I got to Beta read this one and wow I loved it so much. Everything about Morgan and Sylvan call to me. They hate each other so much so the banter is top notch. The spice is SPICING and the story is awesome with delicious twists and turns. Can’t wait for you all to sink your claws into this one.

I need to know how I've missed Clio Evans on my radar before today, because she's fantastic and I am hooked!!! As soon as I opened to the first page, honestly speaking, it was one of the best opening paragraphs that not only caught my attention, but made me chuckle, made me intrigued, and down right made me want to know everything I possibly could about Morgan Foxmore and why she was such a bad witch.
"I've never been a good witch. Morally speaking, I am good, of course. Or I try to be most of the time. But no amount of goodness has ever been able to change the fact that despite being a Foxmore, I'm a bad witch. Not good. Not wicked. Just bad."
The story begins at a funeral for Morgan Foxglove's grandmother and not only do we find out that Morgan is labeled a bad witch because she's not superior at magic like her family line is, she's an omega, and a tad rebellious to top off everything on the naughty list as far as what's not acceptable. I couldn't have loved her more. 😍 She was not about to let life's pitfalls get her down and she was only staying in town long enough to get her inheritance and then she was leaving. Unfortunately, her grandmother's last wishes didn't quite make that possible.
Enter the mysterious lone wolf and bodyguard, Slyvan, who was originally hired to guard Morgan's grandmother, but upon the reading of will Slyvan is magically forced into a bond with Morgan. That went over like a lead balloon for so many reasons 🤣, but to spell it out under the terms of the contract, they both had to stay bound to one another for nine months for Morgan to inherit anything, also, if she incured any harm, Slyvan would feel it. That made it very interesting. For an alpha wolf who has an overly protective nature, even when he's growly and grumpy, it made it extremely hard on him when she sustained so much as a paper cut and Morgan is super stubborn, so their fisticuffs were intensely charged...all...the...time.🥵
Alongside their intense back and forth, on will they or won't they and WOW!! how hot is alpha werewolf and omega witch, who knew?!?!🥵🤣 There is a mystery to solve because hellooooo, Slyvan is a bodyguard that was originally hired to protect Morgan's grandmother. That means something nefarious is happening around town even while these two are fighting their feelings while getting drunk on each other's pheromones.🔥If they can pull away from each other long enough to figure out what's happening they may have a fighting chance. Maybe...

I loved this book!! Read it in one sitting. The plot was there through the whole book. While the spice (🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️) was definitely a key factor I didn't feel like it overtook the book. I'm also very interested in some of the side characters stories! I would love to see more of Morgan after the end of the story.

If you like paranormal or shifter romances and want to dip a dainty toe into Omegaverse stories, this might be a safe launching point. Sylvan, grumpy alpha, and Morgan, witchy omega, were quite the pair! I wasn't sure at what point they were going to get out of their own way, but there were a lot of sexy detours along the route, which were a lot of fun. 😏

This was a beta read for me and I loved it so much. I just wanted to wrap Morgan in a hug and punch sylvan in the face most of the book. But it all ends in an hea. I really enjoyed the plot and building up the world, I definitely want to see more. As always Clio writes the best spice 🥵
