🎄 Deck the Halls with The Ex Clause — A Smart, Swoony Christmas Romance by Mila Rhodes ❄️When a PR powerhouse fakes a relationship to fix her reputation, the only thing she didn’t plan for… was falling in love.
Natalie Frost controls every headline—until her celebrity ex drops her name on live TV, turning her life into the season’s biggest scandal. With her career on the line and her mother expecting her to bring a boyfriend home for Christmas, Natalie does what she does she drafts a plan. Enter Liam Chase—steady, maddeningly sincere, and perfect for damage control. Their deal? Two weeks of fake dating in her snow-dusted hometown of Snow Valley, Vermont. No emotions. No entanglements. Just optics.
But between mistletoe games, gingerbread disasters, and late-night confessions by firelight, the lines between fake and real start to blur. And when the past—and the truth—come knocking, Natalie must decide what kind of story she’s really willing to the one that protects her, or the one that finally frees her.

Interesting story, i like another reviewer feel like i missed something through the story… the characters we good, and i enjoyed the read.
It has left me wondering if this is a .5 book in a series that I’ve missed. My first time reading this author and ill be honest ill probably read some of their other stories to see how they are.
Nice and quick read. I don’t mind the “missing a backstory” when a book is written well and i feel this was (my personal opinion), the writing style and premise are enough to get me interested.
Honestly, I stopped reading after 20%. I almost never do that, but I couldn't get past the fact that the story felt like it started off missing all of the needed background information. I thought maybe it would come with time, but it didn't.
