I’m struggling to get into the holiday spirit. Winter is normally my favorite season, but something isn’t clicking this year. With my mom and her new husbands away for the holidays, I’m all on my own. Well, I could seek out Wilder, the annoyingly hot stepbrother I gained when my mom got married, but that’s a last resort kind of option.
My job at the scent clinic keeps me busy enough, anyway.
Feral alphas need contact with omega pheromones to prevent the decay from progressing to the point they go rabid, and I love being able to help. I spend my shifts snuggling with alphas society considers dangerous, but most of them are giant softies once I get to know them. Or that’s what I believe right up until a chance interaction after a trip to the Christmas market proves there’s more to the men in my life than I ever realized.
Now I’m tangled up in mafia family politics and reconsidering how nice drinking hot cocoa, wearing holiday-themed pajamas, and binge watching Christmas movies would be.
What can you expect to find?
A sweet FMC who is in over her head, and three morally gray mafia men who will do anything it takes to keep her safe.
Bonded by Christmas is a standalone that opens up a new world. Each book will feature a new FMC and her complete romance with no cliffhanger! No past character crossovers from any of my other books, so if you’re looking for a place to dive into my universe, this is the perfect starting point. No cheating, no OW drama, and the men always fall first.
SASSY, COZY AND HOMICIDAL!!!! SUCH AN AMAZING COMBO TO START A NEW WORLD!
I can't believe Jillian West just now has a Mafia Romance BUT IT'S SOOO WORTH THE WAIT!!!
I love that no matter how rabid they get THEY ARE ALWAYS SOFT TO THEIR OMEGA!! AAKKHH JUST SOO FUCKING CUTE!!! 😍😍🥵🥵
This book is such an amazing introduction to this new world!! I'm already hooked on this series and i can't wait to see where the other stories will go!!
It has the fluffy cuddling and caring aspect, the romantic stalking and falling head over heels obsessed, the funny bromance and let's not forget the homicidal tendency we so adore 🤣 AND WITH THE TABOO TWIST!!! AAKKH CHEFS KISS!! 🤌🤌❤️🔥❤️🔥
how does Jillian West create a universe that gets me hooked and i love so much???
this was such a great first book in a new Jillian West series. you have our omega fmc, Lacey, who works at a pheromone clinic to help feral alphas and is gearing up for her first Christmas alone since her mother is going away with her stepfathers for the holiday. she could call her step-brother, Wilder, but she’s still embarrassed about her reaction to him the first time they met when their parents were getting married. and little does she know that she wasn’t the only one affected by their meet cute and Wilder has had a plan in place the last 3 years that’s about to come to fruition.
along with Wilder, we have our almost feral alpha, Grim, who has been getting pheromone treatments from Lacey at work. and Lacey’s neighbor, Callum, who loves to come over and snuggle her on the couch. and maybe… all three might be connected in a way she didn’t realize.
ugh this book had so much goodness with Lacey calling Grim and Callum “Daddy”. and all the caregiver vibes between them all. you also have Wilder calling Lacey “little sister” during spicy scenes 🥵
and Lacey is obsessed with them just as much as they are all obsessed with her. add in this is set during Christmastime and has little different Christmas elements, the perfect holiday read ❄️🤍
this book introduced so many different families and side characters that i can’t wait to hear what happens to them all. i also really like this introduction of the pheromone clinics and feral alphas. i hope this is a continuing thread through this series.
“She could ask for a panda, and I’d have to find a way to rob a zoo and learn how to build a habitat enclosure in the backyard. Fuck. Here’s hoping she never asks for a panda.”
This is the cutest mafia romance I think I have ever read, and I am here for it. Lacey (FMC) is just trying to live her life, working at a pheromone clinic where she helps feral alphas who are on the brink of going rabid. She knows all three of the men who become her alphas (Grim, Callum and Wilder) from different parts of her life, but has no idea that they know each other and are close to a pack as they could be without an omega. Grim is one of her clients at the clinic, Callum is her neighbor (or so she believes), and Wilder is her stepbrother whom she met three years ago when her mother married his dads.
This is a character driven story, and the organized crime aspect just adds a little bit of action in the background. Grim has been following Lacey (without her knowledge), but when she is attacked he is there to save her and that is where the romance really takes off. The men make each other crazy (they are best friends but they are also possessive and want Lacey to themselves) but they will do anything if it will make her happy, she becomes the center of their pack very quickly and seamlessly. If “Daddy” isn’t your thing, this won’t be the book for you, as it is a dynamic that Lacey has with two of her alphas. This book has all of the omegaverse tropes you could want (scent matches, knots, heat, bonding, etc) and no breakup, cheating, choosing, or other woman drama. There is very little drama within the pack.
If you are looking for a low angst, low drama, very spicy omegaverse with a side of Christmas cheer, I highly recommend this one. If you are new to this author’s books this could be a good one to start with because it is a completely new series that doesn’t have any character crossover from previous books. I am so excited for book two in this series after the introduction to the main characters that we got in this story!
*I am so grateful to be a member of Jillian West’s ARC team! Thank you so much to Jillian and her team for the opportunity to ARC read this book! All opinions are my own*
Bonded by Christmas is the latest release from OV author Jillian West and my new favorite Christmas book obsession. It’s Diehard meets Hallmark movie channel and I loved every second of it. What made this Jillian West book unique is the introduction of the Tasty Treat scent clinic and can’t wait for her to explore more into this world. It reminded me of the first time we met the Omega Exchange and I’m so here for it.
I loved everything about the FMC Lacey (she’s the perfect omega) and the MMC’s were absolutely delicious, I don’t think I could pick just one. What I really enjoyed about this book is the ACTION (yes!!!) and the relationship building between Lacey, Grim, Callum & Wilder. I do wish this was a lengthier book, because I wasn’t yet ready to let these characters go. I cannot wait for the next one in the series.
Please be sure to read the Author’s Note, as this is a mafia meets OV cute. Also, there is a stepbrother in the pack along with call me Daddy vibes, which might not be for everyone. If you’re looking for a new OV book to get you into the holiday spirit, check out Bonded by Christmas.
I'm tagging this mafia, because that's how it frames itself, but it is absolutely not like any mafia romance I've read (generally, I avoid them because non-con is not my thing at all, and the misogyny that seems to be a hallmark of that world is gross to me). This is super low angst, low stakes, smutty smut book.
It's a sweet omegaverse, where our FMC Lacey has a stepbrother who has had a thing for her since they met a couple years ago. And let me underscore that part, because as someone with stepbrothers, a stepbrother romance has never been my kink, and in fact it sort of skeeves me out. These two met as adults - their parents connected after they were both adults. At the time, she was 18 and he was something like 23, so even though they were solid scent matches, he walked away. She felt rejected, because he fucking sucks at communication, but he intended to be with her once she was older and had some life experience. Their age difference isn't a big one when both are in their 20s or 30s, but at 18, it's a HUGE difference.
So generally, their hook up didn't push my skeeve buttons, though he called her little sister a few times, which I ignored with my whole being because it gave me the icks.
The other two are like his right and left hand in the mafia family. He runs the family, because his dads retired when they bonded Lacey's omega mom. And to be clear, they're not a typical mafia family. The setup is basically that decades ago, their family stepped out of the typical mafia business to instead serve as intermediary / mediator / neutral ground for the other Boston mafia families. So they don't do any mafia business - I assume that's gun running, drug running, pimping, etc - but rather handle business between families. Like, in this book they're negotiation a marriage contract between two of the families. I think that setup - while stretching the sense of disbelief a little bit - allows this generally safe author to give us some of the edge of danger while not skirting dubious lines.
Anyway, this was pretty much just a smut book with some window dressing. Lacey is happy to go along with whatever, and like, when she finds out her stepbrother has been watching her for years (since they met) and the two guys she knows - Grim and Callum - are actually guards her brother assigned to her that he hoped would be potential packmates, she neither bats an eye or asks questions. They leap right into bonding and that's that.
So if you're looking for something light and hot, give this a whirl. ***3.5***
Lacey, who works at a pheromone clinic helping feral alphas, suddenly finds herself at the center of a pack formed by three men she already knows aka Grim, Callum, and Wilder, without realizing they’ve been connected all along. The mafia elements stay mostly in the background, letting the story focus on relationships and the gentle chaos of possessive alphas who would do anything for their omega. I LOVED how naturally each relationship unfolds, with every bond developing at its own pace and rooted in care, protection and emotional safety. The dynamic includes Daddy Doms, exploration of shared kinks and deeply loyal men who’ve been quietly safeguarding Lacey for years like even coordinating her life behind the scenes. The result is an addictive, low angst read with spice, tenderness and just enough mafia action to keep things exciting. Sweet holidays for us omegaverse readers! 🥂
Too early for a Christmas read? I think not. If you have never read a Jillian West book this is a good place to start. New stand alone series, with all new characters. If you have read her before then this delivers on her signature formula. Spicy, omegaverse with obsessed and unhinged alphas who worship their omega.
Lacey is soft and sweet. She loves Christmas and works at a clinic where she snuggles with semi feral alphas all day long, her omega pheromones helping to bring them back from going rabid. Little does she know, there are three men in her life who all know each other and all consider her theirs. But with a less than savory lifestyle they want to ease her into it.
Grim might be one of my favorite Jillian men so far. I’m a sucker for the big, scary alpha but he was her safe space. Literally pounds three men from existence when they hurt her but also washes her hair and buys her kittens. Callum was the bad boy, loose cannon. Wilder, her step brother, they met when they were older so it’s not weird. (What was weird was his nickname for her, little sister, no thank you!) In true Jillian West fashion they are completely obsessed. I liked in this one we get a bit of jealousy in the group, a lot of thoughts of strangling each other if the others were getting more attention. They also did a terrible job of keeping their distance, their plan to ease her into their lifestyle went horribly.
It’s all very low angst and besides a few scenes involving unsavory characters from their criminal lifestyle pretty low stakes. Which I have come to expect from Jillian books but there isn’t really any character growth either. No one is working through any trauma or insecurities. No real obstacles to their relationship besides her not knowing they were interested and that they knew each other, but that is resolved quickly and without any fuss. I hate to say it but I found it a tad boring. If you just want spice and cozy Christmas cuddles this is the book for you, but I wanted a tad more.
**** also this does not reflect in my star rating because I think if you like this it was done well, just not my bag, but the kink didn’t work for me. Grim and Callum want Lacey to be totally submissive to them. Not just in the bedroom but all the time. They want to brush her teeth, wax her, shave her, help her pee. Multiple times she sucks on their fingers to soothe herself. Jillian is a consent queen so none of this was done in a way that robbed Lacey of her autonomy completely, she was completely on board, I just didn’t care for it. But you go girl.
I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This story had so many great elements: romantic stalking, dominant Daddy alphas, an accidental bonding, and a touch of forbidden (adult step siblings). All of the Alphas were great, but Grim stole my heart. He's a big, grumpy Alpha that will do anything for Lacey. I loved the scent clinic setup. It's like the inverse of a heat clinic and I could see a lot of fun stories coming from those circumstances. If you want Christmas without getting CHRISTMAS, this is for you. There were enough holiday vibes to make this a sweet Christmas romance, but not so much it feels like you're reading an uber idealized and over-the-top Christmas extravaganza story. The pacing and relationship development were great, and the spice was perfect.
ARC Review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ God gave omegas three holes, and I have three alphas at the ready… So basically, for once in my life, the math matches.
I love the accidentally-on-purpose-bonding microtrope! A very easy read, it's completely binge-worthy.
The MMCs are all-in from the get-go. Even if they are a bit on the psycho side, they are psycho for their Omega. Their world might be dark, but they are sweet for their woman.
Holiday adjacent without being too heavy, this is a great anytime read, but even better in the christmas season.
Fast burn and very spicy with all the OV goodies! This book ends in a HEA and can be read as a complete standalone.
“Darling, you’re so bossy, you even made me your sex toy in your sleep.” 🥵🥵🥵
Just sit back and relax, and enjoy the ride with one adorable omega and three growly, dangerous, obsessed men crafted by the incredible Jillian West. She writes it, I will devour it!
What sets this story apart for me is the incredible Daddy Care! We have Double Daddy fun with lots of lap-sitting, hand-feeding, and care-taking! I adored getting to read the inner thoughts of these MMCs who just wanted so deeply to show their care and affection through a controlled care-taker role. UGH it made me weak in the knees! And I really really loved that the FMC was all-in for it! Some days I need the woman who fights for independence and to stand on her own, and other days I just want the woman who soaks in the tub when Daddy tells her to 😏.
I also loved that this is a brand-new series!! This book introduces The Boston Syndicate, MAFIA MEN!! We love a mafia man!!!! I really love having a bit of a fresh start to get to know a whole new group of men!
There are so many things I love about this book, I feel like I could go on and on and on! A few of the other things that I am so glad to see here are feral/rabid alphas (and a treatment center? So cool!), soul-level scent matches, and men who are ALL IN. Jillian... you have done it again. I cannot wait for more of this world! I am so intrigued by the breadcrumbs you have left for the next books!
2.75 stars. This was not the book FOR ME, but I feel like others will like it just fine. It has a lot going for it. No pregnancy or breeding kink, a little taboo, no third act breakup, completely devoted MMCs, no OW or OM drama, technically morally grey MMCs (though we see little of it). It just didn't give enough of what it did give us. It brushed past a lot or just told stuff to us in order to continue with the story, and it felt incomplete as a result (while actually being very complete and having an HEA) by the end. I also didn't buy the setup for the Mafia families and the MMCs basically being a brokers between the families. It was odd. But that's just me. Regardless, these are the author's signature devoted and sweet MMCs and I loved seeing it.
Sigh. I love Jillian’s books but this was horrible. I slugged thru it to force myself to finish.
This review pains me to write bc like I said, I love this author’s work and her stories. She is flawless with her content warnings and does a great job of writing books to represent all kinks and prefs. So this one might not have been up my alley but I don’t take off stars for that shit.
The first half of this book was tell. Tell. Tell.
We lived inside the minds of these people a majority of the time. And it wasn’t fun. This is where I feel 3rd person POV would have helped this author. 1st person when you have so much to explain and tell just doesn’t work.
My rating comes from the quality of the story and its writing. It just wasn’t good. This was just hard to read.
I am also not a fan of brats or the entire brat/dom scene. I won’t judge. It’s not my place. The dynamic annoys me. So I don’t want to read about it. Again. I did NOT take stars off for that as it’s a pref of mine. But I didn’t even feel like it was readable.

I loved everything about this pack dynamic. I loved that Cal and Grim were similar as far as their /interests/ go but so different in every other way. I loved Lacey's connection with Grim the most and I truly loved all of them but he was my favorite. Nothing beats a feral but gentle giant for the person he loves.
Probably one of Jillian West's most low stress reads to date? Making it the perfect addition to a holiday tbr. I do wish it had just a few more christmas elements but I'm not complaining because I ate it up.
I will say some aspects of this won't be for everyone! But if you're already in the trenches of the omegaverse you're probably fine.
Bonded by Christmas was a decent read. It’s an Omegaverse with an Omega and three Alphas (no MM). If you read my reviews you know I prefer no sword crossing if a heroine is involved. She always gets sidelined 😂😂.
Lacey works at a clinic assisting Alphas that haven’t found their mate(s) and keeping them from going feral until they find their scent or soul matches. One Alpha she helps, Grim, is her favorite and he is on the verge of feral. However, she grounds him and it’s clear they are a scent match.
Callum, her neighbor, is another Alpha she feels an irresistible pull towards and her stepbrother Wilder who she hasn’t seen in a while is the cherry on top in terms of connection.
Little does Lacey know that Wilder has had a plan in place for years for him, Grim and Callum to claim what’s always belonged to them.
The first half of this story was great. I loved the tension and heat and build up. Lacey was a strong yet soft character. Grim was growly and Callum was a bit unhinged. Wilder was dominant and confident.
Then when they finally put their plan in action for claiming Lacey, it fell flat. Lacey became obnoxiously dickmatized (yes, I’m aware this is an Omegaverse), Grim became less growly and more needy, Callum lost some of his unhingeness and Wilder felt less dominant and in control.
This had a little action, was spicy and cute but the story honestly lost me in the second half. Overall, a good holiday read but I felt a little disappointed by the end.
I loved this book 😍 it was such an easy read with adorable characters.
The plot was so cute and I love how much the guys wanted Lacey. I don’t think I could pick a favourite, Grim, Callum and Wilder were the perfect men for her.
I do wish we’d gotten a little more of the Dom side of Grim and Callum and more caretaking in that aspect but I still loved it.
It’s low angst, no third act breakup and pure fluffy goodness.
Lacey is a pheromones specialist help alpha not to get feral. When her client Grim saves her she realized how small the world is Grim is her step brother right hand man and so is her neighbor and all of them are a scent mate. This book was sweet, and I love both Grim and Callum are Daddy’s. This book has me excited for more in this universe
The characters were okay I don’t feel like I really got to know them it was very surface level for all of them fmc/mmc(s). This book touched on a Daddy Dom/baby girl (DD/bbg) dynamic, however I don’t think it was shown as well as it could have been. The terms were used a few times and when callum (one of the mmcs) was first introduced he touched on the daddy dom/baby girl stuff and grim also mentioned it at some point but I don’t believe it was properly represented in this story. You don’t see much of that dynamic at all. It felt like empty words just ‘trying something different’. I usually do like books from this author, and I did want to love this one, but it felt like there was a big disconnect.

West is trying to build a world too much in this book. She kept jumping to set up the next book, and took away from the current story. One at a time plz. Still a quick read.
Plot: 3.5/5 • Smut: 4/5 ————-> Lacey works at a pheromone clinic helping feral alphas. One of her regulars, Grim, is a potential scent match, but she doesn’t admit it. One day her step brother whom she hasn’t seen in three years come in for treatment too. She’s also scent matched to him, but they keep their distance.
One night she’s attacked by a group of feral alphas and Grim is there to save the day. Why? because Wilder, her step brother, has protective detail on her and it was Grims night. See, Grim, Wilder and Callum, her neighbor, but also protective detail, are all in a somewhat pack. Again, all scent matches.
The attack on Lacey is pretty much the only suspenseful thing that happens in this book. The rest of it is her trying to navigate never having a heat before and three new alphas taking care of her. Which she absolutely loves.
This ends on a HEA. All of them coming together living the life they always wanted. Cheesy, but cute. All based around Christmas. It is a holiday read, if you didn’t put that together from the damn title.
Deck her halls with three big alphas! Jillian did a great job with this Christmas/mafia themed book. Yes, you may be thinking Christmas and Mafia? Oh yes and don’t forget to sprinkle in a little step sibling spice. This book centers around Lacey an omega still waiting to have her first heat, works at a pheromone clinic where she helps alphas on the verge of turning feral. Her favorite client, Grim, is a giant of an alpha who is obsessed with Lacey and is only a few months left before going feral for good. After a nice night with Grim at the clinic, Lacey heads home and meets up with her alpha neighbor, Callum, who is slowly becoming a needed sight after work. After an incident leave Lacey terrified, she realizes that her feral alpha and neighbor may not have been placed into her life by accident but actually sent by her stepbrother Wilder. Little does Lacey know that Wilder is actually a negotiator for the Boston mafia families Ang might be the reason Lacey was attacked. Things move fast after the incident and it’s sweet enough to produce cavities. I can’t wait to read the rest of this new series!!

Bonded By Christmas: 3.5 ★ | Finished with skim reading | Easy to follow writing style | Loveable characters | Passable plot | Intriguing premise | Enjoyable reading experience
There were only a few things in this book that really impressed me, like the cozy Christmas vibe and the whole pheromone clinic concept. The rest felt pretty predictable since I’m already familiar with Jillian’s writing patterns.
And by the way, even though Wilder and Lacey are step siblings, him calling her little sister still feels a bit weird, you know…
This was probably my favorite book I’ve read by this author! I loved the cozy holiday vibes and the fact that the mc’s were all kid-free by choice. This book was a fantastic start to a new series. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

I love books by this author and the fact that there is a planned second in the series thrills me. Jillian West writes the best unhinged alphas. I have to chuckle sometimes because I never knew my morals were so grey!
Jillian West can do no wrong! I loved this story. There is something so fun about a criminal pack with a sweet omega. Add in that they will do *anything* for her, even if that means adopt kittens… Swooooon. Enjoy all the praise!
The ultimate bingeworthy smutty goodness. 😍 Honestly, I read this in a day I was so obsessed. And that's nothing compared to how obsessed these guys are for Lacey. They are so gone for her. 😍
I will be honest and say I wanted some more drama, some more push and pull maybe more related to the Mafia? really my only critique, otherwise this is exactly as advertised.
