Wanting is a hard-to-control desire. Especially when the one you want is always there. Every friendly gathering, all the daily functions…he is there.
But acting on those desires almost broke me last time. I made a promise to myself. This time, I would be strong. This time, I would refrain. My heart couldn’t take another rejection.
I am my own worst enemy. I am the first person to criticize myself, the first person to find the bad in the smallest situations.
But he manages to chip away at me, finding the smallest crack. And in the middle of the darkest of times, even though I do my best to fight it, he pulls me back.
But giving in, letting myself fall again, may be the worst mistake I make. This time, it just might destroy me.
This is the second book in this amazing series, and this is Lexi and Bennett’s story. Bennett has made some questionable decisions in the past, but he is determined to pursue Lexi. Lexi is a social worker who wants to foster a little 6-year-old Camryn, and Bennett who is building his own house, wants them both to move in with him, but can he redeem himself? This is a well written easy to read story, with family, friendships, emotions, tension, drama, challenges, friends / lovers, determination, making choices, redemption, second chances, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, small-town romance. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Falling For Him - Hudson Boys Book # 2 - Lexi and Bennett . Oh My Gosh Guys !!! There are no words just no perfect words that could even accurately express how in love with these two I fell . Something about Lexi and Bennett together was just perfection absolute perfection. Sure their story was anything but an easy one - because you can bet they had some pretty emotional obstacles they had to overcome. And sure their chemistry was so freaking hot 🔥, you could literally feel the sparks coming right off the pages . But it was so much more than that . There are just some books and duets out there that touch your heart in ways you’re definitely not expecting. That genuinely resonate with you for so many reasons . This book and this duet was without a doubt one of those . Smiling, laughing, crying, yelling and cheering!!! I did it all and so much more . Witnessing The growth of Bennetts character , especially how badly he messed up with Lexi in the first book , so beautiful and emotional to witness . How determined he was to finally show her his true feelings and that she is worthy of that type of love - oh man how I was swooning . Their story really is everything a great love story should be . It’s not always easy and perfect , but with work , in the end they finally got their happy ending
Lexi and Bennett were a ride. This is really a 4.5 star book.
These two had feelings all along but had a journey to come back together.
Bennett had made some poor choices in the past. Ones that directly affected Lexi. Lexi had some strong reactions and now is gun shy. She’s worried about living and loving again.
These two fight for it. They fight for each other and the relationship they want. It does take some work. Getting to see these two come back together and build something stronger is so fun and beautiful.
Bennett knows he messed up and makes things right. He loves Lexi in all the ways she needs. She in turn realizes what she has with Bennett and loves him back.
They fight and love hard. This one didn’t have as much drama and I loved that the little bit of extra from book one set this one up perfectly. These two were so cute.
I love that all of these couples are friends and I can’t wait to see where we go next.
Falling for him is the second book in CA Harms’ Hudson Boys series and it’s a really good one. Bennett is a good guy, a great one even-but he’s not been cautious enough with the hearts of those around him. He had some growing up to do and we got to sit back and watch that happen. Now he knows and he’s ready but he may have destroyed his chance at the love and happiness he so desperately wants. Lexi has loved him forever, even when she wasn’t the one he wanted. She’s walked in those shoes and walked even further to where her whole world came crashing down. Now she’s put up walls as she tries to get back to the girl she once was. She’s not sure she has it in her to ever open herself up to hurt and pain again. This is their story. The ups and downs, the longing and cravings, the hurts and pains, the happiness and the sorrow. It’s worth every page turned. I highly recommend this series and their story. I cannot wait to see what happens next in the Hudson Boys series!
This is the 2nd book in this series and I'm glad I read this straight after book #1 Falling for Him as I am totally invested in these Hudson boys!
This one features Bennett and Lexi. Bennett was probably my favourite! I loved watching him grow and show how he wants Lexi he just needs to show her he's worthy and changed! I also adored Lexi, she is a social worker who has taken a shine to 6 year old Camryn and wants to Foster her, and the fact that Bennett embraces this too.......swoon!!
CA Harms has a brilliant way of writing her characters that are full of life, filled with emotion and drama, mixed with redemption, seriously hot chemistry and that swoon worthy, in love feeling.
I cannot wait to see what this talented author brings us next
I was gifted a copy of this book by the Author and this is my honest opinion
The Hudson Boys are back, and we have another chance to fall in love with the again in “Falling for Him”. Bennett is trying to win Lexi’s heart in this story, and I am all for it. Lexi had been loving Bennett from afar and he just never noticed her until now. They take us on their journey of love in this second chance romance. I like how Bennett is charming, handsome and willing to fight for what he wants. Lexi is sweet, kind and has a beautiful heart. Throughout their story the chemistry between them gets hotter with every scene. This is a good story about finding your second chance at love and fighting for it with all you have. The friend and family group they have makes the story even better because they are always around with their advice and antics. I cannot wait to read the rest of the series if they are sexy and sweet like “Falling for Him”.
If you read Loving Him, then you already know Bennett, and you probably fell in love with him in book one. Bennett is the goofball, but also the one who has his group of ladies' backs no matter what. But he made one grave mistake, and now he's fighting to make it right. Lexi, I can't say enough about her beautiful and strong soul. She has passion and desire, and she has gone through so much. She has always been in love with Bennett, but never acted on it. Until one night, the rejection stung. A series of events led them to each other, but it will take Bennett fighting her walls and demons to get her to concede. Lexi knows that Bennett is a good man, but can she let him have her heart again? I loved reading about the fight and survival of these two. I also love the side characters who are always there to make sure these two have what it takes to make it work. But things start to get in the way, and well, Bennett's about to show fate who's boss. Can he win the girl?
It was safe and sweet. I'm assuming everyone reading this read the 1st book and are aware the MFC was physically hurt by her ex.
She's dealing with some trauma from what happened with her ex and as far as is told in the book she's not in therapy then she impulsively decides to foster a little girl she is Social worker for. You have to suspend belief. And the ending came so suddenly I had to go back a page thinking "that's it?".
But other than that, it was a sweet book. I was worried she was going to be a martyr and I actually put it down and read another book before going back to it. In the end it was sweet and I enjoyed it.
I just started Adley & Rory and honestly from the last book I don't like either of them. I'm going to give it a chance but if she's this unlikable at the 1/4 part I'm going to dnf. I don't really care what her reasons are for the way she behaves.
Really enjoyed this book. What I liked the most is that there wasn’t any real unnecessary drama between Lexi and Bennett. I think most of that came about in book one, and their own story was a continuation from there. Bennett knew he had messed up big with Lexi, and reading him make that right and more importantly showing her what she meant to him melted my heart. Lexi was gun shy, and deservedly so, but when they finally get to that place of actually being a couple it was well worth all the insecurities Lexi was originally feeling because what they have with each other is truly special. The supporting characters all added to this wonderful story, and I look forward to reading all their books in the future.
✨Tropes✨ 🏠Small Town 🩷Second Chance 🩷Friends to Lovers 🌶️🌶️⭐⭐⭐⭐ "You are my weakness sweetheart,"
*Bennett made some decisions in book one that backfired and Lexi was affected by that. I would read book one, Loving Him More, first.
I was cheering for this couple. Due to Bennett being a selfish 🍑 before Lexi was pretty gun shy about loving him. She definitely had her reasons so Bennett had a lot to make up. The chemistry was there with them but sometimes that's not enough and you have to fight. These two are soulmates. I loved the supporting characters in this one as well and can't wait for the next one.
Oh my goodness! Bennett and Lexi's story was so good! He is such a sweet, caring man that made some questionable choices in the past but is determined to prove to Lexi that she is it for him. I knew that I was going to fall in love with their story and I was not disappointed at all. I wasn't expecting the adorable Camryn though. That little girl had them all wrapped around her little finger in no time. Loads of love in this story its low drama and plenty of steam. I am loving this series so much and can't wait for Rory and Adley's story next.
Bennett has a lot of making up to do with Lexi as he has hurt her before. Lexi is a social worker and she develops a strong connection to one of the children she is working with, Camryn. So much so that she does everything she needs to do to be able to foster her. Bennett pursues Lexi and persuades her to date him. At the same time he is building his own house and making it a home that he hopes he will be able to convince Lexi and Camryn to move into with him in time. This is a very heart-warming and emotional read.
I fell hard for Falling For Him by CA Harms. I was so torn with liking Bennett and being irritated with him when we were introduced to him in Loving Him More (Hudson Boys #1). Lexi was hurt by him, not intentionally, but due to him not wanting to hurt her and he almost destroyed her. Their story was one I couldn’t put down watching Bennett grow up and truly prove he’s a man worthy and has true and deep feelings for Lexi. She doesn’t make it easy, but their story is wonderful and includes a precious girl who needs them both.
After the finishing the first book, I was really looking forward to Bennet and Lexi's story in Falling for Him. There was a great build up of their story in the first book and I just knew it was going to be good. This book did not disappoint. I just loved how Bennet slowly won Lexi over and got her forgiveness. I was also so happy that they both finally admitted that they were perfect for each other. Little Camryn was adorable and I loved the relationship that she and Bennet formed. This was the perfect way to tell this couple's story and I highly recommend it.
This is book #2 of The Hudson Boys series. Holy hotness this book is absolutely fantastic and will definitely have you engrossed from the beginning until the end. Bennett and his older BrotherBrandt fought over the same girl ,but in the end the right man won because Bennett realized a little to late his soulmate was right in front of him the whole time ,but now can he win over Lexi trust and heart? I throughly enjoyed this book and couldn't put it down. its compelling and captivating and tantalizing and so much more. I cant wait for more of these boys.
Lexi and Bennett's story begins at the end of book one. Bennett allows a single word 'mistake' to move the whole shift of his relationship with Lexi. She takes this one word and decides she needs to move on and let her feelings for Bennett go. This leads to a disaster and Lexi's life is changed. Lexi grows so much in this story and I loved watching her blossom. She finds herself and allows Bennett to heal her heart. Their story takes a while to find the full open heart, but when it opens, so will your heart.
This book 2 in the series follows Bennett and Lexi’s story. Lexi has had to stand by and watch her best friend Sutton being loved and admired from afar by Bennett. She’s had to harbor her own crush silently until one night she lets her guard down only to be hurt in the process. With her shield up can Bennett get through to Lexi and show her his true feelings? I love their story and what they had to endure to show each other their feelings. Camryn was a nice bonus and I look forward to seeing her in future books.
Falling For Him is the second book in the Hudson Boys series by C. A. Harms. This one is Bennett and Lexi's story. I honestly wondered if Bennett could redeem himself (he was kind of selfish in the first book), and he came through with flying colors! I also loved Lexi. She was such an amazing person, and I loved the side story with 6 year old Camryn. I'm really looking forward to Rory and Adley's story next, but in the meantime, I would definitely recommend this one.
Falling For Him is Lexi and Bennet’s story. I was completely blown away with the emotional growth in Bennet throughout this book. He completely won me over. What makes this story extra special to me is the subject of fostering and making that special connection with someone who understands. This story has that same great attraction and tension you would expect from a C.A. Harms romance but with the added love of a little girl and the bonds she forms, it makes this book stand out.
Lexi & Bennett's story had me captivated from the very beginning. It was an emotional rollercoaster as Bennett fought to show Lexi just how much he had changed, that she was all he could see and Lexi opening up her heart and not been afraid to love him back. You can see both characters grow throughout this book especially with the addition of Camryn. A beautifully written friends to lovers romance that I can highly recommend.
This was a great addition to this series! Bennett knew that he has messed up with Lexi and has made it his mission to make things right. Lexi has put walls up and is determined to not let anyone hurt her again. I liked that he had to work hard to tear down the walls and prove that he can be reliable. Lexi made him work hard for her. I really enjoyed reading their journey to happiness.
From the first page to the last this story is full of family, friends, small town drama, and all the angst of overcoming your past to embrace your future. The depth and characters and emotions is truly in a class of its own. The handling of difficult topics was done with grace, style and compassion. This is possibly the best CA Harms book I've read.
The book is one of my favorite troupes… second chance. I really like to just sit back and see the one that screwed up in the past get his/her day of redemption. And Bennett got his redemption with Lexi. It’s such a great story I don’t want to give away anything …. So please read it !!! And Camryn just melted this mamma bears’ heart
I really enjoyed this second chance story. I felt so many emotions in this book, for both these characters. The chemistry was amazing and I could not put it down. Amazing writing that kept me engaged throughout.
Lexi and Bennett are returning with Bennett fully knowing that he has messed up with Lexi. You get taken on a ride where Bennett has to make up for his mistakes while Lexi is unsure if she is ready to take the risk and be vulnerable.
Lexi and Bennett had feelings for one another but had to come full circle to realize it. You meet these two in book 1 and some of Bennetts poor choices have hurt Lexi. True love at its best.
I couldn't put it down read it in a day and half. I definitely recommend everyone check out this series and this amazing author you won't be disappointed.
This was a great addition to this series. I loved Lexi and Bennett. But I do wish it was longer to read. I didn’t want the book to end. Loved Cam also.
