If you can’t live without her... at least contract the most civilized way to hate her.

Gareth Clark doesn’t just play to win—he owns the damn game.
As the cold-as-ice owner of the L.A. Hawks, he’s built an empire on control, strategy, and zero tolerance for chaos. Which is exactly what Hazel Barrow brings into his life. She’s not just his ex—she’s his nemesis. A gorgeous, sharp-tongued sports agent who knows exactly how to push his buttons in public... and once upon a time, in private, too. When his family starts to doubt his leadership skills because of their explosive feud, he’s had enough. He needs a solution. Preferably one that involves no feelings, no drama … and absolutely no touching.

Hazel doesn’t care if she wins – as long as Gareth loses.
She’s spent years turning every encounter into a battlefield—and it’s worked. Until now. There’s a lot of money on the line, not to mention her reputation and clientele … and unfortunately, Gareth looks like sin in a suit. They need a truce. Professional boundaries, clear terms, and absolutely no loopholes. Thank goodness there’s something they’re both unbeatable negotiating. They’ll establish once and for all what they can and can’t do … and as long as neither one of them breaks the rules, there’s no problem, right?

Same amazing universe, new characters that you fall in love with. Sierra Lewis brings us book 5 in the LA Hawks Hockey series, but this book holds more bite, unknown foreplay, and feelings that are ready to burst at the seams. The MCs are written so well, it is easy to connect and feel what they are feeling. A romance that is getting a second chance is always an enjoyable trope of mine, so I was excited to read this book.

Hazel and Gareth went to Harvard together and used to date. Now they are brought together again and the sparks fly. They say they can’t stand to be around each other, but their sexual tension leaps off the pages. But as their rivalry begins to affect their professional lives, they agree to stay within the lines. With a contract that lays out the game plan, neither one is ready to catch real feelings.

The banter between our MCs is so good in this story. Sierra does a fantastic job in conveying so many hidden contexts in this story. They think they hate each other while everyone else sees their interactions are laced with more. Both are independent, hard working, and determined. Their work ethic is only rivaled by the other. It was so much fun reading about them and watching them fall head over heels for one another.

Sierra has put so much heart into this series and it is evident with every story she writes. She takes care of the details that truly connect each book and brings back past characters to catch up with. While at the same time opening up a new portion of said world so it doesn’t grow stagnant. While our MCs think they are writing a contract to get along, they are really writing an guide to how to fall in love with the other.

As always, review any author notes before reading.

Thank you Sierra Lewis for the ARC read.

I Pucking Hate You by Sierra Lewis is a workplace, second-chance romance featuring a rather unusual twist — a sex contract.

The premise is strong and different from others I’ve read recently, which made it feel like a refreshing read. Gareth and Hazel attended Harvard together, but Hazel ended their relationship so she could focus on her studies. Seven years later, their paths cross constantly through work: Gareth now owns the L.A. Hawks Hockey Team, while Hazel represents some of the players as their agent. The tension between them is obvious to everyone around them, and it begins to affect the working environment.

In an attempt to clear the air, they decide that sleeping together again might resolve the unresolved tension between them. Being lawyers, they even go as far as drafting a contract to make sure their arrangement stays secret. Hazel is particularly concerned about being taken seriously by her clients if the relationship becomes known.

Of course, it doesn’t take long for them to realise that their feelings from seven years ago never really disappeared. Hazel, however, remains hesitant to fully trust those emotions. This eventually leads to a breakup… which, rather unexpectedly, gets resolved in a prison cell.

This might actually be my favourite book in the series so far. That said, it didn’t quite reach four stars for me. I personally prefer first-person POV, and I would have liked a little more emotional depth and connection between the characters.

I Pucking Hate you was a great read. I loved the two main characters.

Garrett is the Co-Owner of the LA Hawks Hockey team. he is known as a cold, calculating, and strict owner. He is a workaholic and it shows in his personal life.

Hazel is a sports agent at the top of her game. She has a few clients that play for the Hawks. Negotiations require her to meet with Hawks ownership fairly often.

The problem? Hazel broke up with Garrett in college and then graduated ahead of him from law school. Their rivalry has been intense ever since she returned to LA.

Contract negotiations for a key Hawks player force them together more than often. After constant bickering they use their love for legal documents to draft a contract to establish guidelines for their behavior while at work. It changes the dynamic so much that it leaves them both questioning if hate is really what they feel for each other.

I’m a total sucker for a second-chance, rivals-to-lovers story, and this one delivered. I found both Garrett and Hazel’s journeys of self-discovery incredibly relatable and well-earned. While this book works perfectly as a standalone, I’ve loved every installment in this series so far. If you're looking for a romance with electric tension and deep heart, definitely add this to your TBR!

Thank you to Sierra Lewis for the eARC.

Bickering can be the best kind of foreplay.
Gareth Clark is the closed-off, controlled, hard to read owner of the LA Hawks, who feels pressure to succeed and be the best, because of his last name and his family’s legacy.
Hazel Barrow is a well accomplished lawyer turned sports agent, wicked talented and razor sharp. She had to fight her whole life to prove she is worthy and good at her job.
Their paths have always crossed and their past left unresolved issues between the two, making it hard to ignore.
What makes it even more difficult is the sizzling chemistry and crazy fights, which leads them to come up with a full proof crazy plan and even crazier contract.
Sierra Lewis gives us a story full of banter, yearning, some drama and a lot of bottled-up feelings.
I Pucking Hate You gives us imperfect, insecure, real characters that hide underneath a professional façade, characters that need to feel wanted, chosen, protected and loved. It also shows us how love can be hidden but not smothered, how sacrifices aren’t sacrifices if made for the right person and how rules are meant the be broken (in the best of ways, of course!).
Thank you for the ARC.

Two ex lovers paths are crossed with him being a hockey team owner, she a hockey player agent, where the hockey player plays for his team. one run when feelings get too much, the other shut down, what do they have in common? they "hate" each other and gets on the other persons nerve every time they interact, but sometimes hate is very close to love.

I give this book 5 out of 5 stars because it is so freaking entertaining! the banter between the main characters is off the charts! one come back funnier than the other😂 the whole book is so easy to read, the characters no matter how little they are mentioned, give you a good sense of their personality, and the friendships are really funny and heartwarming. the intimate scenes are really hot, i almost blushed reading them! and no, they are not kinky, they are just really, really hot! And jesus christ, the chaos between the FMC and MMC in the later part of the book made my heart squeeze, i almost felt their panic myself.
I loved the ending, it was a really nice wrap up from how their relationship started.

I can recommend this to everyone who enjoys a funny and easy going romance.

Boy oh boy, Sierra doesn't miss this book either!

I Pucking Hate You finally delves into Gareth and Hazels' story. We've seen them before in Sierra's books. Gareth is the new owner of the L.A. Hawks, alongside his sister Piper, and Hazels is the agent of some of his players. We know they hated each other; we know they went to law school together but until now we didn't know why they constantly get on each other’s nerves.

This novel is full of banter, of obvious flirting and chemistry these two share. Also, the obvious stubbornness and impossibility of moving on from what they shared at school.

I love this one (like all Sierra's books) because once again it shows the fragilities and insecurities of people. Once again we find characters who hide under a strong armor that they simply want to be loved, protected and chosen by the people we are surrounded with.

Thank Sierra as usual for your wonderful books, I get excited every time I see your name coming up on my email account.

How do you work with the one person you don’t want to have feelings for?

I Pucking Hate You is the latest novel in the LA Hawks series and is just as fun as the rest of the series. I have been waiting for this one since these characters first appeared, and I was not disappointed.

We finally get the full story behind Gareth and Hazel’s relationship and what a story it is. Gareth is broody, grumpy, and most people are scared of him. Hazel is strong, feisty, and cares for her clients like family.

The problem? They can’t stand being near each other and take every opportunity to get under the other’s skin. Hazel remembers what Gareth was like when he was with her, and he can’t forget what life was like with her.

Gareth and Hazel’s story has everything you are looking for. There is undeniable tension, great banter, two MCs who want each other but won’t admit it, and a group of side characters that are tired of watching them not live their lives. I loved everything about their story, and you will too.

Come join Gareth and Hazel as they navigate the contracts and clauses of love.

Whew...This couple has more issues than Time Magazine.
He's tired of trying to convince people that he's good enough, smart enough and that he's more than his last name. Meet Gareth Clark co-owner of the L.A. Hawks.
She's new money....grew up poor, went to Harvard on scholarship, where she dealt with more than her fair share of mean, rich kids. She's worked her backside off to get to where she is. This is Hazel Barrow, sports agent...who hated Gareth Clark since college, after she broke up with him....
Just let that simmer for a little bit.
Excellent book. The banter is very nearly perfect. Their feelings are big and fly off the page. I read this book really quickly! I've read this whole series and while it's not necessary, it was nice to see what our book boyfriends have been up to.
I'm hooked on all things Sierra Lewis....
You are going to love it!

Book 5 in the L.A Hawks series finally gives us the story for Grumpy Gareth and this is where we find out how he became so grumpy. We’ve met Gareth over the course of the other books as he’s the GM of the Hawks, who runs it alongside his sister Penny. Hazel is Gareth arch nemesis, an ex from college and also agent to half his teams players. It’s a whole lot of complicated but she broke up with him and he’s been left reeling ever since. I’m not picking sides, but my heart broke a little for Gareth! Loved the banter and ALL the contract negotiations!

This book was a great enemies to lovers romance. It was full of that banter that will have you giggling.

Gareth is the grumpy and broody co-owner of the LA Hawks and he is very closed off. Hazel is an attorney turned sports agent who has made a name for herself. These two have a past, but their chemistry is still off the charts and undeniable.

The way I was cracking up over their “contract.” They were doomed from the beginning but though a contract could prevent any feelings. Oh they were so wrong.

Literally there has not been one book in this series that I haven’t LOVED!!! This may be one of my favorites 🤩

So happy Gareth got his HEA 🥰
Gareth, owner of the LA Hawks, and Hazel, big time sports agent, used to date in college. But for the last 7 years, they’ve been enemies. But when they make a contract to try to get along for the sake of business, the mutual hate is slowly looking a lot like love.

Ahhhh Sierra you’ve done it again!

I Pucking Hate You is such an entertaining, with great banter between Hazel and Gareth. The chemistry between them is sizzling and with them having a past together, the tension is thick. They do everything they can to get under each other skin.

Gareth is the broody and grumpy co-owner of the L.A Hawks and he now has to work with the agent of his players, Hazel, who happens to be his ex, who broke things off with him. This explains so much when it comes to Gareth! Loved their story!
