I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this adorable holiday anthology—thank you to all the authors—and it ended up being such a warm, feel-good collection. I went in already familiar with two of the authors, and now I absolutely plan to check out the rest, because I genuinely fell for every couple in these stories.
Each novella had its own flavor, but they all delivered cozy holiday vibes, friends-to-lovers magic, dual POV goodness, and that satisfying mix of soft moments, tension, and festive charm. Across the anthology, I made so many reader noises, smiled constantly, and even “yelled” at a couple of characters (all lovingly, because I just wanted them to get their HEAs). There were a few characters I didn’t like in certain stories, but it only made rooting for the main couples that much more fun. And I found several great quotes I’ll be thinking about for a while.
Since this is an anthology, the tropes ranged nicely—every story had friends to lovers, dual POV, and holiday romance, but some added best friend’s brother, a few leaned into small-town charm, and one gave me a perfectly satisfying cowboy romance. The variety kept it engaging from start to finish, and overall it was such a delightful holiday reading experience.
Spice guide (for readers who want to know):
• Snowed In With My Best Friend: ch 3
• Tequila & Cowboys: ch 4
• My Kind of Trouble: ch 4 + epilogue
• Mistletoe Match: ch 13–14
• From Friends to Forever: ch 19
• Something About Yule: ch 7
• Chasing Christmas: ch 5
Since Snowed In With My Best Friend is the only novella I received as its own ARC, I’m including my full thoughts on that story at the end of this review.
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this sweet holiday novella (Snowed in with my Best Friend)
—thank you to the author—and it was such a fun, cozy addition to the Montgomery Ink Legacy world. This story will be part of The Holiday Friend Zones anthology, and it delivers exactly the kind of warm, charming holiday friends-to-lovers energy I was hoping for.
Cullen and Posy together were an absolute delight. Their friendship already felt solid and lived-in, so watching it shift into something more during a snowed-in holiday moment just worked. The dual POV made their growing feelings even more enjoyable, and I laughed more than once at their banter and awkwardly adorable moments. I even made a couple of reader noises along the way—and the little “epilogue” at the end was incredibly cute.
As always, the connection to the Montgomery Ink Legacy family gives the novella that familiar found-family warmth, and the short length doesn’t take away from the charm or chemistry at all. It’s the kind of holiday contemporary romance that leaves you smiling by the last page.
