OMG!! This was the perfect end to one of my favorite series! The Black Gulch Ranch series has to be read in order because of the story arc that follows the damage and crimes against the Black Gulch Ranch. This book wraps everything up in a nice package. This book is darker than any others in the series, but the shift in darkness was executed so well, and it is very fitting for this book.

There are so many things revealed in this book that had me gasping! Seeing events from the other books from Cade’s perspective was the icing on the cake. Black Gulch Ranch is a series that I will revisit often. The characters and stories that have been crafted are some of my favorites.

Cade is such a fierce protector. He’s perceptive, and this tough cowboy isn’t afraid to show his soft side. You’ll fall in love with Rosalyn. She’s shy, timid, and sheltered in the beginning. Thanks to Cade’s love for her, he helps her to find the strong woman that’s always been inside her. They both have scars, and together they find the beauty in them. I could go on and on about how much I loved this book, but I can’t give anything away.

Reins is the final book in the Black Gulch series. And it didn't disappoint.

This book is incredibly dark. The trauma both characters have gone through is alot. Rosalyn has had the most incredibly violent and trauma filled life. I have never connected to a female character like I did with Rosalyn. M.A handled Rosalyn's recovery from the trauma with amazing respect and grace and thoughtfulness. Cade's patience, encouragement and support for Rosalyn was so important for her recovery. It was also nice to see some of the events from previous books through Cade's perspective. Some of them hit just as hard this time as they did orginially.

This book was a rollercoaster and one I was happy to be on. But the happy ending was wonderful.

I really truely ment to stop reading this and go to bed. But here I set at three am finished with a book in one night in one setting. This series as a whole has been a roller coaster of emotions and I am so grateful that I got the chance to read every last one of them. This, this ending of an era? While I can say I didn’t expect it like this I CAN say that I loved everything about it. Cade is the MMC I didn’t see coming and didn’t see loving as much as I do. But holy crap the turmoil he had to go through to get his ending? Worth. Every. Damn. Moment. Without spoilers just please please give this series a chance. It’s worth it. I feel like I have said that a lot but that’s all I have for you.

The epilogue(s) for this book were AMAZING! This story was a little harder for me to read than the others in the series, but it's because of the overlapping timeline. The story, writing, characters, intrigue, and heart were all still wonderful, but I had to cycle in and out of the world so that I could remember what happened in which book at what time. I 100% plan to read this entire series again!

Reins is Book 8 in M.A. Cobb's Black Gulch Ranch Series.
This was a fantastic conclusion to this amazing series. I could not put this book down, and I did not want this series to end!
Reins is full of answers & twists and turns you will not see coming.
If you love cowboy romance with mystery and suspense? Then you have to check out this series.

Perfect Conclusion!!!

I always knew there was more to Cade and I’m so happy his book is finally here and we got the happily ever after he always should have had! Same for Mason and Dixon, everything coming full circle in a SMASH was better than I could have imagined! ♥️ Also, if we can get a side story for dear ol’ Pete, that’d be nice, he’s the MVP we didn’t even know we had.

It was a satisfying conclusion to the series. Didn’t offer anything ground breaking and read a little under developed. Skipped a climactic moment altogether and then concluded.
