Float is a whimsical short story told from the point of view of a weedy sea dragon featured in Collide—specifically during Chapter 13, when the main characters share a romantic indoor picnic at the aquarium.
Needless to say, things get a little wet.
A light-hearted, cheeky companion piece set in the Collide universe—a fun, imaginative peek beneath the tank.
For the best experience, it’s recommended that you read Collide by Alannah Roberts first.
All proceeds from this short story will be donated to the Great Barrier Reef Foundation, which helps protect the natural habitat of the Australian weedy sea dragon.
Alannah is an emerging indie romance author based in Australia, writing contemporary love stories with a whole lot of heart—and drama.

When she’s not writing, Alannah juggles a full-time job, life as a proud mama to her adorable daughter, wifey duties, and caring for her battalion of Pomeranians.

What to Expect 🪸Short Fun read 🪸POV from a Weedy Sea Dragon
This is a short story, it is told from the POV of a Weedy Sea Dragon Named Coral. Carol is featured in Collide, specifically during Chapter 13.. Alannah states this piece is meant to be a light-hearted, whimsical, and slightly cheeky addition to the Collide story and is just for fun….
🪸My short review🪸
FLOAT is only 9 pages and an enjoyable read. I love different POV’s and this was a great addition! Definitely worth reading Collide and then Float as a tandem read right after Chapter 13.
