Getting snowed in with a Santa suit-wearing lumberjack was not on her Christmas wish list—but maybe it should have been.
Liza Instead of focusing on my career and falling in love, I’m raising my three younger siblings—or ruining their lives (depending on who you ask). With Christmas around the corner, this mountain vacation is my Hail Mary. Spoiler: It flops. We get snowed in, and Christmas seems doomed—until a handsome lumberjack shows up to help. If only I had time for love.
Nate For my thirtieth birthday I’m served a giant slice of humble pie. Word spreads quickly when you lose your girlfriend and your business in the same week. The silver lining: at least I’m not living in my parents’ basement. That would be embarrassing. No, I’m just laying low in their mountain cabin while I reimagine my future. When the neighbor shows up looking for help—nearly discovering my secret— that future begins to look like a brunette with a gorgeous smile, and I have to say, I don’t mind the view. The question is: Will she mind the Santa suit?
Liza’s world turns upside down after an unexpected tragedy leaves her caring for her three younger siblings. Life becomes a constant juggle of responsibility and survival, so when a free vacation falls into their laps, it feels like the first real break in ages. Unfortunately, it’s not long before everything immediately goes off the rails.
Enter Nate, whose own life is quietly unraveling. Fresh off a breakup, a career that’s left him working seasonal gigs, and a temporary retreat to his parents’ cabin. He isn’t looking for anything more complicated than a reset, until Liza (quite literally) crashes into his life. Their companionship forms quickly, shaped in part by forced proximity and shared loneliness.
The novel’s strengths lie in its warmth and relatability. Sharp, overextended, and deeply loyal, Liza’s character is immediately compelling. Her dynamic with her siblings feels both hilarious and painfully true for anyone who’s ever played the role of default caretaker. The grief woven through the story is handled with a gentle touch, and the setting, especially the lively depiction of Pigeon Forge, gives the book a cozy, inviting atmosphere.
Still, the romance leans a bit more “insta” than I usually prefer, and while Liza gets a thoughtful, well-rounded arc, Nate’s growth feels a little underdeveloped by comparison. Even so, Love in a Flurry is an easy, genuinely enjoyable read. It captures the chaos of family, the heaviness of grief, and the surprising comfort of finding someone who meets you exactly where you are. It’s the perfect one-sitting holiday romance if you’re looking for something cozy and uplifting.
Thank you to the author and BookSirens for the ARC, opinions are my own.
This was a super fun and entertaining story that left me wanting more chapters to read. It tells the story of two people struggling that find each other at the most unexpected time and condition, but learn to rely on each other for support, protection, help, healing, and love.
Liza is learning that dealing with three young kids is not easy, but it is her new reality, she was entrusted her younger siblings. She is learning to be supportive, to make money last, to grieve and help them grieve. So when they win a dream vacation in the mountains, she thinks luck has finally arrived, just to get there and find the cabin unhabitable. She runs next door to ask for help, and that is how she meets Nate, he is also running away from the reality of his life (no business, no girlfriend) so he is at his parents cabin to recharge and rethink strategies. Nothing prepared him for a beautiful girl and three little ones to derail his plans in the best way.
Though the book focuses in Nate and LIza's story, it is the substories about grief, the new family dynamics, the pain, the funny moments of parenting when you are not truly on your feet yet, his sudden loss of a dream are also what makes this book work so nicely. THey weave between each other bringing the forming relationships between Liza her siblings and Nate to a deeper and more meaningful space.
You will love this book, and you will not even realized it is over by the end!!.

Enjoyable Mountain Man Christmas Romance, but with Some Frustrations
This Mountain Man Christmas romance has a cozy setting and a generally enjoyable storyline, but there were a few elements that pulled me out of the story.
The female main character is clearly the emotional heart of the book. She’s well developed, layered, and burdened with the responsibility of caring for her siblings, including a sixteen-year-old sister. While I appreciated the portrayal of stress and emotional overload, the younger sister simply doesn’t behave like a teenager. Her actions and reactions feel much more like those of a preteen, which made those scenes hard to believe.
There’s also the typical age-gap trope, which felt unnecessary here and didn’t really add anything to the story. That said, the female lead’s questionable decisions felt realistic when viewed through the lens of someone under constant pressure and responsibility.
Unfortunately, the male main character remained a bit underdeveloped. By the end of the book, I still didn’t have a clear sense of who he was beyond being attractive, which made it harder to fully invest in the romance.
The plot, pacing, and wintery small-town setting are nicely done and give the story a warm, seasonal feel. Overall, it’s still an enjoyable Christmas read, just one that could have benefited from stronger character development and a more realistic portrayal of the teenage sibling.

A lumberjack who lives in a secluded cabin in the Smoky mountains meets a nurse, Liza, who is trying to raise her three siblings after the loss of their parents. What Liza needs most is just a relaxing vacation in a snowy mountain cabin, but instead, she meets a...lumberjack Santa? 🫣👀 Yes, you heard that right. And let's not overlook the part about this being a 'snowed in' trope. Add it to your tbr ASAP, you will not regret it!
Once again, Amora Blake has been so sweet as to send me a free copy of her most recent release of Love in a Flurry. And, let me tell you, I *will* be getting my hands on a physical copy as a bookshelf trophy because, duh, it was that good. I was fortunate enough to receive a quick sneak peek of the first few chapters prior to release, and that was all it took for this book to consume me.
All of the characters will forever be living rent-free in my mind. Liza and her siblings are some of the most relatable, funny, sassy, and well-written characters I have come across. And Nate, well, he was not at all what I expected him to be like. But loved him as well. This book had me laughing out loud and smiling at every chapter. Also, the way this was insta-love but insta-love done in the best way possible. It wasn't rushed, it wasn't cringey.
If you like: ❄️ Snowed In ❄️ Hidden Identity ❄️ Fake Relationship (kind of) ❄️ Forced proximity ❄️ Saving Christmas ❄️ Cozy, snowy cabin Christmas vibes ❄️ A lumberjack Santa
Then you will love this book.
PS. Thank you so much for the acknowledgement shout out Amora! ♡
age rating: 17+ spice: closed door, though explicit remarks language: 2/5
the overall vibes were fun and cozy, but there were too many aspects that had me feeling weird. several instances involving crude jokes and dialogue—mostly with the MMC’s brother—were way too much for me and ultimately prevented me from fully enjoying the book.
i felt that the author struggled to write an accurate sixteen-year-old sister. despite not playing a major role in the story aside from her mini redemption arc, it’s important to actually KNOW how teenagers act. trying to pass her off as twelve? maybe. as sixteen, however? absolutely not.
the romance itself was disappointing because it felt insta-lovey from the moment the characters laid eyes on each other. other than being repeatedly told that the MMC is “hot,” i didn’t get much depth from him. liza as a character felt distant and downright immature at times—yes girl, SPILL all your hurts and worries to a dude you haven’t even known a week!!
i received a free e-arc and left this review voluntarily 🤍
Love in a Flurry is book one of Love in the Smokies by Amora Blake. The story immediately pulled me in and I knew within just a few pages this wouldn’t be a simple fluffy Holiday Romance.
Our male main character, Nate, escaped to his family’s cabin in the Smoky mountains to lick his wounds after his business and personal life implodes. While he is there to regroup and figure out what comes next, an intriguing woman stops by the cabin for help. She has him forgetting his worries that brought him to the cabin. That intriguing stranger is Liza, a 24-year-old Nurse on vacation who ends up stranded on the mountain from a snowstorm. Despite the extra baggage she carries, Liza feels like the breath of fresh air Nate didn’t realize he was missing.
If you love forced proximity, small town romance, he falls first, and found family you need to read this one. The banter and stolen moments are red hot, while the bedroom scenes are fade to black.
Thank you Amora Blake and BookSirens for the Advance copy of Love in a Flurry.
Buckle up ladies! This is definitely a Christmas tale you don’t want to miss! Snowed in with your own lumberjack how could a girl get so lucky? Nate is still reeling from losing his company and girlfriend. Liza is trying to step in and raise her three younger siblings and keep a roof over their heads. When one of her sisters entered her in a contest for a week vacation at a snowy resort rental and wins Liza packs everyone up for a winter break. A hoax of a resort, fallen tree and very helpful neighbor may mean spending their vacation with a total stranger but at least he’s easy on the eyes. And he gets along with her siblings. What could go wrong? Nate finds that helping a neighbor, even one with baggage may be just what he didn’t know he needed this holiday. Now if he can only convince her to stay. I enjoyed this book. It was witty and funny. Well done! Highly recommend. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Liza is struggling to raise her three younger siblings, Zachary, Harper, and Emi. When one of them, Emi, enters an online contest using Liza's name and data, she wins a mountain vacation. The cabin is not in good shape to begin with and a fallen tree is definitely ruining this "vacation". And she can't get anyone to call her back to find out what they intend to do about this disaster. It looks like their free vacation has fallen flat when the snow traps them and it feels like Christmas will be ruined. So she is very surprised by the willingness of a lumberjack neighbor to help them. Nate has also been in a slump after a recent break-up and career problem, so he is staying in his parents' cabin dealing with his own disappointments. Being able to offer help to Liza and her siblings gives him new hope that things may just work out perfectly... if he can convince her to stay. Will they all have a Merry Christmas waiting for them this year?
Sweet and Heart Warming… “Love in a Flurry”, by Amora Blake. Sometimes when life is at its lowest the most precious memories are born. That’s what happened with Liza and Nate. Her life had taken a turn for the worse when she lost her parents. But she did what she had to do to survive. With little money, to many responsibilities and constant exhaustion , she felt like this was a view the rest of her life. He had lost everything: home, his business, his girlfriend. He felt like a complete failure compared to his family. Then Liza came crashing into his life with way to much baggage and saw him for who he was, not what he had. The instant attraction was undeniable, but neither could ever do a “fling”. This is a slow-burn novel filled with undeniable love, sacrifice, grief and acceptance. Well worth the read. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Love in a Flurry is a witty, heartwarming holiday romance that delivers both laughs and tender moments. When overburdened Liza takes her siblings on a much‑needed getaway, a rundown cabin and a snowstorm force them into the company of Nate, a brooding neighbor nursing his own heartbreak. What begins as chaos quickly turns into unexpected companionship, with Rufus‑like warmth (only here it’s Nate!) bridging grief, family struggles, and new love. The story balances humor, sibling dynamics, and the cozy charm of a snowy mountain setting, making it a perfect one‑sitting read for anyone craving festive romance and emotional depth.

This book is such a good read. If you think you can’t fall in love in two weeks, I’m proof as that is what happened with my husband and I. A sweet love story yet super sad back story and a horrible mom who has no clue intervening in her 30 year old’s son’s life. I literally wanted to riot. Extremely relatable characters. It does have a few curse worse and some spicy scenes like mild spice nothing detailed. Thank you for that. I could see this book on amazon or prime video! I actually want to see this book on tv that is how good it is. Thank you Booksirens for allowing me to be a reviewer for this ARC.
It’s the perfect pre-Christmas getaway! A cabin in the mountains where Liza and her siblings can relax, play in the snow, and recharge.
Well…it should have been perfect! The cabin is dirty, old and outdated and nothing is going right! So they decide to cut their loses and go back home, except, the weather has other ideas.
Now snowed in with the road totally blocked they have no choice but to shack up with the Santa suite wearing neighbor until the snow thaws.
What nobody expected from the sexy Santa was actually exactly what was needed!!

Liza and Nate were the cutest in this sweet holiday romance. Poor Liza can’t seem to catch a break while she’s raising her three youngest siblings. And she thought a mountain retreat would be the way to go. It could’ve had they not gotten snowed in.
Nate just happens to be at the cabin next door trying to find a little getaway for himself after a job loss and a breakup. The Terry come together after she knocks on his door.
I had a great time with this book. It was so sweet and heartwarming. I loved the way Liza and Nate came together. It made for a wonderful holiday.

Love in a Flurry is an adorable holiday adventure. Just the touch of Christmas I needed this year. Liza taking on raising her siblings after a tragic accident took their parents too soon. Liza doing her best to keep a roof over their heads, food in the table, keep a solid job, & still raise her siblings without losing her cool. Nate learning who he is in life, and what he wants. But a Santa? Hmm. Meeting these two main characters was very sweet insta-love. With a touch of self doubt. I see my own kids the teen sister Emi and her attitude. And the love Emi has for her siblings too.
3.5✨ this story was absolutely adorable. I can't believe how much their family went through and I know it might seem unrealistic for two people to fall in love so quickly, but frankly, I believe anything is possible—especially for people who have been through hell in their pasts. When you find something amazing you know what’s good for you and hold onto it. I feel like this was the Hallmark movie of romance books, and I really enjoyed it.
If you love hallmark Christmas movies and want a book that gives that vibe, this could be the perfect book for you. It’s a sweet and sometimes emotional story that ends with a happy ever after. The writing style is clear and easy to read. The dual POV is well done, and the characters are lovable. If you want a sweet, closed door holiday romance, I recommend this one.
Thanks to the author for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

I found this book to be the perfect touch of Christmas I needed right now. It was a very heartfelt and feel-good story around Christmas time and continuing on traditions even if the situation isn't how you expected it to be. The romance aspect of the book I thought was very well interwoven into the story but not the main focus. I would love to read more by this author and recommend to my fellow sweet romance lovers.
This was such a sweet and emotional Christmas romance. Love a little forced proximity and found family! 🤭 I really liked the family dynamic and how each character felt so vivid and real. Liza and her siblings each had unique experiences, and the exploration of loss and grief was done really well. While I would’ve loved a little more depth from Nate, the story overall was festive, cozy, and heartfelt. ❤️
I loved the story. I love the chemistry and I loved that single parent finds love I think all love deserves representation and frankly I think the author did a good job of giving the characters the love that they needed.

-A cozy, snow-dusted romance where Liza’s chaotic, big-hearted world collides with Nate’s quiet rebuilding. I received a free copy and am voluntarily sharing my honest thoughts.
Their chemistry shines as family grief and holiday magic weave through every moment. Warm, funny, and tender, the Smoky Mountains make a great backdrop to a sweet story.
This is sweet cozy holiday romcom with dual POV. This book felt like a short and easy read and I was engaged right away. There were some fun Christmas traditions that I had never heard of before. Not to mention the sexy lumberjack Santa! It’s a story about love, grief, parenting, family, and touch of holiday magic. If you’re looking for a Christmas romcom with all the hallmark feels, this is it!
Liza needs this vacation as she is raising her siblings. That is tough. I really felt for her. And then she runs into Nate and there are sparks, but she doesn't have time. I loved their story and how Nate managed to break through Liza's walls. A great story.
