Overall, I enjoyed this, but I have a couple of notes. 1: I think Kassandra would honestly know better than to use the G-word when talking about Romani people, and 2: the POV transitions really needed some kind of line break or something to make them clearer. As is, I got lost a couple of times as to if we were in Kassandra's or Mad's POV. Part of it can be justified by the shared memories deal with the magic rings, but even then...
This book continues the Saturday morning cartoon vibes of the first book. Kassandra Killjoy is as witty and snarky as ever, Mad Chan is paving her own path as the Sword Slinger, and the murder mystery keeps the reader on their toes, with a plot twist you won't see coming! I recommend this for fans of The Dresden Files!
