Oh, a few things I didn't expect and some I did. Enjoyed it very much, tho I preferred the first book in the series more. It still contains the charm, the sexual tension, and the energetic love between Alexander and Christopher, but given how the prior book ended and where this one begins, it was painful to see the lovers' separation. Alexander is hooking up with other men, drinking and taking drugs all the time. Christopher has moved home and thrown himself into work. But an advertising deal brings them back together, and the conversations that should have taken place after the previous incident finally unfold. But it wasn't enough for me! I am angry with Alexander for his betrayal. I am frustrated with Christopher for his forgiveness. And when it reaches a pinnacle, I almost don't want it to work out for them. But I still have a fondness for their relationship and believe time can heal these wounds. Yet, when the big secret is revealed at the end, paving the way for a third installment, I'm left wondering... do I want this to work out, or should they separate for good? That's good writing, careful character development, and a reason to keep reading the series!

😱 Cliffhanger

The cliffhangers in this series are absolutely killing me. I saw it coming, braced for impact, and somehow still got emotionally run over. I better be put back together because I don't know how much more my heart can take.

Picking up 2 months after the events of Book 1, this story has a completely different feel. Chris and Alex are both broken. Shadows of the people we met before. They've been traumatized by the same people in very different ways, and now they're left trying to gather the pieces and figure out how to move forward.

Christopher is managing a little better, but Alexander? He backslides hard.

If my heart broke for Alexander in Book 1, this book absolutely ground it into dust. The ugly realities of celebrity life are front and center here: the manipulation, control, lies, secrets, and impossible expectations. Everything is dragged into the light, and it's heartbreaking to watch.

At the same time, I'm so incredibly proud of Alexander. Even though help was forced upon him, he chose to do the work. He put in the time, faced some brutal truths, and fought through things that honestly might have broken me.

Book 1 was very much Christopher stepping into Alexander's world. In this installment, the roles reverse, and Alexander steps into Christopher's, but my heart shattered for Christopher. The amount of pain he's carrying is almost unbearable to witness. Every time these two manage to find happiness, life is determined to rip it out from under them again.

The voicemail from Book 1 destroyed me, and Book 2 gives us original songs. Ugh. They're absolutely perfect. I've had them on repeat ever since finishing.

January cannot come fast enough. I need this HEA more than I need oxygen at this point. It is the hardest-earned happily-ever-after I've ever read and there better be an HEA, or I might have to quit reading altogether. 😂

Thank you, @abjacksonauthor and @booksirens for the ARC.

Sometimes sequels exist because readers aren’t ready to say goodbye to characters yet. Other times, they exist because the story genuinely still has a journey to take. Stolen Hearts absolutely falls into the second category. Rather than replaying the beats of the first book, this sequel digs deeper into Christopher and Alexander’s relationship and asks the much messier question: what happens after the fantasy?

The novel picks up several months after the cliffhanger ending of book one, and immediately the vibe has shifted. If Stolen Moments belonged to Christopher, then Stolen Hearts is undeniably Alexander’s story. We’ve left behind the dreamy bubble of the London hotel — that gorgeous little cocoon where Christopher and Alexander could pretend the outside world didn’t exist — and now reality has barged through the door wearing trainers and carrying emotional baggage.

And honestly? I loved that.

This book understands that relationships change once the adrenaline of first love settles down. The honeymoon phase is officially over, and now these two men have to figure out how to survive each other’s trauma, addiction issues, careers, families, and all the chaos life keeps throwing at them. Alexander especially feels more vulnerable here, and watching him try to hold himself together while also holding onto Christopher made him feel richer and more human than ever before.

At the same time, I really enjoyed seeing Christopher step into his own power during the Brewed Christmas campaign. One of the smartest things this sequel does is rebalance the relationship dynamic a little. Christopher isn’t just swept up in Alexander’s orbit anymore — he’s capable of matching him. Watching that shift happen made their relationship feel stronger, sexier, and honestly more believable.

There are also smaller moments scattered throughout the novel that quietly wrecked me emotionally. The sugar packet scene? Ridiculously sweet. It perfectly captured the tenderness between them underneath all the fighting, stress, and emotional bruises.

One line that hit especially hard was: “Nothing ever seems to be easy or straightforward when it comes to us.” Which honestly feels like the unofficial slogan for Christopher and Alexander at this point.

And then there’s this beautiful line:
“That’s how families are. Messy. Stitched together by stories and scars. Tangled like old Christmas lights — but still glowing in all the right places when you need them most.”

That emotional messiness is exactly what makes this series work for me. It’s romantic and painful and frustrating and hopeful all at once.

This book ends on a cliffhanger I admittedly saw coming. What I did like about it though, was that it totally followed the reality of events. What really got me though, was the shocking turn the last 45 pages takes. That genuinely caught me off guard and had me putting the book down for 15 minutes. I’ll absolutely be there for the third installment, hoping Alexander and Christopher somehow find the happy ending they deserve.

I was given an ARC copy of the novel by A.B. Jackson in exchange for my honest review.

God dammit A.B., how can you do this to us AGAIN?! When will Alexander and Christopher get a break? Every time things seem to be getting better, something or someone always gets in the way 😭

After the cliffhanger from book one, I wanted them to find their way back to each other again. To work on their fallout and Alexander’s addiction. There was so much hurt and resentment on Christopher’s part that I hoped would be resolved once the truth came out. And for a moment there it looked like they would make it through.

Once they communicated and Alex went to rehab, I thought they would once again be the couple in love we loved in book one. Alexander really put in the work to get better and to win Christopher back.

But of course it couldn’t last. Not only does Christopher have to deal with his roommate leaving, he also suffers a devastating loss and now he has to deal with the consequences of the night Alexander lost himself. How many more blows can a man take before he completely breaks?

Out of all of those blows, having to face Alexander’s latest disaster is probably the straw that broke the camel’s back. At this point I think I rather they break up for good than this ping pong match of a relationship that only seems to bring them pain.

I love Alexander, I really do, but I think Christopher deserves better. Alexander has never put Chris first on anything. He’s had to be second choice for every decision Alexander or his team has made and I don’t think it’s fair to Christopher.

I feel that their reconciliation should have been done differently. I know Alex felt the need for control, but that wasn’t the right moment to claim it. He made Christopher feel like crap and once again didn’t take Christopher’s feelings into consideration.

Right now I have a love/hate relationship with this book. My heart is broken for so many reasons. The last few chapters wrecked me and I was just waiting for the other shoe to drop about Laura. I saw it coming right away but I held hope I was wrong.

I probably won’t be ok for a few weeks. This one gutted me deeper than the first one. Overall, I really enjoyed it. The songs once again were beautiful. Can’t wait to listen to the whole thing.

Just for everything that’s holy, GIVE THEM A HEA ALREADY! Enough is enough. They’ve both been through enough heartache to last a lifetime. I just want to see them happy😭

I was a big fan of Stolen Moments, and was really hoping for a HEA for my boys. That was when I thought it was a duet vs trilogy though so that’s my bad. Some pieces of the story worked really well like depicting Alexander’s addiction, but overall it was missing that magical sexual tension and excitement that SM had in spades. Christopher and Alexander’s reconciliation is too rushed, we don’t even get a new first kiss before a frankly uncomfortable sexual scene. After which Alexander is confused by Christopher’s distance which just showcases a selfish lack of maturity more so than the previous installment. Both characters I think showed us too much of their worst qualities with not enough of the good to balance things out. Maybe I was just too excited for this book and too hopeful my boys would get things worked out. I’ll still read the final installment, I just hope there is less trauma and more healing.

Also, yes there is a trigger warning, however: I implore anyone who is including death due to pregnancy complications and including pregnancy loss especially late in gestation to include a separate warning for that specifically. Triggering as hell.

If you haven’t read Book 1, Stolen Moments, and the prequel, Stolen Nights, you’ve got a LOT of catching up to do. Go read the prequel and Book 1, hurry, and then come back to Book 2. Otherwise, none of this is going to make you very happy. Trust me. I read the two, and I’m barely hanging on for this one and Book 3. I received an advance reader’s copy of the book, and I am voluntarily giving this review.

Oh, Mr. Jackson, you’ve put our couple through the wringer! I’m trusting you, because I’m so deep in this story now I can’t stop. Just a quick warning, though, that if you change your mind, don’t be surprised if a bunch of us readers don’t come after you!

Fellow readers, this book is going to take you on a wicked roller coaster ride. Read carefully and watch out for whiplash – emotional, mental, and physical. It’s a well-written and well-concealed plot. I could no more have foreseen this story if I had been told to construct the most twisty, yet captivating, tale possible.

All in all, though I greatly prefer a nice happily ever after for each story, this book is worth the read, worth the agony Christopher and Alexander go through – and put us through. I’m ready for Book 3 now!

Stolen Hearts completely stole my heart.

This emotional second-chance romance is filled with heartbreak, healing, and unforgettable characters. Alexander and Christopher's story is beautifully written, capturing the pain of misunderstandings, the weight of past mistakes, and the hope that love can survive even the hardest challenges.

I was immediately drawn into the story and found myself deeply invested in both characters. Their emotions felt raw and real, making every interaction meaningful. The author does an excellent job exploring themes of fame, mental health, addiction, trauma, and forgiveness while still delivering a compelling romance.

The chemistry between the main characters is undeniable, and I loved watching their journey unfold. The writing is engaging, the pacing kept me turning pages, and the emotional moments hit hard. There were scenes that made me smile, scenes that broke my heart, and moments that left me hoping for the best for these characters.

If you enjoy emotional contemporary romances, second chances, complex characters, and stories that take you on an emotional rollercoaster, I highly recommend Stolen Hearts.

A powerful, heartfelt, and unforgettable read.

I’m hovering between a 4 and 4.5 on this one. I feel like there is SO much ground covered in this compared to the first book. And it’s a roller coaster. It’s not really a love story but more of a relationship story. And not just theirs but relationships with lots of people in their world. The drama, the chaos, and the anguish of trying to make your way through life when it insists on throwing curveballs at every turn.
Please head the content warnings in this book as they are vastly different and unexpected compared to the first. There is an event in this book that caught me completely off guard even after I had read the content warnings. So, take care.
I feel like this was a necessary installment for the series and was very compelling to be sure. It wraps up a lot of what happened with book 1 and sets up the narrative for book 3. I do sort of wish we got some of the softer moments where they are able to smooth things over but there was just so much other detail packed in to this that I don’t know that there was room for it.
I mean when I say roller coaster, I’m really not kidding. Whew! I was chomping at the bit for book 2 but I might be a little hung over from it now.

After that cliffhanger in book one, sᴛᴏʟᴇɴ ʜᴇᴀʀᴛs called my heart for another incredible adventure with my absolute favorite popstar Alexander Morgan. How much I loved reconnecting with him! My heart broke for him the entire time, Alex truly deserves the absolute best and I just wanted to give him a big hug. I felt myself inside the novel next to him and Christopher.

What an emotional rollercoaster of a novel this adventure was! My absolute favorite scene was the Grammy, Alex's speech was the most heartfelt thing ever. And another cliffhanger?! Why would you do this to me A.B. Jackson? I truly hope book three will come soon. I need a happily ever after for these wonderful men! I honestly thought the previous ending was cruel. But to end a book with a cliffhanger like this is another level! I really, really need the next book as soon as possible!

To all MM romance readers, please don't hesitate to pick up this incredibly heartfelt series. It's truly perfect for Pride month.

Stolen Heart by A.B. Jackson — Book 2 .

I was lucky to get an ARC—thank you! I couldn’t wait to dive in after hearing the audio Alexander sent to Christopher in Stolen Moments (Book 1).

The music industry comes alive on the page, and the emotions between Alexander and Christopher? A full-throttle roller coaster .

That ending?! Total shocker 😱—now I NEED Book 3! Jackson’s writing pulls you in completely and the songs make you feel Alexander’s struggle in every note.
Wonderfull books, thank you A.B.Jackson for your incredible skills, waiting now for book3 trying to be patient !
I could write a lot more but there will be no teasers from me .

Alexander and Christopher’s relationship continues in full motion in Stolen Hearts! The thing about writing a review for book two of a trilogy is that I absolutely don’t want to spoil anything, but reading Stolen Moments and getting the backstory between these two was amazing. Stolen Hearts is such a great continuation of this story and the romance between Alexander and Christopher is intriguing at every turn of this book.

One of my favorite things about this book was seeing Alexander and Christopher interact in such different settings and ways from the first book. They’re pushed to grow so much as individuals and as a pairing in this story. It wasn’t always easy for either of them, but I was always rooting for them to stand up for themselves and to be their truest versions regardless of their circumstances.

A.B. Jackson writes an honest, raw, and emotional portrayal of Alexander’s personal struggles with addiction. The dynamic that unfolds within this relationship for Alexander and Christopher is complex and deeply personal. The highs and the lows were very real, and I appreciated the care with which these topics were approached!

I voluntarily reviewed a free advance copy of this book provided by the author. The opinions expressed are my own.

This was the first book I've ever been given ahead of time for a honest review.

I chose to do this, mostly because the first book hooked me with its claws and I've honestly only gotten that attached to characters maybe twice in the last two years of reading this type of romance. (wolfsong from tj klune being the other)

My first thoughts are: Five Stars...a must read...and an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish.

Before I get started. It is obvious that AB Jackson was in the music industry. The songs with the books really add...make sure you listen to them. Also, these are not trope music romance novels. This was a fresh take and I am not going to lie. I fell hard for this series.

If you liked the first book, this is more of the same. Just more of a second chance vibe...which works. Alexander has hit rock bottom since book 1 and we see how rough things got...if you've read the first, you know that Christopher and Alexander were manipulated by Alex's management and they broke up....so the first part of the book is getting them back together and using Chris's job to do so was a brilliant way to do so and keep it believable.

I will be frank. This book will break your heart. I love Alex and Chris...and damn it they both go through it in this one. Chris even more so than Alex, but to be honest a lot of Alex's issues go far before the book series started and I couldn't imagine dealing with what he did.

Watching them find each other again....buy things for each other....and watching Alex regain what made him so adorable in book 1 was nice to see. We don't really see the music side as much in this as Alex is mostly in the rest period he so desperately needed during book 1, but what we do get is great. The new songs are wonderful....broken man is legit and tells exactly how Alex has been feeling.

Chris has a lot happen...and sadly, he isn't dealing well...and without spoiling...It is heartbreaking. He loses a lot, but this time Alex is there....even if sometimes he pushes him away.

The romance scenes are well done...and the first explains a lot of Alex's current mindset.

Should you read this?

Absolutely. We learn a lot more about Alexander and how he is dealing with Paul...and his other management...and how he starts to take control of his life. I've seen some people bash on how glossed over the addiction and everything was in the first book....but that book was only about ten days of time. This is over a nine month span and a lot more is shown. We only saw a snapshot of the characters, now we see them for real...how they act in crisis, when things are good...and when things are so bad most of us would shut down. We get to see them laugh...and we get to see them break.

And we still have one more book to go.

Spice level:

There is sex, and most of it is well done. The first time shows how messed up their relationship has gotten, but the others are very much in line with the first book. I don't really read these books for the sex, I read for the plot...but if you read for the spice...you'll be fine. It isn't all the time, but it will give you what you need.

Warnings:

There are some very triggering things in this book. Chris goes through some trauma and Alex explains a lot of his own childhood trauma. This isn't something that is glazed over and both main characters are reeling from these issues. However, there are many good things that happen as well and seeing Alexander begin to recover made me smile more than once.

I love these characters, and the last 40 pages are a tough read, but one of the reasons I love AB Jackson is that he didn't shove all of this into one 340 page book. This book is to show us all of the darkness...what breaks them...so that we can see the light in the finale. Please give this one a read...Alexander and Christopher deserve it.

Things I loved (spoilers)
How well addiction and recovery is written from Alexander's POV

How loving Alexander becomes as he tries to better himself (remember, he is only 23 when it starts, he's just a kid himself)

The way AB Jackson writes pain. He will gut wrench you in the best way.

THE SONGS! DEAR GOD! I'm a Broken Man is LEGIT. I’d heard the demo awhile back. But this fully finished version reminds me of 90s music in the best way. Plus the song rips open all of Alexander’s pain and allows him to recover. It’s a beautiful part of his recovery.

I love how he makes you love or hate characters...Paul...gag me...everyone hates Paul...but Kelly...her love for her brother is so genuine.

I love how Chris holds his own against Paul...because F that guy.

I'd say more, but you need to read it yourself
I cannot recommend this book enough. If you like the pop star/second chance trope. This is for you.

Make sure you get a hold of the epilogue linked at the end of the book. It’s pretty important to seeing how things ended.

Overall reco: I couldn't put it down..
OKAY. WOW. How do I review this book? To be honest I finished it a few hours ago and I'm still reeling from the last several chapters (And the downloadable epilogue!). I enjoyed the book, but I also hated it. Have you ever read a book or series and couldn't put it down because you needed to know but you also would get so flabbergasted at what happened in the story? Yeah? That's me. I found myself constantly making time for it, I finished it faster than I expected because I was so into the story. That said, I enjoyed it like I enjoyed gossip, appalled but down for more.
First, the spice.. didn't get much better or different from the first book, it's flat and transactional. The scenes are like half a page at the most. Lube does not exist in this world. And while I understand that books can't be full on with the reality of mm sex there are things that can be covered (like lube?). Anyhoo, I wouldn't recommend this book or the others in the series for the spice so it's a bit of a meh point (but I wood for the story). Just know it didn't get better between the books.
The characters.. I still really don't like Alex. Yes, he has problems. Addiction, trauma, ect. Yes, this is the middle book of a trilogy and it's going to be the darkest and hardest of the books. I'm glad that the characters became more fleshed out but through all of that with Alexander I felt like Chris was just.. screwed. Every step of this book felt like a 'this is why Alexander is a dick, see? feel sorry for him.' I felt like Chris got no love, not reprieve, no chance to process everything and was just expected to keep moving, chin up, smile and let the manchild back into his life so he could love bomb and gift bomb his way back into peoples hearts. I think the thing that solidified it for me, how much I dislike Alex, is that last chapter. Spoilers about something very significant, but I need to vent: So yeah. I hate Alex. This will not stop me from reading the last book, if only so I can get some justice for my boy Chris (who is veyr much also a manchild but god damn.)
Really this is just one fucking rug pull after another. Or a rollercoaster with no end (Mr. Bone's Crazy Ride). It was hit after hit after hit. Again, enjoyable!
There was one thing.. that I really didn't like. The amount of memes and pop culture references. Some of them made sense because of the context they happened in. But the scene with the weather lady in Oklahoma just had me rolling my eyes, and not really in a good way. The constant name dropping got a bit much sometimes as well.
If you read the first one and liked it, the second one is just as entertaining. I'm personally mad that I will now have to wait months to know how my poor baby Chris turns out.

I have mixed feelings about this one. I’m someone who constantly complains about the lack of drama in a lot of romance books being published today. So I was happy that this book had A LOT of drama, and did not suffer from saggy/boring middle part syndrome. However, the drama here was overwhelming at times, especially toward the end. Although I liked that something important to the story was happening in every new chapter/scene, I feel it could have been dialled back a little, especially considering there were things I wanted to see that didn’t end up happening.

That leads me to my next point. A lot of the scenes I was interested in seeing unfolded off-page, and I found this incredibly frustrating. For example, what did Alexander say to his family when he was finally ready to talk to them in rehab? What were the questions Christopher had for Alexander? What were his answers to those questions? It would have been good to see how they reconciled considering that Christopher was still pretty angry the last time we were with them before that horrendous sex scene? Also, I wish we had gotten to see the fall out for Christopher over Kelly’s death in stead of jumping months into the future and being told by Alexander that it had been hard for him… Like, DUHHHH!

Now, about the characterisation. Both these guys came across as incredibly emotionally stunted at times. This didn’t make a lot of sense for either of them, especially Christopher. Like, Christopher finds out that Alexander was molested as a child and doesn’t seem to care all that much about it. From the way he was acting, he may as well have just found out that Alexander broke his arm sometime in his childhood. Then jumping back to that terrible first sex scene, Alexander basically uses Christopher as a dildo and can’t for the life of himself fathom why Christopher would be a bit miffed by that. Like what?!? Even how they overcame that issue seemed somewhat lacklustre to me.

Moving on to a minor issue. I did catch more spelling and grammatical errors than I would have liked to. This book needed a little more copyediting.

Also, I don’t like that the next book in the trilogy comes out IN A YEAR! I read the first book two months ago and can barely remember some of the major plot points right now. I’m probably going to have forgotten pretty much everything about this story when book three comes out, but I guess my memory issues are more of a me problem than anything else. Still, I don’t like it. That’s why I think it’s important for writers to specify CLEARLY, even when only the first book of a trilogy is published, that this book is part of a trilogy. From other reviews I’ve read about the first book, I’m not the only one who didn’t realise that this was a series until the last page of the first book. This is an issue for me because when I’m engaging with a trilogy, what I do is wait for all books to come out before reading all of them back to back. As it is, I’m not sure I will be reading the final book in this series because I would have probably forgotten everything that happened in the first two books by the time it comes out.

Overall, I was thoroughly entertained by this book, I just think it could have been way better, like considerably better.

"I hate you, I miss you, I want you, how could you, why did you, where were you?".

This line (one of the best in the book) sums up what Book 2 in the Stolen Romance series is about - following the insane cliffhanger ending of Book 1, this second instalment follows Alexander and Christopher's story as they move forward and seek to repair their relationship. Can they be together again? Can they move beyond the heady first days of their relationship into something lasting? And how do they move forward when trust has been totally eroded?

Alexander and Christopher continue to be compelling characters - and Stolen Hearts delivered a lot of what I was looking for in the second book. The narrative arc is a longer, which gave the story more depth and moved it beyond the "whirlwind romance" feel of Book 1. It also gives us the opportunity to learn more about Alexander's backstory, along with the chance to explore complex themes around mental health and trauma. With this comes some challenges - as Alexander deals with complex PTSD, addiction and other issues, he inevitably becomes quite an unlikeable character at times - and having absolutely LOVED both Alexander and Christopher in Book 1, there were definitely times in this sequel where I wanted to give either or both of them a good shake. While Book 1 was a feel-good tale of heady romance and lust, Book 2 is darker, more complicated, messier and more mature - and it's less of an easy read as a result.

There's also less "spice" in this book, and what there is, is a relatively long time coming, which might frustrate some readers who are in it purely for the smut. The spicy scenes in this book also felt more problematic - the first one felt borderline coercive/abusive, the second takes place in a fairly grotty sounding toilet (which put me off a bit!), while at other times the sex feels incredibly transactional. Overall, the feel of these scenes perhaps serves to underline the fact that life doesn't stay a fairytale for long (if ever), even in fiction. For much of Stolen Hearts both Alexander and Christopher are emotionally shut off from each other, and maybe the nature of the sex reflects that.

As always, what A.B.Jackson does brilliantly as an author is immerse you in the world beyond the book - from the free epilogue which follows by e-mail, from the newly released real-world music tracks to accompany the book, A.B. Jackson continues to break new ground in terms of innovation. Although I'm not really the target demographic for the music, I really appreciate the effort that's gone into creating a universe beyond the books themselves - it's something that very few other authors have done, and sets the books apart from others in the same genre.

I look forward to reading the final instalment in the trilogy when it's released - and live in hope of a very happy ending to Alexander and Christopher's story!

Disclaimer: I was delighted to receive an advanced reader copy of this book from the author, however, this is an honest review that wasn't influenced by the author or anyone else.

How am I supposed to recover from that ending?!
I genuinely had to take a moment to collect myself after finishing Stolen Hearts. And somehow, A.B. Jackson manages to leave readers dangling from an even bigger cliffhanger, making the wait for the final book in the trilogy feel almost unbearable.

Alexander and Christopher truly seem like they have the entire world working against their relationship. Fame, public perception, manipulation, fear, and the constant pressure surrounding Alex create this emotional storm that never really lets up. But what stood out most to me was Alexander’s transformational journey throughout the novel. Even though I cried through so much of it, I deeply appreciated the introspective exploration of therapy and healing. You can absolutely feel Jackson’s background as a psychotherapist shining through in the way Alex learns coping mechanisms, reflects on his reactions to external crises, and slowly begins confronting the parts of himself he’s spent years burying. It felt raw, honest, and incredibly human.

And Christopher… my emotions were all over the place for him. His love, frustration, heartbreak, and resilience hit me hard, and by the end of the book my heart honestly needed a recovery period.

This book absolutely comes with trigger warnings that readers should pay attention to before diving in, but I also think the emotional experience is worth it. Jackson doesn’t shy away from difficult topics, and that vulnerability is part of what makes this series so immersive and impactful.

Also, can we talk about the MUSIC? I love (and secretly hate) how talented Jackson is at pulling readers completely into this world through the original songs and bonus material. The songs make everything feel so real that you stop feeling like a reader and start feeling like part of the fandom, emotionally invested in every lyric and every stolen moment between Alex and Christopher.

Now the only thing left is Stolen Romance… because after that ending, I desperately need to know how their story finally ends.

Thank you Jackal Publishing and A. B. Jackson for this eARC!!

"Stolen Hearts" by A.B Jackson is the sequel to "Stolen Moments", which came out earlier this year. The series is an M/M romance featuring a rockstar, a forbidden relationship, and TRAUMA.

It follows Christopher and Alexander as they both deal with the fallout of their short-lived relationship in London. There's addiction, spiraling, and therapy. So much (needed) therapy.

Ratings
Overall: 5/5 hearts - This book is excellent. It's real, heartfelt, and filled with imperfect people trying to make it work. I loved every second I spent reading it.

Peppers: 1/5 - This book really isn't spicy. There is some, which is why it gets 1 pepper, but if you blink, you might miss it.

Spice: 2/5 - The spice isn't amazing. BUT I don't think it was meant to be. Sex in this book is deeper, more emotional; it's used to reflect on a character and their head space rather than to get the reader hot and bothered.

Plot: 5/5 -
- Storyline: The story is filled with drama. It's the book equivalent of a soap opera, except all of the drama that occurs is realistic. It feels so much more overwhelming because it really could happen to someone.

And then there's the romance/relationship aspect. It's COMPLICATED. Filled with emotions, family trauma, mental health issues, societal pressures, and more.

It's not the fluffy love story that I usually like to read. But it's equally as important. It's a representation of a real relationship; a reminder that love is messy.

- Characters: They're all excellent. Christopher and Alexander are flawed people with just enough redeeming characteristics to keep you routing for them. Even the side characters that you want to hate, show little glimmers that make you rethink writing them off entirely.

- Writing: Amazing. I think I mentioned this in the Stolen Moments review, but Jackson does incredible things with words. The way he controls a scene is something to be admired.

Page Count: 401
Time to Read (Estimate): 7 hours

*I did receive an ARC of this book. However, this review is 100% honest and voluntary.*

Recovery, reconciliation and regret

This was a much tougher read than Stolen Nights and Stolen Moments. There's a lot of trauma, grief and recovery in these pages and the trigger warnings don't go far enough. If you have any triggers in respect of pregnancy, please be aware that there is in this (not graphic on the page but extremely traumatic for characters and readers alike) and be kind to yourself.
Alexander is spiralling, his additions getting the better of him, and it's not easy to read. Christopher is heartbroken and angry, throwing himself back into his work to try and forget what happened between him and one of the most visible stars on the planet. It's not a pretty picture for either of them.
I wanted Alexander to get better and I loved how his recovery was treated with thought and respect here, showing how difficult it was to process everything that had happened to him over the years which lead to all his trauma and the inevitable fallout.
Christopher gets less page time, understandably. He's ambushed in his career by Alexander, forcing him to work with Alexander and his team and though nothing has changed, Alexander wears him down and they resume their clandestine relationship. It's an unbalanced relationship in every way, with everything in Alexander's favour and I wished Christopher got more respect and consideration from Alexander.
I wanted there to be more joy and happiness between the two of them but it seemed to be focusing more on what was wrong than what was right. There was no quiet time when they could just be, and I missed that.
I knew there would be another cliffhanger and I knew what it was going to be very early on. It frustrated the hell out of me, to say the least, and again, it wasn't handled at all well by Alexander. That man has some serious grovelling to do in Stolen Romance.

‼️SPOILERS‼️

🌟 Read Your Triggers 🌟

I really need to go back to read the first book in the series because after reading the last chapter and man, that last line, which I was not prepared for, I need to play catch up. This book makes you go through so many feelings with these two MC’s.

First off, I cannot stand Paul. Everything he did was just ridiculous and over the top. I don’t want to give too much but he’s just one of those men.

I loved how emotional you feel during this book. When Alexander tells his story about what happened with his tutor, gosh my heart broke so much. I wanted to slap Paul with his comment afterwards.

The forced proximity is amazing because I just love how they came together.

There are so many tough moments but I wasn’t expecting the ending to have me wishing that Christopher didn’t have to go through such a hard moments. Gosh, I just have no words.

I really hope that Stephen gets his karma because him blaming Christopher is just laughable and I’m so glad Christopher blocked him and Ryan.

Also, Laura… ugh. Besides Paul, if there is a character, it’s her. I just knew from the beginning that she was up to no good.

This book makes you really want more because this makes you feel every heartbreak, every grief, and every emotional moment. The way that this author brings these characters to life is just amazing because you will feel every emotion he puts in this book and it will make you eager for the next part.

I’ve also never read a book where it shocks me when things will be good and then bam, drama happens and it just keeps happening. If you want your emotions all over this place, read this book because geez!

I received a copy of this book and this is my honest review.

Emotional rollercoaster

I am absolutely floored by this book. There were so many unexpected twists and turns and the last few chapters were painful and shocking beyond anything I could have ever expected. Listening to this in audio has been a treat. I love hearing the emotions portrayed through an audio book. This series is even more special since you get the songs on it too. This is so fun and unique to this series.

We come into this book with the men separated due to the events at the end of book 1. Both men are struggling with what happened. Unfortunately for Alexander that means sobriety is out the window and he is drinking, doing drugs and sleeping around. He is filming the movie but it's bringing up memories from his past and feeding more into the destruction.

Christopher is doing his best to get back in the good graces at work. When the guy who "saved the day" from his last issue gets fired for his relations with a coworker Christopher finds himself taking over a coffee campaign. The catch though is that Alexander is going to be in it and they will finally be forced to speak.

This book was really emotional and touched on a lot of difficult topics. We have addiction, self unaliving attempt by a secondary character, loss, divorce, and dealing with the trauma the Alexander talks about that I am not going to spoil. However I do suggest you check your triggers on this one.

I am still reeling over that ending and I have no idea how this is going to play out. These guys need each other now more than ever but this is definitely going to be the straw that broke them right now. I have no clue how this is going to come together but I desperately need the next book.

Thank you so much to the author, AB Jackson, for sending me an ARC of Stolen Hearts. This book truly never has a dull moment. In the first book, Christopher and Alexander’s relationship exists in this very small world without the daily life stressors and life events that relationship must withstand. The first book took place in a very short amount of time where the second book is all about how their relationship can withstand the million and one things coming their way. Alexander’s addiction is a main focus, especially at the beginning of the book and Christopher’s reaction to the addiction and recovery process. This book also shows how the relationship is supposed to move forward from the ending of the first book. There are so many stressors these two must face that you truly are never left feeling bored and are always wondering how they’re going to make it through. So much of the second installment was focused on Alexander and his downfall and growth. I truly wish to see more about Christopher and where he is mentally because I feel there were so many things, especially at the end of this book that weren’t explored and I hope to see that in future books. Another reviewer shared that sequels can often be used to set up stories for future books and I truly feel that’s what this book is doing and I’m excited to see where the series goes.

This is the second book in the Stolen Romance trilogy and I would definitely recommend reading the first one prior to reading this one. So, I listened to the first book which I prefer, especially with emotional stories and i didn't know how i would enjoy reading this one but I wasn't disappointed. I couldn't put the book down.
At the end of book one singer Alexander and Christopher's romance is rocked apart when a photo of them is leaked to the press. Alexander is in the closet and his agent is forcing him to flee and deny his sexuality. Fast forward two months and Alexander is struggling. He is recording a movie that he isn't really interested in and is drinking and taking drugs again. At the same time Christopher is trying to moving on and focusing on his job and his sister's pregnancy. When Alexander is featuring in an ad that Christopher firm is making they realise that there is still a strong connection and chemistry between them, however there is a lot of hurt and issues to work through. When they finally feel like they're doing well, tragedy strikes when Christopher's sister and nephew dies in childbirth. And the final strike is when this erratic actress who Alexander worked turn up with a baby and says he is the father. My heart literally broke for them. I'm looking forward for them to hopefully get their hard fought hea in book 3.

After finishing the latest book in the series, and honestly, I’m still reeling from it. The whole Alexander Morgan storyline hit me hard dealing with so much hurt and destruction. His loss of sobriety and the entire Laura saga made the book almost too much to handle. I was really hoping for a different story, a happier outcome, but instead, it was all so dark and depressing. The voicemail cliffhanger from the first book led into a ton of drama and self-destruction that nearly made me quit reading. I personally prefer stories that are a bit lighter and more uplifting, especially when I want to relax.

The heartbreak throughout the novel was unbearable. Every chapter focusing on Alexander just broke me, watching him spiral further into darkness.

On the flip side, the music and songs were amazing and really added depth to the story. The new guy Marco starting at Christopher’s job brought an interesting twist I didn’t see coming.

But wow, those last few chapters… they completely destroyed me and broke my heart. I’m desperate for the next book—I have to know what happens next! Even if I’m unhappy with where things seem to be heading for our leads, the characters and story have my full attention.

I guess what I’m saying is—great writing, but be warned, this book is a rollercoaster of emotions. I can’t wait to see what’s next, but man, I’ll need some cheering up afterward!

Stolen Hearts by A.B. Jackson dives back into the turbulent, intoxicating relationship between Alexander Morgan and Christopher Foster — and wow, it hurts in all the right ways. Picking up after the devastating fallout of the leaked video, we find Alexander spiraling into hookups, drinking, and self-destruction, while Christopher retreats home and buries himself in work. The separation was painful to read… and honestly? I’m still mad at Alexander. And maybe a little frustrated at Christopher for forgiving him so easily.
When an advertising deal forces them back together, the long-overdue conversations finally happen — raw, messy, and emotional. We get much deeper insight into Alexander’s past and trauma, which adds important layers to his behavior and coping mechanisms. It doesn’t excuse everything… but it explains a lot.
I didn’t love this one quite as much as the first book, but the sexual tension, chaotic devotion, and magnetic pull between them is still undeniable. And that ending? Another brutal cliffhanger. I’m torn between wanting their HEA and thinking maybe they shouldn’t survive each other — which is exactly why I’ll be reading book three.
Angsty, dramatic, and emotionally layered, this trilogy is addictive in the best way.

Stolen Hearts left me with mixed feelings. I really liked how Alexander and Christopher’s relationship develops and the vulnerable moments between them—they felt real and were some of my favorite parts. I also appreciated the focus on therapy, addiction, and trauma. Another aspect I liked was how the book portrays the harsher side of the entertainment industry—the pressure, public image, and how artists are often treated as products rather than people. As someone who works in events, this felt very close to reality.

That said, I felt like there were just too many conflicts. I don’t mind conflict, tropes, or miscommunication, but the amount of it all happening at once felt like too much for me. At some point, it became overwhelming and didn’t leave much room to actually enjoy the happy moments. The lack of communication between the characters also got really frustrating after a while.

Overall, it kept me hooked, but there were parts I really loved and others I struggled to get through because they felt too heavy.

Even so, it’s an emotional and intense read that keeps you engaged. I’m not sure if I’ll continue with the series, mostly because I’m concerned the conflicts will keep escalating.

Thanks to the author for the ARC—this is just my personal opinion as a reader.

In the space of roughly 48 hours, I've read book one, the prequel, and I just finished reading book two. If book three were available, I'd read that too! Yes, that means I highly recommend this series. With that said, it's a high emotion read with lots of gut punches, but also plenty of sweetness sprinkled throughout.

Were there gut punches as punchy as book one or the prequel? No, not really. Was there a lot of angst? Yes. This time, there were also several situations that blindsided me - I didn't see them coming, and at least one of them was massively devastating. As for the ending, I did see that coming, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it plays out in book three.

The characters, main and otherwise, are strong and well written. The storyline is robust. The love story is compelling in the best way, and the main characters are growing, evolving, and becoming more of who they need to be as individuals to then be better as a couple, and it's satisfying to read the progression.

I'm grateful to have received an early copy of this book thanks to the author and to BookSirens. This review is my honest opinion. Again, I highly recommend this series. This series is one that I'll probably read again, more than once or twice.

Massive thank you to A B Jackson for sending me an ARC ebook to review and fall in love with. Physical copy has been preordered.

Where to start with this review ?

With the ending of Stolen Moments I went straight into this hoping that Chris and Alex were just that little bit closer to getting their happy ending. Not quite there yet but the foundation is strong.

What we do get is to witness them deal grief, addiction, rumours, life changing experiences which for any couple would put astronomical strain on their relationship, Chris and Alex have some amazing people in their corner to make them realise that the fight is worth it.

Yet another emotional rollercoaster read, I loved every minute also had the playlist from the Stolen Moments playing in the background.

I could wax lyrical (see what I did there) about this book all day, from the characters, the behind the scenes option of view, banter, the spice, the mental health representation but all I say is add this to your list and enjoy.

Don't forget to check out playlists in each book and the songs featured throughout, worth a listen.
