Bo Duckworth and his ragtag team of surplus Marines have served Phaethon Corp. well so far. Unfortunately, the frontier is even more unsettled than usual. The mining corporations are at each others throats, on the brink of war.
Ironically, this is good for business. The more shots fired and the more energy used, the more that Phaethon’s services will be needed.
Unfortunately, the middle of a shooting war is the least safe environment for Phaethon employees to work. But woe be to the forces taking on Tom Savage’s people. They are heavily protected from harm. The Duck and his team will see to that.
Jump into Phaethon Corp's efforts to expand in the wild frontiers of known space! This fast-paced action-packed series by veteran science fiction and fantasy author, two time Kindle Scout winner Jaxon Reed is a thrill ride you won't want to miss!
Miner War is an excellent addition to the Phaethon Corp. series by Jaxon Reed. The action in Miner War is relentless, flowing continuously from one page to the next, much like the Energizer Bunny.
A conflict rages between the Ogres and the Imps. Miner War captivated me and drew me deep into the Phaethon Corp. universe as the characters battled in a cave while Bo, Elle, and Tobias were on a quest to find their way back to the surface.
I absolutely adored the moments when the nanobots came into play and when everyone unleashed their unique powers. The vivid descriptions were so skillfully crafted that I could easily visualize everything as if I were experiencing it firsthand. The cave scene keeps replaying in my mind, and I hope my recollection does it justice.
I would be thrilled to see Miner War and all the books in the Phaethon Corp. series brought to life as a television series. I believe the Phaethon Corp. would be a fantastic addition to the Stargate SG-1 universe.
I wholeheartedly recommend Miner War to all fans of science fiction—be sure to pick up a copy today for another thrilling adventure in the Phaethon Corp. realm!
Miner War, Jaxon Reed's third book in his latest series, Phaethon Corp. It is another exciting adventure of Savage's Savages (my name for Tom Savage's small, but growing, para-military group). As with the dozens of other Jaxon Reed books I've had the pleasure of reading, this tome is well-written and well-edited, with a story that is filled with action. Miner War is a fast-paced and exciting read, with dialog that is believable, and primary characters that are well rounded and complex. It is another lighthearted, interesting, and action-packed story. That it is a quick read is an another reason to pick up the series. When you have finished Book 3, you'll be like me in clamoring for Book 4. If you are new to Jaxon Reed's work, there are scores of additional books set in this universe, and many more books and series that are stand alone or in other universes that are just as well-written and worthy of your time.
Exciting small fighting team action expanding Phaethon Corporation's presence. Great way to finish the year's reading.
The team deal with the bad guys in exciting action. I love the interesting twists their tactics take to win the day. Fun, fast, “explosive” small group tactical fighting. The team is gelling and gaining ground in the miners’ war.
After reading this great book, I am really looking forward to reading the next in the series. The new characters introduced should grow Phaethon’s presence in the frontier. I look forward the fun of Phaethon’s corporate expansion in the next book. I hope it is as good as this one.
Read this installment and go back and pick up the previous ones if you haven’t. Really, really worth your time. Don’t miss Star Farmer, either.
Fans of Jason Anspach or JN Chaney ought to enjoy this action-packed trek from battle to battle. It is hard to remember that this is set in space - until Tom Savage pops in via hologram. This, together with Bo's struggle to merge his duties as squad leader with his concerns as boyfriend, make this more than a mere fight tale. I have to wonder what more primitive cultures would think of the hologram popping in and out with goodies ....
I received an ARC from the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Bo and his team are on planet and dealing with chaos and lots of gun battles. And a brewing war. Lots of fun watching the crew do their thing. Plus the micabot was a blast. Had me laughing and enjoying everything.
Trying to find a missing toy for his boss Duck and the people will have to use all their experience to survive but will enough. A good read continuing in the series.
