In my world, love comes with a rulebook.

Marry the right girl. From the right family. With the right last name.

I’m Jack Alden—the only son of the Alden dynasty. The kind of New York family that’s been around since ships were made of wood and fortunes were built on steel.

My mother’s been trying to find me a “suitable” wife for years.

So naturally, I fall for a woman who couldn’t care less about any of it.
Iris Williams.

I first saw her at the New York City Ballet—crying in the stalls like the music had cracked her open. She didn’t know who I was. She wasn’t performing for anyone. She was just… real.

One night with her, and I remembered what it felt like to actually breathe.

Then she disappeared.

Months later, I find her again—on a fruit farm in the middle of Colorado, hurling raspberries at me like she’s auditioning for a food fight. Turns out, Iris is smart, stubborn, and not remotely impressed by a billionaire with a trust fund and an overbearing mother.

She makes me laugh.

She makes me think.

And for the first time in my life, I want something that isn’t written in my family’s history books.

But old money comes with old rules.

And loving Iris means breaking every single one.

They say you can’t choose where you come from.

Maybe not.

But you can choose who you fight for.

And this time, I’m choosing her.

Because when it comes to Iris Williams—I don’t just love.

I love hard.

I love the interweaving connection the main male characters have in this series.

Our male lead character in the story, Jack, is one of the last to look for his happily ever after, and the author delivers a great plot to draw you in.

Jack is written as a man with a beautiful soul who truly wants to give his heart to someone special. Spoil her, take care of her, but let her be who she’s meant to be. Embracing her strength from within. He is so sweet and tender, not to mention hot!

Iris is beautifully depicted, the picture of grace, yet she is torn in her heart between wanting to find her passion and her family obligation.

It’s a tough road they traveled with seemingly no true answer to how they can be together until the very end.

The characters are beautifully developed, and it’s a poignant story that tugs on your heartstrings. Bay captures the intense feelings and yearning for resolution perfectly. She includes all of the spice and heat that the story warrants, and it becomes a book that you simply can’t stop reading.

I had such the feels for Jack. He truly is an awesome character, and so is Iris. Beautifully coupled in their strengths and weaknesses.

Bay writes amazing stories that touch your heart and make you melt as she weaves this beautiful love story. Love Hard is a great closure to the series. It can be read as a standalone, but why would you want to?

The third book in the Colorado Club Billionaires series features New Yorker Jack Alden, heir to the Alden family fortune and playboy. Jack wants no ties and enjoys his life just as it is until he spots Iris in the audience at the New York City Ballet.

"It’s a woman in the audience. She’s in one of the very best seats in the house, in front of the stage about six rows back. Her hair is pulled back into a tight bun, like the woman on stage, and she’s dabbing her eyes with tissues. Her profile is elegant. She has a long neck and high cheekbones. She looks like she belongs on the stage and not in the audience".

Iris Wilde is a fruit farmer from Star Falls, Colorado. She had dreams of being a ballerina that never came to fruition. She has worked on her father's farm with her brother since her mother died.

"As he comes into focus, my stomach flips as I realize I recognize him. That sharp jaw and full lips. The shiny thick hair that looks like it was passed down from JFK himself. I’ve seen him before. I never go anywhere, so I must have seen him in Star Falls".

All of Jack's friends are in a committed relationship and are very understanding and helpful when Jack finally finds a love interest. Iris is committed to the farm and can't see how there's a future for her and Jack.

This book had all the feels and plenty of hot, hot hot action. I just loved Jack, and I loved Iris even more. They're wonderfully imperfect characters. This is Louise Bay at her best yet again.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book and am leaving an completely honest review.

This love story was truly beautiful. Jack is an absolute sweetheart who empowers women, and I just love that. Iris deserved someone who would make her their number 1, and Jack did that and more. The spice was delicious and written perfectly

So sweet and thoughtful

Iris' and Jack's story is so sweet.
After the books of Jacks friends (Colorado Club Billionaires series and The New York City Billionaires) I was very interested in knowing who gets Jack's heart and I'm totally happy with this conclusion.

This book is well written and easy to follow. Even non native English readers will enjoy this book. The story is told from both main characters, Irish and Jack, from the first person. I prefer the writing in the first person because I could feel all their emotions under my skin. It's more personal for me. And I felt so much through these pages.

Jack's evolution through the book is concrete and relatable. I felt immediately drowned into him. He's such a good person and thoughtful. He's the one anyone needs to fall in love with. He has some stones in the way but he tries to manage them the best way possible.
I love the interaction between him and Iris. The chemistry is so sweet and expanding proportional.

Iris' is also undergoing an evolution through the book and one that a lot of people could relate to. I was very invested in Iris because something on her hit me right in the chest. I confess that I cried a lot with her. Everyone deserves a chance on love and possibilities.
But I also was so happy with her.

The relationship evolution between Jack and Iris is also relatable for me. It makes sense and I always knew what to expect from them.

I wouldn't say it was a roller-coaster on my emotions but it was quite sweet and comforting to read Iris' and Jack's story.

About the side characters, there are some cameos from the previous books (New York City and Colorado Club Billionaires) and one or two mentions of The Doctor series. I love when they're back.
Oh and there are some interesting side characters I wanna get their story been told.

conclusion:
Such a sweet and thoughtful love story that makes my heart swoon.

This is the 3rd book in the Colorado Club Billionaires series. All of them are standalones, but interconnected. For a better reading experience I recommend to read them in order.

𝗔𝗥𝗖 𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪:

This book completely owned my heart, This was one of those reads where I wanted to slow down because I didn’t want it to end, but I also couldn’t stop turning the pages because I needed more.

If you know me, you already know how weak I am for a small town girl and a billionaire city boy. It’s my comfort trope, my favorite dynamic, the one that gets me every single time. And Louise Bay? She understood the assignment completely, not only did she deliver, she raised the bar. She leaned fully into everything I love about this dynamic and somehow made it feel fresh, intense, and deeply touching. The contrast between their worlds, their energy, their hearts, it all just worked. It worked so well that I’m still thinking about it!

I loved this entire book, start to finish. There wasn’t a moment where I felt disconnected or bored. Every chapter pulled me in more and more and by the time I was done, I felt like I had gone through something real.

The chemistry between Jack and Iris is absolutely insane. It’s the kind of connection that feels natural and intense at the same time. Their interactions felt honest, warm, and full of tension. I believed in them without question, I’m usually not someone who falls for love at first sight stories, but this book completely changed my mind.

Jack’s story was one I had been waiting for, and the moment Louise announced this book, I already knew it would be a five star read. Somehow it still managed to exceed my expectations.

I also have to say, this series as a whole is incredible. Love Fast and Love Deep were amazing reads, but Love Hard sits on a completely different level for me. It hit harder, It felt deeper, It stayed longer. This book felt personal in a way that’s hard to explain without getting emotional all over again.

Louise has truly become one of my favorite authors. She’s an instant read author for me now, no questions asked. When she releases a book, I already know I’m going to read it, love it, and probably think about it for days afterward. The way she writes romance feels sincere and rich with emotions.

Huge thank you to Louise Bay for giving me an ARC of this book!!!

I have loved this series since the beginning and this hands down my favorite of the series. “Love Hard” is a heartfelt, swoony and steamy small town, billionaire romance that was a great addition to the series.

For his whole life, Jack Alden’s whole life has been planned for him. He’s the sole heir to the Alden fortune which comes with a mountain of responsibilities. But when out at the ballet one night with his mother, he sees her. Iris Wilde is from a small town in Colorado but has always dreamed big. She grew up wanting to be a ballet dancer in NYC but when her mother suddenly passed, she gave up that dream to make sure her family’s fruit farm stayed afloat. But she takes one weekend a year where she goes to NYC to go see the ballet. Jack knows he needs to meet her and the two end up with a connection neither was expecting. Then another family emergency takes place and Iris leaves before they can meet again. That is until months later when Jack ends up in Stars Falls and sees her again. And he knows this is his second chance with Iris.

From the first chapter, I was hooked on Jack and Iris. Both are loyal to their family and felt the need to do what was expected of them. Jack is smart, genuine and was putting his family’s needs above his own. Spotting Iris in the crowd was what his soul needed. Iris is kind, sweet and loves her family and their farm, even if running it was never her dream. Escaping to NYC once a year is what fed her soul and I loved how she found that piece of happiness. These two meeting that night was so special and I loved how it grew in just that one night. And finding each other again in Star Falls was so perfect. The small town vibes and even working on the farm was what Jack needed to really figure out what he wanted in life. He had always been willing to be what his parents wanted but he saw so much more out there. Even after those couple months, the spark they felt that night was still there. I loved them reconnecting and how they seamlessly fit back together. The steamy scenes were so good and just intensified what they were feeling. They might have come from two different worlds but they were so meant to be and I loved them as a couple. The ending was perfect and I have loved this series so much.

I am RUINED in the best possible way. This book hit me right in the chest and then stayed there, living rent free. Louise Bay absolutely nailed the rich-boy-falls-first-and-falls-HARD energy, and Jack Alden is now permanently etched into my book-boyfriend hall of fame.

Jack’s world is all legacy, expectations, and a future already planned for him—until Iris Williams walks in and quietly, completely undoes him. The way he first notices her at the ballet, crying because the music cracked her open? That moment alone sold me. Iris is real in a way that money can’t touch. She doesn’t perform, doesn’t impress, doesn’t bend. She just is. And Jack seeing that, wanting that, needing that? Swoon.

Their reunion in Colorado had me grinning like an idiot. A billionaire being pelted with raspberries by a woman who couldn’t care less about his last name? ICONIC. Iris is smart, stubborn, grounded, and refreshingly unimpressed by wealth and status. She challenges Jack in ways no one ever has, and you can feel him waking up around her—like he’s finally breathing for the first time.

The tension between love and obligation is done so beautifully here. Old money. Old rules. An overbearing mother. A future written in ink. And then Iris—who doesn’t fit the mold and refuses to try. Jack’s internal struggle felt raw and real, and when he finally chooses Iris? When he decides love is worth burning down expectations for? I was emotional.

Jack doesn’t just fall—he commits. Fiercely. Publicly. Without apology. And that line—“I don’t just love. I love hard.”—excuse me while I melt into the floor.

This book is romantic, heartfelt, sexy, and quietly powerful. It’s about choosing your own happiness, rewriting the rules, and fighting for the person who makes your world feel real. I adored every second of it.

Five stars, all the swoons, and yes—I would absolutely let Jack Alden ruin my life. 💙✨

Love Hard: A Billionaire in a Small Town Romance (Colorado Club Billionaires Book 3) by Louise Bay tells the story of a chance meeting at the NYC ballet between small-town girl Iris Williams and Jack Alden of the Alden family’s dynasty. Iris manages the business side of her family's berry farm in Colorado. At the same time, Jack is being groomed to take over his family’s investment conglomerate in NYC, with family expectations that he will marry into the right social circle. Jack and Iris spend the evening together after the ballet and agree to meet for brunch the next morning. Still, when a family emergency involving her brother forces her to leave, she leaves him a note at the restaurant. Since neither of them exchanged last names or phone numbers, they have no way to find the other. After sleepless nights thinking about Iris and their connection, Jack decides to travel to Colorado with his friends and stay at his buddy’s Colorado Club, which caters to the wealthy and famous. While in town, he sees Iris again in a diner, and they explore their connection that night, prompting him to stay in Star Falls, CO, for an extended period. As Jack begins to fall for Iris, he even helps with the Wilde Farm berry business by introducing new ideas to strengthen their operations and possibly free Iris from her obligation to keep the family farm running profitably. A family emergency calls Jack back to NYC, leaving Iris behind, while his mother pressures him to marry within their elite social circle. Jack must decide whether he can truly give up Iris and marry someone he doesn’t love. Iris longs for more than just managing the books for her family’s berry business but doesn’t know how to move on with Jack in NYC or when she might see him again. Louise Bay once again delivers an emotional love story that keeps her fans coming back for more romance.

There is much to love about Author Louise Bay’s new romance, LOVE HARD, the latest in her Colorado Club Billionaires series.
When Iris escapes the family farm in Star Falls, Colorado for her annual trip to the ballet in New York, and Jack, from his box, spots her sitting in the audience waiting for the curtain to go up on the production of Cinderella, there are several parallels to that fairy tale. He falls hard! Their failure to exchange phone numbers and her sudden call back home will sub for the midnight curfew and the lost slipper. But the similarities end there, because once they miraculously rediscover one another, the challenges truly begin. They come from different worlds and although Jack believes that they’ll find a way to be together, there is no clear path.
I think that for Jack, the biggest surprise was how quickly and thoroughly he fell in love with Iris, although he doesn’t use that word until the last chapter. Bound by his wealthy New York family to carry on the family legacy of sitting on charitable boards and overseeing the family trusts when his father retires, he has been training for this role all his life. He is firmly planted in the city.
Iris is also bound to her family and to Star Falls. She has managed the business side of the family fruit farm since the sudden death of her mother when Iris was a teenager. Having already given up her dream of becoming a professional dancer and living in New York, Iris is sure that she and Jack should not become involved. But they do.
The author has a way of creating the best people and then bringing out the best in them. I love these characters, and I love seeing cameos of characters from her previous books. I can hardly wait to listen to the audiobook.

Love Hard by Louise Bay is a heartfelt small-town-meets-billionaire romance that starts with fate, flirts with heartbreak, and ends with a love worth fighting for. 💕

Jack Alden has everything — money, power, and the expectations of the famous Alden dynasty weighing on his shoulders. He’s been groomed to become his father’s perfect heir, but inside he’s suffocating. Then he meets her — Iris Williams, a small-town girl with ballet dreams and dirt under her fingernails from working on her family’s fruit farm. Their worlds couldn’t be more different, yet from the moment he sees her at the New York City Ballet, he’s hooked.

He falls first and hard, going so far as to pay people for a seat beside her. They kiss in Central Park, promise to meet again — and then she vanishes, leaving only a note. Fate, however, has other plans: months later, on a guys’ trip to the charming town of Star Falls, Jack finds her again.

Their chemistry is instant, their connection undeniable. But while Jack wants forever, Iris is terrified of getting hurt. He’s used to control, and she’s used to disappointment. Slowly, they learn to meet in the middle — with pizza dates, tender words, and a lot of emotional healing.

Louise Bay balances the billionaire glamour of New York with the warmth of small-town love perfectly. Jack is romantic, protective, and devastatingly sweet — “A lifetime isn’t going to be enough with you, Iris.”

A slow start, but once it clicks, it’s pure magic. A touching, emotional read about choosing love over fear.

Love Hard is the third book in the Colorado Club Billionaire Series by Louise Bay. Jack Alden grew up following strict rules and was always told to marry within his New York social circle. His parents prepared him to lead the Alden family and expected him to find a partner who would continue their traditions. Most of his business school friends have settled down: Bennett and Efa, Leo and Jules, Worth and Sophia, Bryon and Rosie, Fisher and Vivian. Jack was content being single until his mother surprised him at the NYC ballet by insisting it was time for him to get married.

Iris Wilde comes from a family of farmers; her family has operated a fruit farm in Colorado for many generations, and her father is the principal owner and operator, with help from her and her brother, Bray. Iris had a dream to become a ballet dancer; however, when her mother was killed in a drunk driving accident, her life changed forever. Unbeknownst to her family, she goes to NYC once a year to see the opening of the NYC Ballet, where Jack notices her from the Alden Family box, and makes sure he has an introduction to her. They spend the evening walking around NYC and Central Park, and make plans to meet up the next morning. However, her brother breaks his leg, and she is summoned to return home. Meanwhile, the guys try to lighten Jack’s mood by planning a surprise trip to Bryon’s Colorado Club.

I really enjoyed reading this series and how Ms. Bay interconnected the NYC Billionaires and the Colorado Club. It’s unique and well done.

Love Hard is a story about two people burdened with futures they never chose.

Iris Williams grew up in the small town of Star Falls, Colorado, where her family owns a fruit farm. After her mother’s passing, Iris sacrifices her dream of becoming a prima ballerina to help her father and brother keep the farm running. Once a year, she escapes to New York City to immerse herself in the beauty and brilliance of ballet—a reminder of the life she once envisioned.

Jack Alden is a native New Yorker and the heir to the powerful Alden conglomerate. Groomed from birth to take over the family business, Jack uses his sharp business instincts to build a fortune of his own, proving he is more than just an heir.

Their worlds collide when Iris and Jack meet at the ballet and share a passionate evening. Months later, fate brings them together again when Jack vacations at an upscale resort located in the outskirts of Star Falls, owned by a close friend. Unable to resist their connection, they fall deeply in love. Despite the many obstacles standing between them, Iris and Jack fight for a future they can truly call their own.

I truly enjoyed this book. If you’re looking for a novel with a strong heroine and a hero who exceeds expectations, Love Hard is well worth reading. With engaging twists and heartfelt moments, it’s an entertaining and satisfying story from beginning to end.

The last of the New York Billionaires finally finds love! Gosh, did I love hard on this book and on Jack Alden. Jack’s life has always about acting proper and his family legacy until one night at the NY ballet where he meets Iris and from there on out, he knows Iris was his woman. Yep - all the swoon for Jack as he relentlessly jumps all the obstacles Iris has over their relationship. Iris is a small town farm girl, everything she does is first and foremost for her family and their business. She only has one annual indulgence, a trip to NY for the ballet. It’s where she meets Jack, in their Colorado bubble, their love is easy, but NY, it’s a whole other world for Iris and Jack struggles to let their worlds collide. Of course it all comes good in the end, but not before there are some tears to be had. Jack has his friends try to talk some sense into him, and I love this group of guys, they’ve been there for each other every step of the way. We have followed this friendship group from New York, quick pit stop in Vegas and ending with them in the Colorado Billionaires Series. I’m going to miss this lot and their leading ladies! They have been some of my most favourite stories!

I have absolutely loved the Colorado Club Billionaires series and I will miss these characters, but I loved that Jack finally got his happy ending! Jack Alden was born into the elite society of New York, while Iris Wilde helps run her family's fruit farm in small town Colorado. The two could not be from more different worlds, however, a chance encounter at a ballet shows that sometimes opposites do attract.

The growth that both characters experienced throughout this book was perfect. Both start out a little lost and feel the pressure to help run their family businesses, keeping them in separate states. Jack and Iris let the pressures of family and the outside world tear them apart, but Jack's amazing inner circle helps him to learn, grow, and show him what really matters in life.

The magnetic pull between this couple is felt instantly. I love how Jack supports Iris to follow her dreams but doesn't take over or throw his money at them, as Iris would not want that. These two were the perfect cherry on top of the Colorado Club series and the book has the perfect balance of plot and spice!

Love Hard is a heartfelt, emotional story about timing, sacrifice, and choosing between love and responsibility.

Jack Alden is in New York escorting his mom to the ballet when a chance meeting changes everything. A conversation after intermission leads to a walk through Central Park and an instant connection, one that feels meaningful, even though they part without exchanging numbers.

Iris once had dreams of becoming a ballerina, but after her mother’s death, she gave them up to help run her family’s fruit farm in Star Falls. Her life is rooted in responsibility, loyalty, and putting her family first.

When Jack unexpectedly runs into Iris again in Star Falls, he decides to stay, working remotely, helping on the farm, and growing closer to her. Jack’s genuine interest in the farm and his ideas to improve its future show just how invested he becomes, not only in Iris, but in her entire world.

The conflict is beautifully done. Jack’s future is in New York, running the Alden empire, while Iris can’t imagine leaving the farm that depends on her. They both know their relationship may have an end date, and that knowledge adds an emotional weight to every moment they share.

This story is warm, emotional, and deeply romantic. Jack is everything—supportive, patient, and completely devoted to Iris and her family. If this is the final book in the series, it’s a bittersweet goodbye to a group of characters I’ve truly loved: Bennett, Worth, Byron, Leo, Fisher, and Jack.

This is the third book in the "Colorado Club Billionaires" series but it can absolutely be read as a stand-alone. It tells the story of Jack Alden, N.Y. heir to an immense fortune and Iris, the small-town girl he falls for at first sight. They couldn't be more opposites and Jack is pressured to find a wife from an elite family so it's clear from the beginning: nothing can come out of their attraction or can it....?
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and I finished it in two days. I felt for both main characters who both were expected to give up so much for their family and the family business. I loved how the story unfolded and rooted for them to find a solution for their personal HEA.
I have to say I thought the "spotting a woman in the audience of the ballet and falling for her only by sight" a bit unbelievable and the fact that Iris is from the small town where Jack's friends get together ever so often was a coincidence that didn't really convince me but as the story unfolded I didn't mind too much. I loved briefly meeting all of Jack's friends and their significant others again which is something I very much enjoy when reading interconnected series.
All in all another great romance by Louise Bay who is one of my favorite authors.
I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Some love stories grab your attention. Others settle into your chest and refuse to leave. Love Hard did the latter for me.

From the very beginning, I was rooting hard for Jack and Iris. Were they doomed from the start, or always fated? That question kept me turning pages late into the night. Their connection is instant, intense, and achingly sincere, the kind of love that makes you feel it physically. More than once, I had to pause just to breathe through that familiar ache in my chest.

Jack has always been the quiet, stoic presence in the background, carrying the weight of expectation without complaint. Watching him finally confront what he wants, rather than what’s expected of him—was deeply satisfying. Iris is the perfect counterbalance: grounded, unpretentious, and completely unimpressed by status or legacy. Together, they feel real, vulnerable, and incredibly human.

Every obstacle had me internally cheering them on, desperate for them to choose each other despite the pressure closing in. This book reminded me why I love romance so much! Being fully submerged in a story, emotionally invested, and unwilling to let go.

Without question, Jack and Iris are my favorite couple in the series. Love Hard lives up to its title in every possible way.

It was so good to be back in Star Falls. This world always feels familiar and welcoming, and I loved spending time there again while meeting new characters and catching up with favorites from the series.

Iris and Jack come from completely different worlds. Iris is a small-town farm girl from Colorado who gave up her dream of dance and ballet after losing her mother, choosing family and responsibility over the life she once imagined. Once a year, she travels to New York to visit what could have been, and that’s where she meets Jack.

Jack is an uptight New Yorker, confident and successful, and instantly intrigued by Iris’s grounded, real-as-it-gets nature. Their connection is immediate and intense, especially as distance and very different lifestyles complicate things.

This story delivers the elements I enjoy most in a Star Falls romance. There’s small-town charm, billionaire romance vibes, long-distance tension, and an opposites-attract dynamic that pulls you in quickly. The emotional beats are strong, and the setting feels lived in and familiar.

If you’ve been enjoying the Star Falls series, this is a great addition and a return to a beloved town with a new couple to root for.

Thank you to Louise Bay for the ARC.

Jack was the "last man standing" of his friends. And I was so excited to read his story and how he will find his HEA.

Oooh, is he falling hard. And first. Not just first, but definitely love at first sight 🥰 I love seeing men falling this fast and hard 😁 So utterly devoted. But at the same time, there are so many problems 😔 He and Iris are as opposite as they are similar. Both are bound to their families. Iris to her family's farm and Jack to his family's legacies. But they come from two different worlds. I felt sorry for both of them because both had to give up so much in life to support their family.

It's a wonderful story that, even with the family problems, doesn't have much drama, nothing dark. It's definitely Hallmark-ish but with 🌶️ 😉

I have to say, I was extremely surprised by Jack's mother. She's definitely the absolute snob you think about when it comes to people from old money 😖 But what happened at the end was 😳

Honestly, I'll miss all the friends🥺

This is book 3 in Colorado Club Billionaire Series. This is Jack and Iris story

What to expect
💚He falls first falls hard
💚Opposites Attract
💚Billionaire Romance
💚Slow Burn
💚Small Town

Jack is a guy who feels he has everything he need but becoming the heir to the business is making him feel like he can't breathe. So when he meets Iris he can't believe the effect she has on him.
Iris is from a small town and is a hard working woman who's worked on the farm with her family and when she meets Jack she thinks there is no way it can possibly work as they are from two different worlds.

This story is so well written and it flows throughout beautifully. The chemistry between these characters is off the charts hot and steamy and they have connected with each other instantly which is so beautiful to see. I love seeing how this love story played out and how it all developed. The way this author writes is gripping and once you have been pulled into These worlds you don't want to leave until you see it out until the very end. I love the emotion you feel and the way you feel all the words inside your heart.
This is a slow burn love that I highly recommend.

Love Hard is one of those "safe place to land" romances. It's Cinderella but feels comfy.

Jack Alden is old money, New York polished, and carrying the weight of generational expectations like a tailored suit he never quite chose for himself. Iris Wilde, on the other hand, is grit, heart, and quiet sacrifice wrapped in ballet shoes she only allows herself to wear once a year.

Their meeting at the ballet feels less like coincidence and more like fate gently clearing its throat. Iris’s yearly escape to NYC—her one indulgence after giving up her dream to save her family’s Colorado farm—adds such tenderness to her character. And Jack? Oh, Jack. He’s the kind of hero who doesn’t try to fix her, rush her, or reshape her. He simply sees her. He’s supportive, emotionally present, and refreshingly kind.
What really shines is the emotional pacing. Despite the love at first sight feeling, this isn’t insta-love; it’s connection, respect, and quiet longing building into something solid and safe. Their love feels earned. Rooted. Real. A safe place to land. Who doesn't need one of those these days?

I have loved this series and Jack will steal your heart! Jack is a single child, which means he has to carry on his family’s dynasty and his parent’s expectations, until he meets Iris. Iris has given up a lot to be there for her family and is just going through life until she meets Jack. Jack and Iris help each other see other possibilities and open each other up to a future they know won’t work. Jack and Iris have an instant connection and their one night leads to a deep connection, but life has other plans. That is until they are brought together again. Iris and Jack give into their chemistry and enjoy their time with each other. Jack and Iris know they have an expiration date, even though they want to make it work, they are stubborn and stuck in their own ways. Life continues to throw these two curveballs, they just need to decide if they can fight for what they want or are they going to let others control their futures? I love the journey that Iris and Jack take us on. The banter, melt your heart moments, and the intense chemistry will have you devouring this book to see if Iris and Jack can make it work or if they’re doomed from the start.

Jack + Iris

Jack and Iris come from two different worlds. Jack is an elite of NYC and Iris is from a small town in Colorado. These two meet at a ballet and sparks fly.

Iris comes from a family that has a farm which produces fruit. She has sacrificed a lot to be there helping them out and one time a year she indulges. She goes to watch ballet. The dream she once had.

Throughout Love Hard you will see themes of family pulling each of these characters back home, the expectation of being loyal, and the people in their lives rooting for love in the best way.

Love Hard is going to pull at your heart strings. Have you ever wanted to leave everything behind and go for your dream? Have you ever felt like you couldn't do what you wanted because of the expectation of home (of what your family wanted you to do)? This is that and so much more.

Jack and Iris deserve a happy ending. Truly. Them getting out of their own way and allowing happiness with each other rather than apart is the goal.

Thank you to the author for an advance reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely love this series and this next story has me all kinds of emotional. A definite 10+ star review from me. From the very beginning I was entranced by Jack and Iris. Both characters have ingrained themselves into my heart and soul! Jack is wealthy and is expected to take over his father’s company, but he feels there is something missing in his life. When he sees Iris one night, all bets are off, he needs to show her that she belongs in his life. But Iris has other plans, and even though she feels an attraction like no other to Jack, it’s not meant to be. Or is it? The emotions I ran through while reading were numerous and my heart hurt for these two. I literally cried and needed several tissues before I could continue their story. They made me laugh with their witty banter and my Kindle almost caught on fire with their sizzling chemistry. As I’ve said, I love this series but Jack and Iris are by far my favorites! A definite must read for all!

4.5…..A sweet story in this intense series! Jack and Iris meet one night unexpectedly and it changed both of their lives. Two people who are committed to their families and the legacy they are leaving…even though they are not truly happy. Two people who are hard working and would love to do things their own way…but love their families. Together these two have sassy banter and undeniable chemistry…but is that enough. Iris was independent in her own right but loved her family to a fault. Jack fell hard for her and never let go. This is a well layered read with a very compelling story. A story about family legacy…no matter what that looks like. A story about finding your person and not wanting to let go. This is a sweet series with amazing stories. I am Really enjoying this friend group and the stories they are telling.

Love Hard is one of those romances that sneaks up on you and then just… stays.

As the final book in the Colorado Club Billionaires series, this felt like the perfect send-off—especially since Jack was the last friend still standing. Jack Alden is old money, family pressure, and expectations stacked impossibly high, but what I loved most about him is how tired he is of the life chosen for him. The moment Iris walks into his world, you can feel everything shift.

Iris Wilder is everything Jack’s world tells him he shouldn’t want, and that’s exactly why she works. She’s grounded, genuine, and completely unimpressed by wealth or status. From their emotional first meeting at the ballet to the raspberry-throwing reunion in Colorado, their connection feels real, easy, and earned.

I loved watching Jack finally choose love over legacy and claiming his forever.

When love strikes you the moment she catches your eye.

I'm sure this book would fall under the "Love at first sight" trope but it really is much deeper than that when you take into account your status, your location, etc. I love that this story moves beyond what is the norm and allows two people to love freely. But can they move past everyone else's expectations?

I think the beginning of the book was my favorite moment when she first catches his eye and he cannot look away. The desperation in wanting to meet someone that leaves you tingling all over and itching to be closer.

Once the world catches up to thier meeting each other, that's when complications arise. You'll have to read the story to find out what those things are. Just know, it's worth every moment of your time. Great read, I was gifted with an ARC from this author and couldn't wait to post my thoughts.

Jack finally gets his happily ever after and it’s with a beautiful small town girl.
I enjoyed this…it’s a gentle story with very little drama…a bit insta-love for me but then all of these guys have fallen hard and fast in this series!

I liked the dynamic of city to country and how these two managed to resolve their lifestyle differences… Jack’s family holds a lot of power and the responsibility to become the head of the Alden name lays heavily on Jack’s very capable shoulders..however when he meets Iris he realises there is so much more to life than family commitments and fake society matchmaking.
Iris can’t see how she and Jack could possibly work…their lives are so different and far apart…but their connection is impossible to ignore!

Nice characters and an easy resolve…great to see the other guys with their lovely ladies.

Love Hard offers the full package: humor, sweetness, sexiness, and an emotional build-up that leaves you feeling deeply connected to both characters. There are mountains and valleys of doubt, family issues and many miles between them. Iris & Jack share a fierce and genuine connection that provides a rock-solid base to build their relationship off of. Their romance is beautiful and heart tugging. I felt all of their emotions; the happiness, the heartache, the fear and excitement, the longing and their love for each other. Watching them navigate their struggles while showing such strength and perseverance was both heartbreaking and inspiring. I definitely recommend this book and the series!

Love Hard is the definition of a sweet, feel-good romance. Iris and Jack have instant chemistry, and I loved the love-at-first-sight vibe paired with their completely opposite lives.

From the very beginning, their relationship is warm, supportive, and full of heart. Both characters grow so much throughout the story, and watching them encourage each other made this such a comforting read. Jack working on the fruit farm? Absolutely adorable and added so much charm.

If you’re looking for a super cute romance that pulls you in right away and leaves you smiling, Love Hard is definitely worth the read. 💛🍎
