Three friends. One forgotten seal. A secret that could destroy the world.
Luke, Sofi, and Ethan never expected their summer to lead them to Göbekli Tepe... the oldest ruins on Earth. But when they uncover a glowing tablet and stumble into a secret library guarded by a mysterious being, they’re pulled into a race against time. There they uncover a language older than civilization—one capable of sealing the Shadows, ancient forces that twist memory, light, and time itself… and have waited millennia to be free.
Decoding the truth will push them into danger, test their courage, and change their friendship forever.

I loved reading this book. I was actually looking for something for a younger member of my family, and this one caught my eye — but after reading a few pages myself, I couldn’t stop. Over the next couple of days, I ended up finishing it!
The author has put together a gripping mystery. It starts off steady, but the story soon picks up pace. I really loved Rusty — such a heartfelt moment that actually made me well up.
The cameo by Agatha Christie is brilliant. Younger readers probably won’t recognize her, but for us older readers who still love a good children’s book, it felt like a lovely little nod. The concept of Göbekli Tepe works really well as a setting, and the trip into the Library and Looms is inspired.
I also liked the short, modern writing style — those quick, text-like sentences will really appeal to younger readers. There are puzzles to solve alongside the characters, and even free downloads afterward to continue the mystery.
The Aethera Chronicles is the book that will get your youngsters away from their screens in into a world where their imaginations will be awakened. The story will introduce them to true friendships, as the bond between the main characters deepens as they navigate life’s ups and downs. The reader will enter a world of wonderous places and mystical characters where they will need to solve long buried puzzles and break secret codes in order to defeat the Shadows. A real page turner, whose easy to read style will keep your child enthralled to the last page. But the fun doesn’t stop there. The innovative code breaking kit that accompanies the book will give hours of entertainment as they write secret messages to their friends and decipher the clues in the book in order to become a Shadowbinder. A must read book for youngsters (and maybe the parents too!) in my opinion.
