The major science fiction magazines publish hundreds of science fiction stories every year. For this first volume of Think Weirder, Editor Joe Stech evaluated 391 stories published in 2024 and selected the sixteen best concept-driven, near-future ideas about people interacting with technology. Each story is a new way of seeing the world.
Enjoyable collection with similar but ranging themes. I bought it because of the Greg Egan story and wanted to explore more "near-future" themes after reading AI 2041: Ten Visions for Our Future. I really enjoyed the stories by Chi Hui, Grant Collier and Ray Nayler each in their own way. A solid collection that opens the door to exploring more. Easy reads, thought provoking and enjoyable.
