When his best friend locates his soul bond, who needs him, nothing will keep him away.

I absolutely love T.D. Edwards' books! This is the start of her new series, Embrace The Magic. Mara and Romes' story is absolutely beautiful, and the growth of Mara's magic is spectacular! Rome is a 150 year old warlock, and his magic was starting to become unstable until his best friend/brother, Archer, found his soul bond. As soon as they were close enough, both Mara and Rome just knew that they were meant to be with one another and stabilize each others magic. Mara's magic is painful to her. If someone touches her, she sees EVERYTHING they have ever done or experienced. Romes is the opposite in a way. His feeds off feelings and can quite literally suck them right out of you. I'm so glad Mara got a story! Now I can't wait to read Archer's!

Completely incredible! I couldn’t put it down! Mara and Rome are an amazing couple. Mara has doubted her self and feared her magic her entire life. Until Rome. He has awoken something inside of her and their life is just beginning. She now has purpose, and that purpose is to make the sick and depraved pay. With Rome by her side, there is nothing and no one that can stop her.
Be prepared to have serious FOMO when you’re not reading this book. Amazing characters, and a unique magical world. I cannot wait for the rest of this series!

3 - 3.25 stars!
This was fine. If you’ve read her other books, it follows a similar feel but the magic is different. There was something missing for me here…maybe the connection between the MCs?
I’ll continue reading this new series but this one didn’t blow me away.

I loved this different take on magic!
I really enjoyed the world building in this book and how it connects to the Embrace the Bound series with the shifters. Mara is actually in a couple of the books in that series. Very small parts, but I really enjoyed the crossover!!
Before Mara meets her soul bound she’s kind of in a prison to her magic. Anytime she touches someone she can see inside their minds and everything about them, their thoughts, their past, whether they are a good or bad person. However, with that comes all the emotions and pain they suffer nearly incapacitating her.
Enter the yummy MMC Rome. He and his bestie Archer have been around awhile, so they have control of their magic. Lately his magic has been off and his tattoos are glowing because it’s telling him his bond needs him.
It was really funny how their magic reacted to each other and the chaos it inflicts around them. That was a really nice touch! Because I was in tears giggling when the sister was crying about all the stuff broken around their shop and home. 🤣 This is a slow burn that has you sweating along the way! 🥵
Loved the banter it had me giggling 🤭 Rome’s mother and aunt were a hoot!! They were constantly up in the main characters business, but in a loving and funny manner! I absolutely loved them! 🥰
Can I say how freaking excited I am that the next book is Archer!!

Great Start to a new series
We meet Mara in the other series about shifters and you really dont get much info about her except she is a witch and helping the bad guy. I knew she really wasn’t bad bc the way she was skittish and towards the end of the other series she helped the other couples find their mates. I loved this book so much words can’t describe the way Rome loves Mara is so sweet 🥹 he is all in! I can’t wait for Laces book she seems very interesting and maybe a back story of Romes family and how they met. Oh and Archer and Gavin is so funny! I recently found this author and binged all her books lol I love her writing style the spice be spicing and the men are all in for their mates I love that so much.

I can not recommend this enough
This was so absolutely amazing. Poor Mara has been through way more than anyone should in her short life. She did everything she could and sacrificed everything she had for her family. She closed herself off, became a husk of who she once was, just to keep her only family safe. She never let herself dream of having someone to love, to touch, to build a future and a family with. Rome is absolutely perfect for her. He put all of his faith in her and showed her how amazing she really is. He didn’t push her or try to control her, he just lightly guided her into seeing who she really is. He took her fears and allowed her to finally feel. They are the perfect match and I’m now going to anxiously, and Impatiently, wait for Archer’s book.

A Great Start to a New Series
I loved Mara and Rome. I always felt so bad for Mara, so I was so happy to see her get her HEA.
Mara’s story is so sad, so when she meets Rome the first time, it was fantastic to see the immediate connection and effect he had on her.
I also adored the side characters in this book, especially Rome’s family. I am excited to see Archer and also Lace get their own stories.
I do hope somewhere in this series we get to see a crossover, and that they will finally see Mara for who she truly is and forgive her.

amazing fated mates story
TD Edwards has been a must read since I first discovered her shifter series and I love every single one. This can be read as a standalone but we first meet Mara in the other series and there are some crossover events and names mentioned. I’m so glad to see Mara work through her trauma and find her bonded mate. I loved how her magic perfectly matched Rome’s. They really felt like two puzzle pieces coming together. I can’t wait to read more in this series.

Finding out Mara and Lace are sisters, that I wasn’t expecting. Their relationship was so wonderful to see how they both got to grow and get back what they’ve been missing due to Mara’s powers.
I loved every minute of reading this! Romes family is a hoot. His powers balancing and changing both Mara and his own was cool.
I cannot wait for more from this series !

Excellent beginning
This is an excellent beginning to a new series. I liked the way that we already knew of the main character from the other series. The soul bond was beautiful. And I can't wait to read more with the cast of characters from this book.

This book is just as entertaining as all the rest! I love having all the POV. It was great to find out all about Mara. Rome was so understanding and loving. Can't wait for the next book!!

I have been waiting for this one! I loved the intensity and the insta lust between Mara and Rome. The story was amazing as always. I loved getting the backstory to Mara and finally understanding her and her powers. I cant wait to read about Archer.
