This book was just plain bad. It was poorly written and lacked any sort of editing. Grammar, syntax, and formatting errors were abundant and distracting. Attempted metaphors and similes that made no sense. It read like an outline of ideas and thoughts instead of an actual flowing story. Every chapter ended with some sort of statement that was clearly just trying to come across as a ‘bad ass’ quote that could be taken well out of context. I could keep going, but I digress.

The plot itself might have had potential, but it was hard to tell as it came across as extremely unrealistic due to a complete lack of context and descriptions. And honestly, the errors were so distracting, it was hard to pay attention to the plot at all.

I don’t enjoy leaving such a negative review on a debut novel, but this book should have never been published, at least not in its current state.

I really wanted to like this book and support a new small town author. I think the plot has potential and given the right hands could’ve been a great story. But I couldn’t get past the editing, or what felt like the lack of editing. About every 10 pages was a typo, the entire book is double spaced except for a few mistakes where it’s a line or two that is single spaced, the random indenting of paragraphs is inconsistent, quotes not being in quotations or only half quoted making it hard to understand, way too many simple sentences, not knowing who was speaking each chapter, etc. Like I said I wanted to like this but this was tough to read :(

The Lies We Loved by Tiffany Rachelle is a gripping blend of passion, betrayal, and suspense that keeps you hooked from the very first page. The characters are beautifully flawed and hauntingly real, and the twists left me breathless. It’s a dark, emotional rollercoaster that lingers long after the final chapter. If you love stories filled with obsession, deceit, and heartbreak, this one is an absolute must-read! Can't believe the author actually lived through these experiences her self! But it inspired a great read!

This book pulls you in from start to finish!! I had this book by my side literally always!! While drinking my coffee, while getting my steps in on my walking pad, while having lunch, and even while I peed. Yes!! You read that right, while I peed!! It was so good that I could not put it down!! I've never been one to finish a book quickly(slow reader) but this is the first book I have read the quickest ever, not only because of the great story line but because it flowed so naturally and was an easy read; all pluses!! Definitely a must read!!

Without giving anything away, I can say Tiffany Rachelle has a way of bringing you into the messy life of the main character, Vivienne, in a way that gets you addicted to the storyline. I read it in one weekend only putting it down to handle basic human necessities. 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
