Some love stories burn slow—but leave the deepest scars. A heartfelt, emotional romance with political undercurrents, hidden truths, and a love that dares to hope—even when the world is watching. Jin is the second book in the Seoul Boys series.
Ok, so the romance was romancing but let me tell you the Stress of grandma’ story oh my Word. Do not start reading this late at night. I stayed up until I knew what happened. Ava and Jin were smoking together and while it took me a minute to get into it, once the story was rolling it was great. I actually really liked this novel even more than book one. One was fun. Had an older woman and a younger (adult) idol. This book leaves more into the personal history of Jin and did I mention he comes with a bananas soulbrother Kiki who I am Dying to see who he ends up falling for. The beginning prose is poetic instead of explosive and while the spice is there, it’s not the spiciest on the menu. Just read it for grandmother, and Kiki, and our stubborn Ava and Jin. I still say no way he wasn’t clocked out at the tower. My kid can recognize an idol by their eyes y’all. Their Eyes. But eh that’s fine this is fantasy and it would be cool to live in a world where celebrities could love who they wished without fans being idiots about it.
As much as I love rockstars / idol romances this one hits differently, not just with the inside look of k idols but because Jin’s character has so much to unpack. I love that Ava despite everything she went though still stuck to her guns with what she needed to do ( with a little push from Kiki) This quick read had me kicking my feet at the cute moments and reaching for the tissues as well. A great cozy idol romance.
To me this book, the second of the series was the best. Had to stay up all night reading because I wanted to get to the end. Why? Because true love is the best when it comes from the heart and I wanted to get to the story of Jin's grandmother and what Ava does for him. I hope that the storyline will continue with all the members of the Seoul Boys.
My heart was RACING in the last 15% percent and if Ava was really going to get her out or not. I love this book and how fast paced it is. Thank you for the menu at the end of the book I got so hungry reading this ahaha. Jin and Ava are my favourite currently but this book has me so excited for Kiki’s and Jay’s books!
