Returning to Sycamore Falls with Tracy was a safe bet. This time with Claire and Declan in a Christmas romance with a significant age gap and a certain forbidden element.
Declan is everything that is right, a great man who still doesn't give himself what he deserves. Claire is the same, always settling for scraps, concerned about others. Both are a bit workaholic, with no time for a relationship.
One night in a hotel, where they meet, will change their lives, even though they believe they will never see each other again.
But that Christmas will bring many surprises.

Y qué mejor comienzo que esta historia que me ha dejado con una sonrisa y el corazón lleno de amor y con ganas de un señor Declan en mi vida. 😍
Declan (42 años) y Claire (24 años) se conocieron en el bar de un hotel. La atracción fue instantánea y deciden pasar una noche desenfrenada de sexo, total, no volverán a verse, jajajaja, pero el destino no estaba de acuerdo, así que se reencuentran después en una cena, donde Claire se entera que Declan es el padre de su mejor amigo Joshua, que también es su ex! 🥴
Deciden hacer como que esa noche nunca pasó, pero... No contaban con que la atracción y el amor (aunque al principio los dos negaban que se estaban enamorando) fuera más fuerte.
Declan y Claire vienen arrastrando traumas de sus pasados que los hacen tener dudas y sentirse inseguros con respecto al amor.
La historia tiene sus momentos de risa, de escenas picantes 🌶️ 🥵, pero también tiene su desarrollo con respecto a lo que vivieron en el pasado y a los traumas que vienen arrastrando y que al final logran superar para tener un final feliz.
Solo me queda decirles que lean toda la serie, les va a gustar.
Pero definitivamente este es mi favorito 😍

After reading The One Night Stand Before Christmas I am so ready to start decorating for Christmas. I am ready to start celebrating family, hope and love. I am ready to find Sycamore Falls and enjoy the holiday, fall in love and find a happily ever after. Thankfully I can shadow Claire and get all I wish for and more.
Claire is in Boston for a convention. Parker, her boss, has insisted she close the computer, go to the bar, drink someone and find a good time. When a man comes to her rescue, Parker's prayers have been answered. How could Claire refuse a night of fun. Oh. My. Word. Fun isn't a good enough word. Her time with Declan in instense. Her Time with Declan is so freaking hot. Her time with Declan ends to soon as the both fly home to opposite sides of the continent never to meet again.
It really is a small world. Claire' friend, Joshua, has been searching for his father. He can't wait for Claire to meet him at dinner. Get ready for a mind blowing moment. Life becomes awkward as Claire sits across from Declan.
The story becomes intense very quickly. The chemistry they have cannot be denied, but can they act on it? The pull is magical. Reading about a 42 year old male wanting to hide a relationship with a 24 year old female had me wondering who the mature person was. I thought he just had to deal with his past. I hoped she could deal with her past. They need a future, but he won't allow it. No matter how many chance meetings they have, it doesn't seem to be enough. Everything about Declan and Claire’s story is masterfully designed to captivate and consume you. This book is EPICALLY OUTSTANDING!
Hands down one of my all-time favourite holiday romances.
From their very encounter at the bar, Declan and Claire’s chemistry is undeniable and scorching hot.
Their one night stand turns into something neither of them could’ve anticipated.
When Declan comes to Sycamore Falls to meet the son he never knew , he never thought Claire would be in the same town and part of his son’s life.
He hasn’t been able to get over their one night together and now she’s absolutely forbidden to him.
Going to meet Joshua’s father to support him,
Claire would never had guessed that man would be the one she couldn’t forget.
The sexual tension, the deep emotional connection and the all-consuming desire between Declan and Claire is pulse-pounding and highly gripping.
Giving into their intense need for one another definitely had us fully invested and delightfully entertained.

“The One Night Stand Before Christmas” is the 5th book in the Sycamore Falls series.
This book is just another gem in these holiday-themed stories. You can count on getting a visit from some of the other characters in the other books too! (This book is a standalone and you don’t have to read the other ones, but I highly recommend doing so if you love Christmas stories!) Because these books all take place in the small, quaint little town of Sycamore Falls, where everyone knows everything about everyone, there’s a comfort in revisiting this town and these people.
Claire works in marketing for Holley Ridge, which is a beautiful Inn, wedding venue and the Hub for all of the town’s Christmas festivities. She’s attending a conference in Boston for work but due to the snowy weather conditions, she’s forced to stay over another night. She feels guilty not staying in her room & working, but after talking with her boss on the phone, she decides to take a break and grab a drink at the hotel bar. What she wasn’t expecting was meeting a slightly older man (Declan) who completely takes her breath away. They start talking, connecting, and before you know it, he’s staying overnight in her room. What could it hurt? They’re both consenting adults & it’s only one night. What could go wrong?
Well, that’s the real question, as something really shocking is uncovered that neither Claire nor Declan could have ever expected. The why & how Declan just happens to show up in Sycamore Falls so soon after his & Claire’s one night in Boston is the heart of this story.

Really enjoyed this one! Some cheesy, repetitive parts but such is a cozy Christmas romance … could’ve done without the last chapter and just ended with the New Years scene. (Which played out like a movie 10/10) I found myself rooting for Claire and excited to continue reading which I haven’t had in a while!

Claire and Declan were perfect for one another. Both have past issues that hold them back from what they truly want. Then there is the whole, ex-boyfriend's father thing as well....but it was a perfect holiday read, the attraction and desires between the couple were hot and spicy, loved this read.

This book was better than I expected. The writing was fantastic. The characters had a depth you don’t often see in romantasy novels. The author allows the characters to develop emotionally one their own, as well as together. This was definitely a forbidden romance. They never expected to see each other again. Keeping their one night stand from her best friend, his son was nearly impossible. But the attraction and longing they felt for one another was to string to resist. Throw in the magic of Christmas and living next door to each other, their situation was a lost cause. I can’t wait to read more for this author. This book is highly recommended.

I was hooked with the title alone!
Then I read the blurb and goodness, I devoured this story.
This is book 5 in the Sycamore falls series and while it can certainly be read and enjoyed as a standalone, there are interconnecting characters so reading the prior books gives you a better understanding of this unique small town.
It’s a delightfully delicious age gap read, with the small town trappings of Sycamore falls series which has been one of my favorite small town series, only this installment has a unique twist which gave the story more depth and made it more interesting.
This is Claire and Declan’s story.
They have a chance encounter while being stranded in the same hotel in Boston during a snow storm. Claire planned to stay in her room and continue working on a campaign for her job. But her boss and friend Parker has other plans for Claire… “Go to the hotel bar. Order a drink. Flirt with a stranger. Live a little.” “Have some fun. Step out of your comfort zone for once. That’s a direct order.”
And Claire did just that!!
Meeting Declan came about when he rescued her from an uncomfortable situation. Oh he is sexy and broody with a confidence that made him yummy and easy conversation, made it easier to have some fun. The fact the he’s older is not an issue but he’s fun and he made her feel unlike anyone had before…besides she’s following her boss’s order…
Declan is smitten and he can’t get her out of his mind.
What harm could come of it?
Well, imagine Claire’s surprise when she returns to Sycamore Falls and in a way you’ll have to read to find out, she meets up with yummy Declan again, and she discovers Declan is her ex’s father!
Told in dual POV, these characters were irresistible. I fell in love with them since chapter 1. The steamy chemistry, the push and pull, the secret looks and secret meetings!
Oh what will the small town gossip mill say if they find out about Declan and Claire!
Is this simply a hookup or something else?
Can they have something else?
This author never disappoints with her unique stories that add an unsuspecting twist that makes the story truly amazing!

Claire and Declan . . .
With everyone trying to catch an early flight home, Claire Thomas is stuck overnight in Boston due to the snowy weather, so she heads to the bar for a drink, following her boss' orders to buy a drink, find a handsome stranger, and go have fun! Unfortunately, a guy sits close to her and begins to flirt. She had noticed him earlier with a group of guys all bragging about conferences being "a prime hunting ground" to pick up women. The man touched her knee, and she felt the indentation where his wedding band would be. He refused to go away, telling her to ditch whoever she is waiting for and he will make her glad she did. Then a man's voice confronted the jerk, telling him the lady said no. His confident voice and fit body was enough to warn the jerk he wasn't kidding. And he made the man apologize to the lady! Offering her a fresh drink, he asks to join her and she agrees. She is excellent at reading people and asked him what he is trying to forget. But he didn't want to talk about it, as he just discovered he has a grown up son he never knew about, probably around this young woman's age. And yet he already feels calmer as she interacts with him and they chat about everything Claire could think of. Then he walks her to her room... tries to walk away... but it's only one night and neither of them want to spend it alone.

Tracy Leigh has done it again! This book is deliciously messy, festive, and downright addictive. I’m already a huge fan of her storytelling, but this one? It’s the perfect blend of holiday charm, small-town chaos, forbidden heat, and that swoony emotional pull she does so well.
From the very first chapter, I knew I was in trouble. A snowstorm. A sizzling one-night stand. A man with a voice like whiskey and a presence that practically melts the page. And then…the reveal. When I saw that this book had the age gap, forbidden romance tropes going for it, I RAN FOR IT!
The book starts with Claire, stuck in Boston due to a snow storm. The last person she expects to meet at the hotel bar is Declan - a charming older man who comes to defend her when she is practically harassed by another man. Their chemistry is magnetic hot and they they end up spending an unforgettable night together.
What was supposed to be a night of no strings attached, has left Claire thinking of Declan. It's been weeks since that night... But what would she do if given the chance to see him again? Would she throw caution to the wind or would she let him go? Especially when she finds out that her best friends dad who's rocked up to Holley Ridge to spend time with him is the one and only Declan 😱
The yearning in this book between the two characters was 🤌🏻 wanting to do right by Joshua and not rock the boat was what both Claire and Declan agreed on, but did fate listen? Their connection was more intense than ever and despite trying to forget about one another, it just made the yearning so much stronger. They were just simply meant to be!
Both Claire and Declan have history which holds them back from giving into each other fully. Whilst Declan doesn't think he deserves love, Claire is scared of people who she loves leave her, hence afraid of asking for more. This book is a huge age gap, kind of taboo relationship. I am not a fan of age gaps especially 18 years. Also, the MMC happens to be her ex's father! It's just too much for me. Too awkward for me.
The characters spend way too much time thinking about the other person. Pages of thoughts. When they are together they are having intimate scenes that last through several chapters.
While I love this author, I had a very difficult time getting through this book. In my mind, the characters never fit together. He's an 40-something man chasing after a barely out of college woman. They had intimate relations but rarely talked about themselves or their daily lives. How can you fall in love with someone you don't know? The FMC talked to her friends, including her ex/the MMC's son.
I can't say that the book was bad just because I didn't care for it as authors pour out their souls into their books. They deserve more than one star so I am giving it three stars. The book is still well written and has a HEA for the two MCs. If you like age gaps then you will probably love this story. Give it a try.

Once again Tracy Leigh brings a light hearted romance for all of us to fall in love with. You meet Claire who is a workaholic who is stuck in Boston when a snow storm cancels her flight. She is determined to go back to her room and work until her boss tells her no. She tells her to go to the bar, have a drink and have some fun. Reluctantly she does and her whole life is changed. A good looking stranger comes to her rescue. There is something about him that just intrigues her. He walks her back to her room and she decides she is going to take her bosses advice and live a little. Declan and her have a night to remember and when she finds his number the next morning, she wonder if she should call him or just remember the wonderful night they had. She can't stop thinking about him but what happens when you best friend asks you to go to dinner and the man you can't stop thinking about is there. Declan meets Claire in the hotel bar when his flight is also cancelled due to the storm. He just got some shocking news and goes to the bar to try and sort out his feelings on the news. He see this beautiful woman there and he can't help but step in. They have a wonderful night together but he is in no position to offer her anything and feels she deserves so much better than him. After all she is his new found son's best friend and ex and feels he needs to focus on his new relationship with his son. Clair and Declan are finding it hard to keep their feeling buried and when their chemistry finally combusts the two can't stop themselves. When push comes to shove will Declan fight for Claire or will he let her go for the sake of his son? This book will have you rooting for these two to the very end.

So let’s return to Sycamore Falls for the holiday season. Of course when the story is penned by Tracy Leigh, you know there will be way more than just a visit. Thus The One Night Stand Before Christmas arrives. If you check the description page for this story you get an idea of what to expect. Again…Tracy Leigh…anything is possible…and probable.
That one night stand they were talking about, it sort of took a path all of its own, and definitely not in a direction you might suspect. Claire may be young, but the woman carries an old soul. Declan may be closed off from the world, but we all know, the right motivation can open the tightest vice.
Oddly, this story did not come without conflicts. Some people may not find the story dynamics to their likings. Others will recognize the true breath in the full picture. And in the end, Tracy definitely does a great job of showing the maturity that can be found when people recognize what is in front of their eyes.

This story is packed with so many of my favorite tropes! I love a good age gap romance, and this one is set during my favorite holiday season in a small town I’d adore living in. Throw in the forbidden trope of falling for your ex's father, and it’s the perfect recipe for a spicy romance!
Tracy does an amazing job of capturing the instant chemistry between Claire and Declan. He was absolutely irresistible, and I loved how he gave Claire exactly what she needed to let go and explore a side of herself she hadn’t with anyone else.
Stories with a forbidden element always excite me as I anticipate how it’ll unravel for the characters. Will they get caught, and how? Will their sneaking around and secret glances be noticed? And in a tiny town like Sycamore Falls, where gossip spreads fast, it’s even more thrilling! This time, I really appreciated how Tracy handled it. I won’t spoil it—you’ll have to read it for yourself!

I voluntarily read and reviewed and ARC of this book. This is the 5th book in the Sycamore Falls series. Each book in this series can be read as a standalone.
