A short supernatural story to feed your need for monsters
Overall I'd rate this short one a 4.5 out of 5 stars. It's short and sweet, so if you're looking for a quick read, definitely consider this one especially if you're into paranormal/horror/suspense/romance.
I enjoyed reading the story which I would classify as a paranormal romance as there seems to be some romantic tension and possibility throughout. There are several points of view from different characters which build tension as the story progresses. The characters develop fairly well over the course of the story, considering it is rather short in length (56 pages for the pdf version). The world begins to develop but is cut a bit short as the focus shifts to the climax of the story. The plot is a bit unique as it features a succubus and her brother who is a ghoul. There are some graphic descriptions of death and other elements that might be disturbing to more sensitive readers but overall is tactfully written.
There is a cliffhanger. I'm hoping the author will write a sequel as I'd love to see what comes next.
