Guarding Her Heart: A Lesbian/Sapphic Bodyguard Romance

Rate this book
Love was never part of the mission—until she became the one thing worth protecting.

Fame brought Sabine Fontaine everything she thought she wanted… except the woman she never stopped loving. When threatening letters turn her world of lights and glamour into fear, her manager hires a bodyguard to protect her image—and her life.
The last person Sabine expects to see again is Rowan Merrick, the disciplined soldier-turned-security expert who once held her heart.

Nine years ago, Sabine walked away to chase her dream. Now Rowan is back, determined to keep her safe, even if it means pretending she feels nothing. But as danger closes in, old wounds reopen, sparks ignite, and the line between duty and desire begins to blur.

Set against the glittering backdrop of Los Angeles and the glow of the Christmas season, Guarding Her Heart is a steamy, slow-burn lesbian romantic suspense about courage, forgiveness, and the love you never forget.

Perfect for readers of Harper Bliss, Lee Winter, Anna Stone, and Monica McCallan—where passion meets protection and second chances set hearts on fire.

My first time reading this author and I was teetering between 3 and a 4. I love a good bodyguard story but there were too many reasons I couldn't give it a 5 and a 3 would have to be an absolute sh@t show. There was enough repetition that it brought me back to my days in school when I had to write a so many words report and I would throw in a few of the same sentences over and over again. Thank you for the fond memories from my high school days. ( Before Word and all the other cheats out there these days where we actually had to physically count each word to make sure we had enough for the teacher). lol

I like the bodyguard trope and this was ok but I did struggle with the storyline at times and skipped over the overlong erotica parts to get back to the plot and finish. Even the last chapter was padded out unnecessarily.
