I have mixed feelings about this book. This is the 2nd book I’ve read from this author and I’m still not accustomed to the writing style. At times it seems that time is lost or hurried and I have to stop and do a mental timeline to piece everything together. And I still don’t understand the need to write with some sort of clinical detachment. The MFC gave me a headache… she wanted independence from her father and prove her worth and value in her chosen profession and industry but continued to work for her father’s company. Why? She could have proven her skills somewhere else instead of letting her father manipulate her. I’ll read the next book in the series only because I hope it answers questions I have from this book.
