When Clara Holt inherits the decaying mansion of her childhood, she believes she’s come home to heal old wounds. But behind the walls of Echo House, memories don’t fade—they whisper, they scratch, and they wait.
As the days blur, strange noises echo from the floors below. Rooms rearrange themselves. The woman she sees in the mirror is no longer her. And the deeper Clara digs into the mansion’s history, the closer she comes to uncovering the truth about the night that changed everything.

Definitely draws you in! Was a great thriller… the only downside, the complexity of the FMC was a little hard to comprehend. Overall I really enjoyed it.
The Woman in the Walls is presented as a mix of psychological thriller/gothic horror. It actually reads as neither.
It had an interesting premise and some good plot points. The short chapters kept me turning pages. However, it read more like an outline than a fully flushed out story. There was not enough character development for the story to feel fully flushed out or for me to genuinely be invested in the characters. The story never felt suspenseful or thrilling. There were also inconsistencies in the writing that were distracting. I wanted to like this more than I did. I think if the story was rounded out a bit more with better character development and a little more editing, then it has the potential to be an interesting novel.
Overall, it was a okay read and I was able to get through it in a couple hours. I do not believe I will be continuing the series and I am not sure I will pick up another book by this author any time soon. However, it was a fast paced, easy read. If you are looking for something to easily read in one sitting, this might be a book to check out.
