones. I enjoyed it so much, I only wish it was a little longer.

Mr Tingles, the creepy clown is looking for you!! 🤡🎈🤡 *Check it out now!!*
Tingles is the kind of horror thriller that pulls you in quickly and keeps you turning the pages. Set in Savannah, Georgia, the story follows Detective Rosa Rubinoff, a tough and determined investigator trying to make sense of a series of disturbing events connected to a mysterious figure known as Mr. Tingles. From the start, the book creates a tense and slightly unsettling atmosphere, giving readers the sense that something dangerous is unfolding just beneath the surface.
What makes the story enjoyable is how easy it is to get into. The pacing is quick and the writing is straightforward, so the plot keeps moving without feeling rushed. Rosa is a strong and relatable character who feels human in the way she approaches the challenges around her. Her determination to uncover the truth keeps the story grounded, while the people around her help build a believable world of police work and investigation.
The real strength of Tingles lies in the eerie tone that runs through the story. The author takes something that is usually meant to be playful and turns it into something unsettling, which adds to the tension throughout the book. The scenes are described clearly enough that you can easily picture what is happening, making the story feel vivid and immersive. Overall, Tingles is an entertaining and suspenseful read that works well for anyone who enjoys a quick horror thriller with a strong sense of mystery.
TINGLES is a high-intensity Slasher/Horror novel. The story moves away from traditional suspense and dives straight into "splatter" territory. It centers on Rosa Rubinoff, a tough, vodka-drinking police detective in Savannah, Georgia, who is hunting a serial killer known as Mr. Tingles. The atmosphere is intentionally "grindhouse"—it’s gritty, dark, and uncomfortable. The author uses the contrast between a "fun" figure like a clown and the brutal reality of his crimes to create a constant sense of unease. Rosa Rubinoff: She is the classic "hard-boiled" detective. She’s seen too much and uses alcohol to cope, but her grit is what keeps the reader grounded. She represents the thin line between order and the absolute chaos Mr. Tingles brings. Mr. Tingles: He isn't a complex villain with a tragic backstory; he is a "psycho" in the purest slasher sense. He lives for the fear of his victims, and the book treats him like an unstoppable force of nature rather than a man you can reason with. At roughly 190 pages, the book is lean. Moon doesn't waste time on flowery descriptions. It moves like a runaway train. Once the "show" starts, the violence is frequent and graphic.
The most impressive part is how Moon handles the "clown" trope. It’s hard to make clowns scary again because it's been done so much, but by making Mr. Tingles so unapologetically brutal and focused on the "performance" of his crimes, she manages to make him genuinely threatening. It’s a "popcorn" horror book—fast, bloody, and designed to shock you.
As Halloween is approaching, I found myself feeling drawn to this. Tingles is a clown horror story. When It comes to horror, I'm usually more of a traditional gothic ghost story reader, but it's good to mix things up a little bit.
I often think of clowns as silly rather than scary, but I did find this a good spooky read. I found the author to be a good storyteller, who did a good job at bringing every scene and setting to life. The characters were fun to follow, and I did find Mr Tingles unsettling, in an intriguing kind of way.
If you're looking for a quick spooky read, I'd say this is light enough to finish in one sitting as well.
I recieved a free copy of this book in return for an honest review and wow, I absolutely loved it! It had me gripped from the get go and the ending just didn’t disappoint! The story line was well thought about and the characters only added to the incredible book! It really felt you were there living the suspense, chaos and the terror of it all with the detectives and the town of savannah. I think my favourite character has to be Hailey as she reminded me a lot of myself with her Determination and personality but I also really loved the detective trio to! Would definitely reccomend for a good thriller/ horror read!
Tingles by Elane K. Moon is honestly such a crazy, thrilling ride. I was straight up hooked from the start .........Mercury dealing with that insane clown, Mr. Tingles, had me screaming in my head. The book’s super easy to read, fast-paced, and bingeable. The vibes switch between pure terror, dark suspense, and some real-life detective grind with Rosa, which totally balances it. I was lowkey obsessed, like I couldn’t put it down, kept imagining every creepy detail, every twist, and every wild moment. Totally recommend if you’re into horror-thrillers with chaotic energy.
First of all it builds up the different characters and fleshes them out, something you rarely see nowadays. None are perfect and each have their flaws/demons.
Then we have a real creepy psycho and no idea who he is. Even the detectives hit walls and oversee some clues (at least the one I caught relative early).
The book also gives a good insight how policework works, something TV and Series tend to only glance over.
this was good to read, nice and straight to the point but i wish got more about the killer. I would have liked to know why the killers chose new home buyers . What made him get to this point and how he found this idea.
I really liked Rosa and Jen dynamic and would have loved if we got more details about Jen as well.
Would recommend it to everyone
