Yule Be Mine

Rate this book
When workaholic best man Carter arrives in Mistletoe Falls for his best friends’ Christmas wedding, a town-wide Santa Festival and a misplaced motel reservation leave him with one option—beg the woman he once rejected for a room at her bed-and-breakfast. Unfortunately, that woman also happens to be the bride’s sister…and the maid of honor.

To make matters worse, the bride and groom are delayed, turning Ashley and Carter into last-minute wedding planners, forced into a truce neither of them wants. But late-night checklists, a blizzard of holiday activities, and a charming small town turn their snark into sparks.

When they get snowed in and every near-kiss feels dangerously close to something real, Carter realizes there’s more to December than year-end deadlines.

As their truce melts, one question remains—is this a holiday fling, or the start of forever?

I’ve read all the Christmas novellas this author duo has put out and they are always very cute and easy to read. This one did a good job of putting me in the festive mood as well. The pacing was good too. However, I do think the decision Carter and Ashley made at the end regarding their relationship was unrealistic. But all in all, I had a good time reading it. I would recommend if you’re looking for some Christmas-themed reads.

when i tell y’all my hopes for this book or subpar at best and it surprised me bc i really didn’t like it! first of all ashley should have stood her ground and made him grovel 100 times longer than she did, and then the proposal on the wedding day that was supposed to be her twin sister getting married?? like what?? mind you they don’t even really know each other, like they’ve probably spent a collective week and a half together in their entirety of knowing each other it’s insane. like ??? i love a holiday romance as much as the next person, but i could not keep a frown off my face as the book kept going

As someone who loves Piper Rayne's writing this was such a disappointment for me.

It was sooo fast-paced that I almost didn't know what happened. After a very failed attempt at a date, the two MCs meet again some time later where they literally kiss once and then he acts like an idiot, they kiss again and end up in bed with each other and than in about 2-3 days the MMC proposes. They went from hating each other to kissing, fucking and getting married in so little pages... which is insane for me.

I absolutely loved The Nest series so I'm shocked I hated this as much as I did... Either way I can't wait to see what Piper Rayne writes next.

4.25 Stars! This book gave me all the cozy holiday vibes. Carter shows up in Mistletoe Falls for his best friend’s Christmas wedding, only to find himself stranded… and forced to ask Ashley, the bride’s sister and the woman he once rejected, for a place to stay. Talk about instant tension.

Watching these two plan a wedding while snowed in, surrounded by twinkle lights and small-town holiday chaos, was adorable. Their grumpy-but-flirty teamwork slowly turns into something sweet, and it just fits.

The banter, the chemistry, the Christmas magic, this story made my heart feel extra festive. If you love small-town romance, forced proximity, and a little mistletoe trouble, this one will make you smile from page one to the final kiss. ❤️✨

Yule Be Mine was a close proximity, holiday romance that was entertaining!  With a best friend’s twin sister and a little bit of dislike to love, this second chance romance was a festive and quick read.  In the story you’ll find watching Christmas movies, ugly Christmas sweaters, hot cocoa, falling snow, and even a stripping Santa lol.  I didn’t realize at first that this was connected to Single and Ready to Jingle and the subsequent books after that.  While this can be read as a standalone, I absolutely loved those first three stories!  While I adored his siblings' stories more, I was so happy that Connor finally got his happily ever after.  And for those that love epilogues, this one will leave your heart happy.  Yay!
All three of the Russell kids fell in love at Christmastime. Who could ever have predicted that?

This was a short, quick, and cute Christmas read. I enjoyed the banter, the humor, and the dynamic between Carter and Ashley. The audiobook was also fun to listen to.

I did feel like the ending was rushed. The disagreement that happened had me rolling my eyes a bit because giiiirl, how are you gonna get upset over that?! And then there was another part (iykyk, no spoilers) that just pulled me right out of the story.

Overall, I still enjoyed this one and would recommend checking it out if you enjoy any of the following:

❄️ Enemies to lovers

❄️ Forced proximity
❄️ Holiday romance

Narrated by Christine Lakin and Sean Masters, this holiday novella is pure festive fun! It’s fast paced, flirty, and full of Christmas cheer. Christine’s sweet tone perfectly matches the cozy, feel good vibe, while Sean’s deep, captivating growl adds just the right amount of heat. It’s the kind of short, sweet, and spicy listen that’ll leave you smiling and maybe a little flushed — the perfect holiday treat for your ears.

2.5/5🌶️

Having a twin sister might be a tricky and difficult thing for our main character. Why? Because Ashley was in the situation where her twin sister was a famous and successful actress. That was something mind challenging for Ashley, to be the spitting image of someone who was that famous and to almost never be known for her own person. That played a big part into the feud she had with handsome Carter, who was one of his sister's best friends and something that happened between Ashley and him triggered that little conflict. With their complicated history, Carter was a bit unsure if Ashley would agree for him to stay at her B&B, because he didn't have any other choice at that moment. The tension was palpable between them and that event from the past was still in Ashley's mind. But there was a small chance that the Christmas season and festivities to change something there. You just have to find out by yourself🤭.

This was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable reads I've had this year. It was such an easy read, and the pages flew by so quickly. I had the bestest time following Ashley and Carter, to see their constant bickering. Because Ashley's sister was planning to get married at her B&B, something unexpected regarding the organization of the wedding forced Carter and Ashley to spend even more time together. That might lead to the resurgence of some old feelings that were so hard to ignore, even with all the loathing Ashley had for Carter.

Anyway, this was definitely one of those books you turn to when you're looking to have a good time, relax and feel cosy. You will definitely be captivated by this whole world from Mistletoe Falls and the sweet love story behind the pages of this book.

Having the chance to listen to this book was sooo amazing, happy that I was able to just get lost in the story and all thanks to Christine Lakin and Sean Masters.🥰 They did such an incredible job by bringing these characters to life, exuding those good story vibes and that sense of comfort. A duet that must be listened to, as all the other Piper Rayne's audiobooks, which I personally adore!

I must thank Valentine Pr and Piper Rayne for always being amazing and accepting me for this wonderful ARC and lovely ALC.

I already had low expectations starting this book, but wow this was bad. The only good thing about this book is that it was only a 4 hour audiobook to reach my reading goal for the year. At least it made me laugh with how bad it is.

Yule Be Mine
By: Piper Rayne

I’ve been pushing away the part of me that wants him since the minute he arrived in town.

Ashley looks the same as she did in my vision the night before. And that’s when I know that I should never have questioned my feelings for this woman because she’s meant to be mine. Forever.

I can’t believe I was ever stupid enough to push this woman away. I was a f***ing idiot.

What a sweet Christmas story!!! Carter and Ashley are brought back together 6 months after their date gone wrong. Carter is best friends with the couple getting married, and it also happens to be Ashley’s sister who is the bride. When plans change, Ashley and Carter agree to help with the last minute wedding planning. This leads to more time together and feelings blooming. And what an ending!! Loved it!

Love this series!!

Cute short holiday read. Carter and Ashley had a bad experience in the past. Carter is best friends with Ashley’s twin sister, so when she sets them up together, and sparks begin to fly, Carter gets freaked out that Ashley looks just like his BFF. He leaves her high and dry that night and Ashley hates him for humiliating her.

Now, the twin sister is getting married and Carter and Ashley are forced to be in the same room. Worse than that, the same B&B, Ashley’s B&B. Forced proximity begin!!

I really liked how the enemies part melted through them spending more time together, and how Ashley’s impression of Carter changes when she gets to see who he really is, and how Carter gets to see Ashley is her own person, and just how different she is from her twin.

The first few pages of this one had me smirking, which is always a good sign lol!! I loved the Christmas vibes with the Santa fest!! I loved how Carter was so quick to pitch in and help. My fave scene was the wishes they put on the tree, and how they were both about the other!! I loved Carters vision!! It was so good!!

This does have an insta-love aspect to it, even though they had a past sort of. Things move rather quickly, which I get, but just fair warning lol.

Can’t wait for the next Holiday book!!

Piper Rayne does it again! This novella is what happens when you take two people who spectacularly bombed their first date, throw them into last-minute wedding planning duty, add snow, and let the Christmas magic (ie: sexual tension) run its inevitable course.

Holiday Romance
Stranded Together
Cinnamon Roll Hero
Small Town Romance
Best Man + Maid of Honor
Close Proximity

Carter and Ashley's reunion for her sister’s wedding 6 months after that first date is delicious. Swoony. So fun.

The beauty of this novella is that it’s festive, fast-paced and full of Christmas cheer, packing a punch in terms of storyline in a really short span. The characters are lovely and likable, the romance is charming, the vibes are cozy AF and I really enjoyed it!

🎧The audiobook narration was great, with Christine Lakin bringing sweet, cozy, feel-good vibes while Sean Masters brought charm and that captivating growliness we love so much. They were delightful and I loved every second of listening to them bringing Ashley and Carter to life.

This was my first Piper Rayne book and it will definitely not be my last! This was everything I want a Christmas book to be. Short, sweet, and just the right amount of cheesiness (it’s set in a small town called Mistletoe Falls during the Santa Festival…need I say more?!). The pacing was great in this novella, and considering the length of it, I felt I could connect well with the characters. This was the perfect book to kick off the Christmas season for me! If you love small-town romance and forced proximity, then this one is for you! I could read 200 more pages of Carter and Ashley!

This one is releasing on November 13, 2025 and will be available on Kindle Unlimited!

Thank you so much to Valentine PR and Piper Rayne for a gifted ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review! 🥰

2.5 rounded up

I so wanted to love this one. Piper Rayne has fast become an auto buy romance author for me, and I was so excited to jump on this holiday novella. Unfortunately it was just way too fast-paced and instalove for me.

The setting was sweet, the few outings were cute, but I couldn't get behind a lead who rejected another because they were too similar looking to their identical twin, and then just seemed to get over it 6 months later because they finally noticed superficial differences.

The whole novel of planning out their sibling/best friends wedding I was expecting and dreading the ending that I correctly guessed, and it really did just drag the book down for me. I can't fathom two people who've been on one date and spent a week and a half together making that leap, let alone in a few hours, and it just didn't fit the characters who barely developed any form of a bond in that time.

I think if this was grounded more in reality I could have loved it, but unfortunately it just didn't click for me.

Sadly, for me, this really lacked in chemistry and being organic.

I love the premise. The MMC’s girl best friend has an identical twin he *almost* hooks up with but he can’t separate her from her twin, so he leaves her in the lurch and there’s bad blood.

Fast forward and we’ve got wedding planning forced prox which is all good and well! But everything felt really choppy as far as pacing.

I did enjoy the community and Christmas festivities and it definitely scratches the Christmas itch. The Christmas aspects Piper Rayne created felt very unique and fun and quirky! I’m looking at you Santa strip tease 😂

Buuuuut by the time they grew together and the MMC shares his big feelings….there’s no build up. No emotion. You almost miss it if you’re not paying attention.

There was a lot of potential for this story but it really lacked in character emotion and depth, and the couples’ chemistry (or lack there of)

Do I recommend it? No.

Thank you Valentine PR for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

“Careful, Ashley. If you keep talking like that, I’m going to assume you don’t think I’m a total douchebag anymore.”

I love Piper Rayne’s holiday romances! They always leave me with warm fuzzies. Carter and Ashley's story is pretty low angst, with a little bit of animosity on Ashley's end (Carter was an ass when they were initially set up), but for the most part this is a lighthearted and spicy read.

There are tons of holiday shenanigans to be had - reindeer races, spiked eggnog, a Santa Claus strip tease, and a one-bed, snowed-in night of fun. These two were destined to end up together.

Yule Be Mine is a medium burn and spicy MF standalone romance that ends in a HEA. Perfect for those who love holiday romances.

I absolutely loved the duet-style narration by Christine Lakin and Sean Masters. They perfectly brought these characters to life.

Thanks to Piper Rayne and Valentine PR for the e-ARC and ALC.

Such a cute, quick holiday read. Since it’s a novella, it’s super fast and easy to breeze through, but still gives you all the cozy Christmas vibes. The romance is sweet, the chemistry is fun, and the small-town setting adds the perfect festive touch. Exactly what I wanted from a holiday novella.

This is a new for me author so first time reading her book and it didn’t disappoint! It was such a cute holiday romance, I loved the small town vibes and the santa race was sooo funny.

Carter and Ashley are super cute, I really enjoyed the will they won’t they banter at the beginning. They started off as not liking each other when he turned her down months ago but they quickly realize they do have feelings for each other.

This was fast paced, sweet and full of all the holiday and Christmas cheer I needed. This made me want to be snowed in at a bed and breakfast with the best hallmark vibes.

I only wished it hadn’t rushed so fast at end, they met a few months ago after going on a date and Carter rejecting Ashley because she’s his best friends twin, then months later he goes to Ashley’s B&B and it’s there for probably less than a week, they hate each other, can’t stand each other then a few days later are in love, they get in a fight almost break up and the next day he proposes to her!!!!??? I was like whaaaaat? They really put me off and i wish it would have gone differently 🫠

This was the cutest holiday romance set in the perfect town of Mistletoe Falls, VT.

Ashley and Carter are both so fun! After a not so great first attempt at dating they are forced back into each other's lives because Ashley's twin sister, who is also Carter's best friend, is marrying his other best friend. With a bit of forced proximity, thanks to having to finalize wedding plans, they are able to truly get to know each other. Their spark and chemistry is undeniable.

While waiting for the bride and groom to get into town, they partake in all sorts of holiday activities around town that had me giggling. I was also swooning while watching Carter try to win Ashley over. It was a bit of a slow burn, but the spice was wonderful, albeit a little rushed since this is a novella. But I appreciated that they didn't rush through the story just to get to the spice.

I also listened to the audio, which was just perfect. It was a duet narration with Christine Lakin and Sean Masters. I am a big Sean Masters fan, and he absolutely knocked it out of the park as Carter! This was my first book by Christine and I absolutely adored her as Ashley. Both these brilliant voice actors put depth, humor, and feeling into every page.

I had the best time doing an immersive read with this book. It was the sweetest, low drama, holiday romance that has filled me with Christmas Spirit!
