Rate this book
A disgraced Priestess at the sacred Temple of Apollo is cursed with immortality, to suffer centuries of history and heartbreak at Delphi. In 1982, nearby the archaeological site at The Hotel Amalia, she meets a writer and his wife struggling both with his newest project and their failing marriage. Through offering him visions and oracles inspired by her vast storehouse of experience, she tries to convince him that life is short and that love is all, knowing full well the foolish nature of human beings to persist in their folly.

Jason Byron is a New England poet and writer of dark fantasy, horror, humor, and his experiences working with the occult. He grew up in Connecticut, and currently resides with his wife, Krista, and their cat, Vinegar Tom, in Salem, Massachusetts. His lyrical contributions can be seen across the maudlin of the Well and Kayo Dot canon, and he has authored two full-length novels, both based on song lyrics and lyrical concepts. He is currently working on a third novel in the genre of Lovecraftian horror.

When he is not writing, Byron enjoys spending time with Krista, listening to music, reading, walking, and practicing the arts of ritual Magick and Raja Yoga.
