They came for me. Silhouettes of dragons blackened the sky. I wrapped my arms around myself, trying to choke back the panic rising in my chest. There’s nowhere to run, no place to hide, no way to delay the inevitable. I looked at Tynan. In his eyes, there was nothing but cold, unyielding determination. He’s going to risk everything to protect me, and I can’t let him.
4⭐️ " I would trade thousands of lifetimes just for one day with you. Before you , I wasn't living , I didn't even know what life was." "Storm flower..You remind me of a wild flower that only blooms in a storm."
Dragons, shifters, and zombies mixed with Groundhogs day are a combination that never will go old. There are some things I really enjoyed about this book and some things that frustrated me as a reader. The story was pretty fast-paced with lots of action, especially since it picks up right after the battle in the last book. I really liked that we got Frid's POV in this book with some of her backstory as a child and her relationship with Victor. I also liked that we got to see Alina develop as a leader, using her people skills and brains to fight. However, I got a little frustrated with the development of relationships in this story. Tryan and Alina 's is seeming to regress. Tryan has literally done this relationship twice. Why is he acting like this? I literally want to reach in and shake him. Victor and Frid had so many missed signals that it got a little bit annoying. Frid was willing to believe the sisters instead of him?! 🤦♀️ But the end?! NO, please tell me no... How soon until book 4? Thank you for choosing me to be an ARC Reader.
“Stormbond” throws you straight back into the fire, and I loved every second of it. The story wastes absolutely no time—one moment you’re recovering from the last book’s ending, and the next you’re caught in a whirlwind of battles, political tension, and emotional unraveling.
The characters are separated for most of the story, which I thought would frustrate me, but it actually made the world feel richer. Frid’s point of view added a whole new depth I didn’t realize the series needed, and seeing Victor through his eyes made their relationship feel more real and fragile.
Meanwhile, Alina and Tynan carry the weight of leadership in a way that’s raw and full of growing pains. Their choices matter more than ever, and the book handles that pressure beautifully.
There are betrayals, unexpected reveals, and tiny moments of tenderness tucked between all the chaos. And then the ending that cliffhanger should be illegal. Truly.
I’m hooked all over again, and already waiting (impatiently) for the next chapter in this world. ⭐ 4/5 — emotional, intense, and completely absorbing.
Stormbond is the second book in The Dragonborn Queen series. Book 3 picks up immediately where book 2 left off, so you jump right into the action and deal with the consequences of a battle. Frid and Victor spend the book separated from Alina and Tynan. Therefore, the book has three POVs, so the reader can see what is happening with them while they are away. There is progress with Frid and Victor's relationship, and Alina and Tynan spend the book establishing their new rule. It was interesting to see a new part of this world from Frid's viewpoint. I've wanted more worldbuilding in this series, so Frid's journey helped with that. I was also excited to see that there will be a prequel series because there is a lot of information and context missing about Alina's past. There is a little spice, but not much, because there is a lot of advancement in the plot. The book ended on a cliffhanger, just like the first two books, so stay tuned! This one is 4 stars!
The story continues where the last ended. Erin leading the dragons to fight the black clan. I loved the continuation. And yes , it is advisable to read the previous books to get the feel of the characters and what they had already gone through. Each chapter continued the adventure of Tynan, Alina, Frid and Victor. Each had their own challenges to conquer. There own awaking of feeling for each other and what that meant to their future.
Suspenseful action throughout. Secrets were revealed and betrayal from unexpected sources. And a thrilling cliffhanger.
Can't wait to see what happens next. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This is the third book in the Dragonborn queen series, where the first one ”Firebond” blew my mind away with shapeshifter dragons and zombies. It was followed by ”Bloodbond” that gave us a bit of background and world building around.
”Stormbond” starts exactly where ”Bloodbond” left us, in a middle of a raging fight. It differs a bit from the first two books, now we have multiple POVs, mainly Alina and Frid.
It was like two stories in one, where we get to follow Alina and Tynan in one and Frid and Victor in the other. They all have their struggles to figure out!
It ends in a mind blowing cliffhanger like the other ones, Lina really knows how to keep you wanting more.
This book picks up exactly where book 2 ends and I adore the fast pace of the book! There's definitely a lot of plot and story development. There's a new pov and I loved getting Frid's perspective. Alina has some growth development in leadership and the relationships are just ummm yes no and what! Like missed signals, rules, and just some regression but there's also a little spice and the book does leave you on a cliffhanger and one the men you will absolutely be yelling about as you read!
I love the little world Lina built, and fell in love with all her characters.i devoured it in one day wanting to know what happens next. this book got 4 stars because I have to WAIT again to find out what happens next. Alina cant die.. right? do Frid and Victor make it back? and the Sisters what happens to them. Is the Fall where everyone can find their way back home. sooo many questions.
So disappointed to find I struggled through this series wanting to know what happened in the end, only to find another cliffhanger! This was shown as a trilogy and now have to wait for book 4. I already thought this series could have been made shorter, so to find it has been stretched into another book is beyond me. Sorry but that is the end for me as it didn't keep me interested enough.
I enjoyed this book but again it didn’t live up to the first book. I feel like the story is taking a long time to get anywhere and I am not sure I like the way Alina and Ta relationship has developed through the past two books. I will read the next book and hopefully we will see more of the Alina and Ty from the first book which I loved.
You get so encapsulated by the whole series that you don’t even realize you’re at the end of the book. I read all three books in three days on the edge of my seat.
Idk man. I feel a lil… like I was so enamored with the series and I looked up if there was a fourth. Because I like to save the book before until the last/next comes out so I don’t feel so hung out. I couldn’t find anything. “To be continued”??! MF.

I hate to say it but here goes… I completely lost interest in this book. It was overly dramatic whilst not actually being well written or surprising. Very disappointed.
