I can't endorse these ideas as things that will potentially reverse dementia; however, most of the ideas presented are generally good ideas for health. I didn't like the titles of some chapters, like "Get Off Your Medications" because it is misleading. The idea of using less medication when it's not needed is good, but imagine someone with schizophrenia or epilepsy or any number of other conditions deciding to just "get off" his or her medications. There are many cases where just getting off them is not a good idea. I can see some people seeing that chapter heading and just dropping their meds. Especially if they are forgetful and have dementia.

Most chapters cite some research. some research is better than other research. We can't really know how reliable or valid the research is without knowing more about how it was done. The way much of the research is mentioned, it sounds like correlations were found. Correlation is not causation. How many were correlations? How many found a casual relationship? Which studies had reliable and valid samples? Which ones had double-blind controlled methods applied? There are a lot of unanswered questions.

101 Brain-Boosting Hacks” by Dr. Clint Steele is one of those rare health books that feels both deeply practical and genuinely empowering. From the very first chapter, I felt like the author wasn’t just sharing information, he was handing me a toolkit for a sharper, healthier, more resilient brain.

What I love most is how simple and actionable every hack is. You don’t need special equipment or complicated routines. Each tip feels like something you can easily add to your everyday life, whether it’s a small habit shift, a food upgrade, a memory-training technique, or a lifestyle change backed by science.

The writing is warm, clear, and full of hope. Dr. Steele explains the science behind dementia prevention in a way that’s easy to understand, but never watered down. You can immediately feel his passion for helping people protect their minds, reverse cognitive decline, and take back control of their long-term brain health.

A few things that stood out for me:

🧠 Evidence-based insights presented in a friendly, human tone
💡 101 hacks that are surprisingly simple but incredibly effective
🥗 Lifestyle strategies that make you rethink how you eat, move, breathe, and rest
📝 Exercises that actually improve memory and focus
❤️ A strong message of prevention, empowerment, and possibility

This book is especially valuable for anyone who has seen a loved one struggle with dementia or Alzheimer’s. It offers not only practical solutions but also comfort, clarity, and real hope.

Overall, “101 Brain-Boosting Hacks” is a book I’m grateful to have discovered. It’s one of the most actionable, uplifting, and scientifically grounded guides on dementia prevention I’ve read, and one I’ll be referring back to often.

Highly recommended for anyone who wants to protect their memory, boost their cognitive health, and build a sharper brain for years to come.

Interesting read

I would say that I already knew about 50% of the information in the book because I follow brain health professionals, but Dr. Steele definitely knows his stuff. Great book and it’s nice to have all of the information in one place.
