When a book starts of with a dedication like this... You know what you're about to read isn't going to be plot heavy.


This is a fast paced novella, so immediately in chapter one we learn who our main characters are. Why Taylor left, why she's now returning, and why exactly she isn't the biggest fan of her return. As well as we soon learn that the guys all have some animosity against Taylor for leaving them all behind.

Shoot Me Cupid by Samantha Barrett is the second book in the Malevolent Sinners Series, however is a standalone and can be read on its own. Samantha, I blame you that now I wanna fall in love with step daddy and his sons and be railed into oblivion.

This novella is fast, packed with the most delicious spice and will get you stuffed in every chapter, in every corner, bed, table, motorcycle, or surface in existence, with one or more members at once. This is an MMFM ( the MM are not bio related, if u ask me unfortunately, yeah yeah I’m one of those sick pups), everything about this is perfect, just wanted more and the taboo just made it so much more delicious!

Perfect Valentine’s treat delivered by a full cast in duet style, this audiobook, gives us everything and more. We have Mollie Starks as Taylor, who was the perfect cast, with all her “special voice effects”. The boys and the dad are narrated by CJ Mission, Lance Greenfield and Tor Thom, each of them was perfect for the roles, they brought the tension, spice and treats to our ears. The editing team are wizards because this was a flawless cadence and sound throughout the entire performance.

Thank you Blue Nose Audio and Samantha for this Valentine’s treat as an ALC, my opinion is my own.

When the dedication starts off with “Sinning is in your DNA” you know this book is gonna hit allll the right spots in allllll the right ways.

This is the second book in Samantha Barrett’s Malevolent Sinners series and it does not disappoint. I’m not sure how Samantha keeps pumping out these delicious novellas but I hope she never stops!

Taylor runs away from her stepfather and stepbrothers because they belong to an MC and she doesn’t want anything to do with that type of lifestyle. When she is forced to return home to seek their help they “punish” her for leaving in the first place.

If you like multiple MMCs that enjoy to deliver punishments in the form of multiple orgasms RUN (don’t walk) and read this book. Thank me later!

This one had me hooked from the start. Dark, chaotic, funny in that unhinged way, and emotionally messy in all the right places.

I flew through it because every chapter made me want more—more tension, more banter, more bad decisions.

And let’s talk about the smut because… whew. 🔥 Babes!!!

Super hawt, perfectly placed, and exactly what I’ve come to expect from Samantha Barrett. She does not miss. The chemistry was off the charts and those scenes? Yeah, HOT HOT HOT ♨️

I loved the characters, loved the vibe, loved how wild and unapologetic it was. If you’re here for dark romance with spice, sharp edges, and zero chill—this one delivers.

I really hated this… for me, this went past degradation and kink into misogyny and abuse. I couldn’t stand the way the MMCs talked to Taylor, and I never felt anything resembling love between them. The spice was disappointing because the majority of it included them being physically and verbally abusive to her.

Odd bits of plot were shoved in to try and make a story, but the pacing was a mess, so none of it made much sense or carried any real importance, and the book needed another round with an editor for spelling and grammar.

This was a huge letdown after I enjoyed her Christmas book, and I’m not sure I see myself trying any more books by this author.

This book was deliciously spicy in the best way - also must highlight that is the best book dedication I’ve ever read.
Loved the background story of her running but now in need of protection she has to return to her stepfather and stepbrothers. Her punishment of multiple orgasms was phenomenally written.
This novella has me completely and utterly mesmerised, I couldn’t put it down until the very last word.
Samatha Barrett never disappoints, can’t wait to see what she writes next.

Book 2 in the Melevolant Sinners series: Taylor, Xavier, Trent, and Victor. This is a forced proximity, second chance, girl on the run, why choose, forbidden taboo romance, masked men, unhinged MMCs, bada$$ FMC, pet names, age gap, dark MC romance.
Taylor is on the run from her ex boyfriend, a dangerous man, and goes to the last people she wants to but her best chance at being safe: her former step father and step brothers. When the old wounds and old flames ignite again. From love to hate to love again.
This audiobook is a shorter listen and narrated in complete duet with a full cast. This is most definitely a very spicy read. It’s manly spice really. Personally it did not have enough plot for me and I needed more to fully enjoy this book. I would definitely recommend this book/audiobook for someone that was looking for a quick and spicy read though.

I heard several previews of this book and initially thought it sounded very promising. Unfortunately, the blurbs failed to address what became a major issue for me: the unclear relationships between the three male characters. That lack of clarity ultimately became my personal ick.

I’ve never had a problem with step-relationships in fiction—stepsiblings, step-parents, none of that typically bothers me. What does bother me is ambiguity around whether characters may be having sexual relationships with a biological father or son. In this case, the lines felt far too blurred to be comfortable.

We do learn that Taylor is Victor’s stepdaughter, and that Victor is the “adopted” father of Zavier. However, it’s never clearly established whether Trent is Victor’s biological son. Because all three men appear to have sexual relationships with each other as well as with Taylor, the potential for incestuous dynamics is left uncomfortably unresolved. This ambiguity is made worse by the lack of meaningful backstory for these characters.

This is labeled as book two in what seems to be a series or anthology, yet there doesn’t appear to be any continuation of plot or characters from book one—at least not in a way that adds clarity or depth. As a result, the relationships and motivations feel underdeveloped and confusing.

The spice itself was good, but it was hard to fully enjoy when I couldn’t tell whether a father and son might be sexually involved. With minimal character development and almost no backstory, the plot ends up feeling driven almost entirely by sex rather than story.

While this is a fast-paced novella, I found myself wanting more substance—more character depth, more context, and more actual story to balance the spice

It’s a past she’s tried desperately to bury, but when she needed help, they were the only ones she could turn to.

Taylor once walked away from the three men she loved most, even though leaving nearly broke her. When Victor told her to go, it was out of protection—and she listened. Now that she’s back, Zavier and Trent are determined to make sure she never disappears from their lives again. What follows is every emotion, desire, and everything left unsaid. I have always loved how Samantha makes no attempt to soften these stories but instead gives into the secret desires we all have that we don't let free. The dedication most definitely set the tone for this dark, depraved and delicious book!

After witnessing her boyfriend un-alive someone, Taylor is forced to go back to seek protection from her motorcycle club stepfather, Victor and step brothers, Xavier and Trent. There is a lot of history between the 4 of them and even more sexual tension. Things heat up real quick once she is living with them again.

Samantha Barrett has been on my TBR since I saw her at a dark romance panel in 2025, so when I had the opportunity to receive an ALC of Shoot Me Cupid I jumped on it! This book goes from zero to 60 just in the dedication and it only gets hotter from here. Despite being short, there is still some plot sprinkled in within all of the taboo spice! I loved Taylor’s sharp tongue and quick wit. Plus I am a sucker for an MC romance! I can’t wait to get my hands on more audiobooks from Samantha Barrett!

Shoot Me Cupid is narrated in duet by Mollie Stark, CJ Mission, Lance Greenfield and Tor Thom. When I think of sass and witty comments, I can’t think of a better narrator to bring that to life than Mollie. She was fantastic as Taylor. I have only listened to CJ one other time and he had a strong Italian accent, so it was interesting listening to him as Trent, I didn’t even recognize his voice which is a true testament to his capabilities. Lance was wonderful as Xavier, bringing all of his darkness to life but also showcasing the love he felt for Trent and Taylor so well. Tor was a great fit to bring Daddy Victor and his dirty mouth to life! I devoured this audio and now I want more!

A short, Valentine's listen that also has a really good plot.

After witnessing something she shouldn’t have Taylor runs back to her step-dad who is head of the Broken Cupid Brotherhood MC and step-brothers (who are not blood related and are actually boyfriends), who looking for them to protect her, but she gets and wants so much more from them.

These guys love and protect Taylor with a passion but when her mother died there was a major miscommunication which made Taylor run and now they all have to pull together to gain a sure footing - you won't be disappointed with this really steamy audiobook.

The narration is excellent and two of the narrators are new to me but I will definitely be looking to hear more of their work.

Hot, delicious and forbidden. Shot Me Cupid is a short and steamy audio novella that will leave you hot under the collar.

Hey everybody welcome back to another audiobook review so we are talking about the super quick Novella shoot me Cupid by Samantha Barrett and if you guys are just looking for something that is complete smut no plot this is a perfect little Novela for you guys to read/listen to! It is narrated by the cast of Mollie Stark, CJ Mission, Lance Greenfield and Tor Thom. They all do such amazing jobs in this, I have been on a Mollie Stark and Tor Thom kick recently. It seems like all the audiobooks. I’ve listened to the last little bit, have them together and they do an absolutely amazing job with each other. This is an MMFM Taboo why choose romance, motorcycle club and it is so freaking well written. Like I said, this is awesome no plot, but the spice is written so freaking good. Samantha did an absolutely phenomenal job writing the spice in this book. I feel like this is the perfect little Novella to get out of the reading slump.
