Revenge of the Jackdaw

Shadow of the West — Book Three

Aada, Jak, and Prince Chalian face their toughest challenge yet.

As a wyvern tears through towns and cities, leaving ruin in its wake, darker forces stir behind the chaos. The ancients are moving to ascend once more. And from the depths of darkness, the God of Shadows reaches for dominion over the world of men.

Aada must master powers she never asked for. Jak is driven toward a fate he refuses to accept. And Prince Chaliain is forced to fight for the throne he was born to.

They were never meant to be heroes. They are not the chosen.

But they may be the only ones left who can stop what’s coming.

This was absolutely amazing and my favourite of the series so far. I think now that I’ve met characters from other series such as Bane of the North and Daughter of Chaos, it makes it all the more special and having them interact in this was wonderful. I love the direction that this is taking us and there was so much character growth. This series somehow feels cosy even though there is so much at stake and I think that’s because of how homely Adrian’s writing feels to me now. When I’m back in his worlds I immediately feel like I belong. I cannot wait for the next book!

Good read

Loved it and can't wait for the next one in the series. I'm loving the magic system it's unique to anything I've read before.
