At long last, Olivia’s oldest friend Cara is set to arrive in Timber Falls, just in time for Thanksgiving. Meg and the quilting ladies have a Friendsgiving feast for the ages planned, but it might be too much to ask for everything to go smoothly.
A string of vandalisms has the town turned upside down and everyone is quick to cast suspicion on their neighbors. Chief Rob Hansen is scrambling to catch the culprits as local pressure mounts and the holiday goodwill begins to fray.
When Emma’s shop is hit, the ladies prepare for vengeance, and Cara is all too happy to offer her sleuthing assistance. But when someone ends up missing, the case takes an unexpected turn.
Olivia’s going to need the help of her beloved cat, Millie, and all of her friends, to discover the truth before it’s too late!
I’ve never been much of a Thanksgiving fan mainly since it’s just one day. My brain usually goes from summer to Halloween then directly to Christmas, but I really enjoyed this mystery. There wasn’t a body, but it was still interesting and compelling as police, Olivia and crew tried to figure out what happened to a teen that was missing.
That had a good outcome which made the friends’ Thanksgiving even more special. I loved what each one had to say when they took turns telling what they were grateful for. I really liked getting to know Olivia’s longtime bestie Cara who’d come for a visit and found myself wishing she’d stay. Who knew she’d hit it off so well with the quilting ladies, lol. Although if Cara ever did move there, I’m wondering if it might make Meg a little sad since she and Olivia are the Timber Falls besties. Can’t wait for the next book after reading the description at the end of this one. I’d love to see Christmas in Timber Falls, but it sounds like the next book takes place after Christmas but still in winter.
Another delightful book in this series. The characters are well done and the cat is marvelous!

I love the wonderful characters in this cozy mystery set in the Mountains of Colarado. I love Mille, the Guardian cat, though in real life, I'm allergic and definitely a dog person. I'm sure that would change if I had a mystical dander-free talking cat. This book left me wrong feeling warm and happy for those who love and support others, whether neighbors, newcomers, or strangers. Thanks for this sweet Thanksgiving mystery.
Not my favorite one so far. There seemed to be a lot of negativity - mostly from Olivia about herself. Cara - her visiting friend - was way too interested in solving the mystery without being thoughtful or safe. At least Olivia was trying to keep Rob in the loop as they did stuff. Super short read.
I was a little disappointed in this one. I did not like Olivia's friend Cara at all. I hope she does NOT move to Millie's town. Having Cara in the house meant conversations between Olivia and Millie were very limited.
This is a delightful series! I loved the storyline and all the wonderful characters, Mil!ie being my favorite. The ending was so heartwarming. I was hoping Olivia would get a proposal! Hope soon! Can't wait for the next book!!!!
It is hard to figure out what is happening with the broken windows around town. It takes the town sheriff, Olivia and her friends to solve the mystery.
