“A safe word? That’s so cute that you think a word could keep you safe from me.”
CYN I met him the night three men tried to hurt me. Sasha Melnikov appeared wearing a skull mask... beautiful, brutal, merciless. He made sure they never would again. Then he looked at me. And every instinct screamed to run. But instead of killing me, he took me home. He said I was safe. He lied. Because safety doesn’t watch you like you’re something to be consumed. It doesn’t make you crave the very thing that could destroy you. He’s danger wrapped in devotion, violence made human, and I can’t seem to stay away.
SASHA Cyn believes she has a choice. She’s wrong. She was never meant to be free of me. From the moment I saw her, I wanted her name carved into my skin, her scent in my lungs, her blood in my veins. She’s the only thing that’s ever made the chaos quiet. The only part of me that’s still human. And if the world tries to take her from me... I’ll show them how slowly I can work a knife.

Ahhhh freaking Sasha!!! I looooove him so much! 🥹😭💖🤭🥰
I thought about writing a review, but I feel like there's no way I would be able to stress enough how much I enjoyed reading this book. So instead, I'll just share some of my favorite highlights (because I have so many 😂) and let you decide if this book is for you. 🤭
Some quotes:
♥️ "My dad was right. I’ve seriously been knocked on my ass, and there’s no going back."
♥️ "She makes me forget about everything else, and I know I’m in serious danger of losing myself in her. I can’t help it, though. She’s an addiction I don’t ever want to quit."
♥️ "She doesn’t realize we’re in the foreplay stage of things, but we definitely are." 🤣
♥️ "I don’t understand what I feel for her, but I know it’s not ever going to go away. Ever since the night I found her […] it’s like something clicked in my brain, like some part of me reached out and latched onto her. And now she’s everywhere—in my every thought, in my dreams, and I swear she’s even in the air I breathe. I have no idea what the fuck she did to me, but she did something."
♥️ "The top of her head barely reaches my shoulders, but her body still molds to mine. The two of us easily fitting together like she was always meant to be right here with me."
♥️ "I’m new to jealousy, so I’m not sure what’s normal and what’s not, but I do know the vast majority of people have at least kissed, and usually done a lot more than that by the time they hit college, but knowing it’s true and knowing it’s true for my Cyn are two very different things." 🤣
♥️ "She has no idea who I am or what I do. No doubt she’ll come to her senses and tell me to get lost and never come back. Mia raises a brow at me. “Would you listen to her if she did?” I grin and shake my head. “No way in hell. She’s mine."
♥️ "Sasha is so all-consuming that it makes it impossible to hold anything else in my mind. When he makes an appearance, everything else gets shoved aside."
♥️ "He makes me feel safe, makes me feel like I don’t need to worry about anything, like everything will be okay as long as he’s near me."
♥️ "There are too many things I don’t understand, too many things that confuse me, and I’d rather look like an idiot in front of you than risk you being hurt because of a misunderstanding." 🥹
♥️ "There is most definitely an us, Cyn. There is no longer a you or a me. There is only an us. You are mine, and I am yours, and I would never allow anything to happen to you."
♥️ "I will never be worthy of you, Cyn, but you have me all the same. Whatever love I’m capable of belongs to you. Whatever heart I have is yours."
♥️ "I’m always surprised by how sweet Sasha can be, and every time he shows me this side of himself, I know he’s giving me a precious gift, something special that he only reserves for me. It’s a great feeling."
♥️ "She’s the only place that’s ever felt like home, like I can be myself without any judgment or worry, because I know she’s always going to respond to me just like she is right now, with unconditional love."
♥️ "I’m the six-five murdering crazy guy, but she has me so whipped that one look from her can bring me to my knees."
♥️ "I’m still fucked in the head, there will always be something that’s not quite right about me, but my Cyn makes me a better man, not a perfect one, but a better one, and I recognize that for the gift it is."
♥️ "She’ll help me, she’ll keep teaching me, and I’ll keep loving her and trying my best to be the man she needs me to be."
♥️ "[…] Life without her isn’t an option. She was mine the moment we locked eyes, and I will never let her go. Not when my heart takes its last beat, and not when my lungs take their last breath. I’ll still belong to her, even then."
♥️ “I love you,” knowing every word of it is true. I’ll never know what other people feel, but I know what I feel for her. And if that all-consuming feeling—that happiness that I feel in my fucking bones that radiates through every cell in my body when I see her—isn’t love, then I don’t know what is.
♥️ "I’ve never been excited about my future before, but I am now, and I can’t wait to share every second of it with my little Cyn, my krovinka, the woman who turned my world on its ass and made it better in every conceivable way."
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
"With my mouth pressed to her pulse point, I kiss a girl for the first time in my life"
"I’m the six-five murdering crazy guy, but she has me so whipped that one look from her can bring me to my knees."
OMG!!! Hands down best book of the series!! I just knew Sasha was going to be my favorite. My most anticipated one! I think I highlighted the whole book lol.
Sasha is a textbook psychopath with zero emotions, and everyone is free game for killing no questions asked (outside his family). Then he meets Cyn and his world is turned upside down. He doesn't know what to do because for the first time ever he doesn't want to kill someone and he is aroused by a woman. A stalking/falling in love romance done SOOOO well!!!
-psychopath mmc that feels zero emotions and has no clue what to do with everything Cyn makes her feel when he first meets her -sunshine fmc that couldn't hurt a fly -soft only for her (his dog too) -he falls first (technically, his dog falls first, actually lol) -boy obsessed -he teaches her how to use a knife and defend herself -He stalks her -he watches her sleep at night -masked man -he carries a chunk of her hair around to soothe him when he needs it 💀 -he checks her breathing frequently to make sure she doesn't need her inhaler -blood play -he takes care of her -he spoils her -he moves her in while she's at work, lol -he washes her hair -he buys her tampons, pads and pain killers for her period (asks his sister for help 😭) -he calls her my Cyn -he tattoos her name on his c*ck after their first meet 💀 -period sex (literally the only time I've enjoyed reading it lol) -he WORSHIPS HER -POSSESSIVE and PROTECTIVE mmc! -Dual V- he's never even been aroused by a woman before. She had a bf in high-school and made out with him. -he's such a softie for her 😭😭 -man is all in from the moment he meets her! -HEA
I'm obsessed with this series and CANNOT wait for Niki and Savs book!!!!!
“I’m giving you a quick lesson in killing, Cyn.” “I don’t want to kill anyone,” she says, and I almost laugh at how I’ve managed to find myself enamored with someone who is the exact opposite of me."
Unfortunately, I didn't love this one like I thought I was going to. The MMC (Sasha) was meant to be this unhinged psycho, but me (and Cynthia) thinks he was just a misunderstood sweetheart with a hair obsession (the man cut and braided a piece of her hair and kept it in his pocket—sir?? therapy?? ꒰ affectionately 💖💖💖꒱) I did love the Niki and Sav love match though; that made me very giddy, and they deserve their own spin-off.
But Cynthia's self-esteem was in the trenches, and the constant "little Cyn"s had me twitching. Also, the number of times her red hair was compared to blood… why. By the 50% mark, I was kinda over it, and the plot didn't help much. Still, it was sweet in parts, it made me happy, and the writing was very enjoyable. I'll read more by this author.
P.S. I made a shelf just for Sasha- stalker-walker-behind-the-blocker (Please find it funny :D)
I received an advance copy of this book through Booksprout, and these thoughts are entirely my own.
Ohh, I’ve been waiting for this one! Sonja’s mentions of Sasha throughout the series have always left me curious and completely infatuated with him. I’ve been desperate to finally get inside his dark, brilliant mind—and I was not disappointed.
Sasha Melnikov has always been different. Ever since he was a child, he’s been fascinated by blood, drawn to it, not scared of it. Growing up in a Bratva family surrounded by violence and loyalty, with his father Lev Melnikov and a whole clan of uncles running the organisation, Sasha’s darkness was something he learned to live with early on.
He isn’t normal. His brain works differently, a dark kind of different. He’s quick with his knives, always keeping them on him, always sharpened ready to kill. He’s emotionless, detached, unhinged, and turned on by pain and blood. It’s not something he hides; it’s simply who he is.
He’s surrounded by love in his family, his siblings and cousins, his uncles, his parents, but he doesn’t really understand it. Plenty of women are attracted to him, but he brushes them off. The warmth, the affection, even the desire that seems so natural to others, it’s foreign to him. He’s never felt it. Never been turned on. Not for anyone.
Until he meets her. Cynthia. His little Cyn.
A sweet, anxious university student studying biology with dreams to become a vet tech. She meets Sasha’s dog first, Chort, a massive rescued Doberman who’s only nice to Sasha and Cyn. From the moment Sasha sees her and catches a glimpse of her blood-orange hair, he’s obsessed. He calls her my little Cyn and Krovinka, following Sonja’s theme of Russian nicknames (you’ll have to read to find out what that means!). He wants her, he needs her, and he obsessives over her.
✨”I said you’re mine, krovinka. I will wait for you, but I won’t leave you alone.”✨
He stalks her. Watches her sleep. Leaves her notes. Keeps a camera in her room to watch her. He’s terrifyingly possessive, yet only ever gentle with her. He’ll kill anyone who’s ever hurt her and that’s a promise.
Cyn, on the other hand, is the light to his darkness. She’s shy, kind, and deeply insecure. She struggles with anxiety and panic attacks, but they disappear when she’s with Sasha. He’s quick to silence every self-critical thought she has, worshipping every inch of her curvy body, catering to her vegetarian lifestyle despite his own dark obsession with blood. Their contrast is almost poetic, she’s all sunshine and warmth, and he’s all violence and darkness. She’s the only one to calm his storm, the only one to make him feel human.
✨”You drive me fucking crazy. You have no idea what your touch does to me.”✨
What I loved most was how they balanced each other. Sasha supports her through her low self-esteem, while Cyn accepts him completely, darkness and all. She never tries to “fix” him. Instead, she makes him feel seen and loved for who he is, helping him realise that to her, he’s not fucked up or broken. Watching them grow together, finding comfort in one another despite the chaos, was genuinely beautiful.
✨”I see you, Sasha Melnikov, and you’re not a monster to me.”✨
They’re both virgins, and they explore their kinks and desires together, finding new things about them each time…and the spice… my god 🥵🔥. The kink tropes in this are insane!
✨”I have a feeling I have a lot of kinks, but since I’ve never had sex, I have no idea. I’ll let you know as we discover them together.” ✨🫠
Sasha was such a complex character to write, but Sonja nailed it. She handled his darkness, obsession, and detachment with such care, it felt real. Chilling at times, tender at others. I actually got shivers reading some of his darker scenes, and still found myself smiling at the softer moments between him and Cyn.
✨”You are the only woman to make me hard, Cyn, the only one I’ve ever wanted. The only one I will ever want.”✨
This is officially my favourite of the series. First it was Natalya & Dominic’s book, then Mia & Dario, but now… Sasha & Cyn have taken the top spot. Maybe that’s fitting, considering my favourite book from the first generation Melnikov series was Lev and Jolene’s… I’m sensing a pattern here. The Melnikov men just keep getting darker and better.
Sonja Grey once again proves why she’s one of the best in the dark romance genre. Her ability to write obsessive, morally grey men with heart and depth is unmatched.
If you love dark mafia romance with a possessive, dangerously obsessive MMC, a soft but strong FMC, and a relationship that’s equal parts twisted and tender, this one is an absolute must read.
✨”I just never expected to find someone like you, krovinka.”
“Someone like me?” “What do you mean?”
“Someone who makes me feel human” “Someone I don’t want to hurt and someone I don’t ever want to let go of.”✨
Trope List:
🖤 Dark mafia romance 🩸 Blood play & period sex 🔥 Possessive / obsessed MMC 👀 Stalker romance 💋 Virgin FMC & MMC ☀️ Grumpy x sunshine 🧠 Emotionally complex MMC 🐕 Fierce dog only loyal to them ⚖️ Morally grey / antihero 🌸 Sweet, anxious FMC 🕯️ Light to his darkness ❤️ Twisted but tender love 💍 Guaranteed HEA
I can't even do a regular review for this and I ended up highlighting more than half the freakin book which I NEVER do....they were both just so perfect. She was incredibly insecure and I typically prefer my FMCs with a little more backbone---but that would have been very unrealistic considering how horribly she had been treated. Here are some quotes that keep me up at night.
🖤"I see you, Sasha Melnikov, and you’re not a monster to me.”
🖤I’m still fucked in the head, there will always be something that’s not quite right about me, but my Cyn makes me a better man, not a perfect one, but a better one, and I recognize that for the gift it is."
🖤”She’s the only place that’s ever felt like home, like I can be myself without any judgment or worry, because I know she’s always going to respond to me just like she is right now, with unconditional love."
🖤I will never be worthy of you, Cyn, but you have me all the same. Whatever love I’m capable of belongs to you. Whatever heart I have is yours."
🖤”Sasha is so all-consuming that it makes it impossible to hold anything else in my mind. When he makes an appearance, everything else gets shoved aside."
»You're surprisingly sweet for a psychotic killer.« »I told you I don't like labels, and you'll soon learn that I'm only sweet to you.«

❥ 𝑪𝒚𝒏 𝜗𝜚˚⋆ I liked her but she was very naive.
❥ 𝑺𝒂𝒔𝒉𝒂 ⋆✮ He‘s a walking red flag and a psycho with a big soft spot for his girl.
✥ 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒐𝒐𝒌 This was an enjoyable and entertaining mafia romance. I like Sonja Greys books in general but they‘re nothing special. I know this sounds harsh and it doesn‘t mean her books aren‘t good (!) but for me they‘re not memorable. I had a good time reading but I know for sure in one or two weeks I can‘t tell what this was about. Anyways the characters were likeable and I adored these two as a couple. Cyn and Sasha are like fire and water. I love the trope „only she can tame him/ he is only good with her“ and this book did it perfectly. And we got a dog!!! Overall this was a good dark romance with kinky smut and a solid storyline.
𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐬 ₊ ⊹ possessive and protective hero, instant attraction, mafia romance, touch her and die, morally dark mmc, unhinged mmc, he‘s only soft for her, his dog attacks everyone but her, stalker, masked man
Holy. Freaking. Crap. This book and Sasha were everything I expected and then somehow more. I am obsessed. There’s a very specific art to writing a blood-thirsty MMC who’s completely unhinged yet so deeply compelling, and Sonja nailed it. 🙌🏼
Sasha’s mind, his darkness, the way his obsession with Cyn slowly consumes him… it was absolutely brilliant to witness.🖤 And Cyn? She starts as this sweet, innocent little thing, but underneath, she’s a hidden siren who craves Sasha’s madness just as much as he craves her. The way they pull each other deeper and deeper into their twisted, magnetic world gave me chills, in the best way!
Also, the Melnikov family reactions? Priceless. I laughed, I gasped, and I loved every second of their chaos.🙃
I’m not going to spoil anything, because this journey deserves to be experienced without knowing too much. But here’s what I will say: if you’ve been following this series, Sasha takes everything you love and cranks it up by a thousand. And if you’re new? Buckle up, this book will turn you into a Sonja super-fan, guaranteed.😉
I hope you fall for this story the way I did. Enjoy the madness! 💀❤️📚

OHHHHH MY GOD 😭🔥💀 someone please call a therapist because I am not okay after Born Into Madness and honestly? I don’t even want to be okay 😭😂 Sonja Grey just went and rewired my brain chemistry with this book. Like… how dare she make me fall this hard for a literal six-foot-five psychopath with knives, a Doberman named Chort, and a habit of carrying a lock of hair in his pocket for comfort 😭🩸🐕🦺
Let’s start with the obvious: SASHA. MELNIKOV. My homicidal little cinnamon roll 😭💀 He’s been teased in the background of the series for so long, and I knew he was going to ruin but I didn’t realise he’d do it with such style. This man has zero emotions… until Cyn shows up and suddenly he’s out here feeling things like a confused serial killer in a Hallmark movie 😭💘
Like, sir. You don’t even like people. You’ve never even been aroused before. And now you’re out here tattooing her name on your 🍆 after one meeting?! 💀 Who gave him permission to be this unhinged and romantic at the same time?? Someone arrest him, but like… gently. I’ll pay his bail 😭
And then there’s Cyn, my sweet, anxious, sunshine gremlin ☀️💖 She’s over here trying to survive college and her own panic attacks, and suddenly she’s got this knife-happy Russian giant watching her sleep, washing her hair, and making sure she has enough tampons 😭💀 Peak boyfriend behaviour if you ask me.
But what I loved the most (aside from everything 😭) is how their relationship actually worked. It’s not about fixing each other’s understanding. She doesn’t try to make Sasha “normal,” and he doesn’t try to turn Cyn into someone she’s not. Somehow, this emotionally constipated murderer becomes the softest, most devoted partner ever. Like sir, why am I crying over a man who checks his girlfriend’s breathing because he’s worried about her asthma 😭😭😭
Also, can we talk about the spice for a second? Because HELLO 😳🔥 There were moments when I had to physically set my Kindle down and just stare at the ceiling to process what I had just read. Period play? Knife play? Emotional vulnerability?? Sonja said, “Let’s explore the entire kink galaxy,” and then did it with poetry. I was both blushing and taking notes 💀✍️
And the Melnikov family chaos??? Chef’s kiss. Every single scene with them had me cackling through my tears 😂 Sasha’s dad trying to understand why his son is acting “soft” now? Iconic. His siblings are roasting him for falling in love? I was screaming. The way they all just… accept that Sasha might casually commit homicide before breakfast but still bring flowers home for Cyn? I love this family 😭🖤
By the end, I was an emotional disaster. Laughing, crying, mildly concerned for my morals, and already planning a reread. Sonja Grey has mastered the art of writing psychos with hearts of gold (or at least bloodstained silver 😏). Sasha and Cyn are twisted, tender, messy perfection, and I’ll never recover from how much I loved them.
Final thoughts: 🖤 Unhinged, possessive, morally grey Russian? ✔️ 💖 Soft sunshine girl who calms his chaos? ✔️ 🩸 Blood, knives, obsession, and tampons? ✔️✔️✔️ 😭 Heart-melting tenderness amid the madness? YES.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ / 5: but honestly, can we add a few extra stars for the tattoo scene alone?? 😂🔥
Sonja Grey, you beautiful, dangerous genius, you’ve outdone yourself again. I’m officially feral for Niki and Sav next 😭🙏 Until then, I’ll just be over here rereading Sasha’s quotes like a lunatic and whispering “my little krovinka” to my houseplants. 🌹💀

This was cute. I really loved the bond b/t the MMC and the FMC and the devotion the MMC had for the FMC immediately - the only reason for my 4/5 star rating is I felt sorta bored towards the end of the book
Ive been waiting for this book forever, ever since i started reading this series and Im so glad it didn’t disappoint—especially after the horrible disaster of the previous book (mia and dario. What a waste of time!!) i was nervous to read this one, and it took me a week or so to crack it open!
It was unhinged in the best way possible! Sasha is a psychopath, with no interest in women or sex until he saves Cyn. She awakens something within him: obsession, love, devotion, desire. He watches her all the time, even at night while she sleeps! He has no boundaries when it comes to her and nothing he wont do for her.
I absolutely fucking looooooved that they were both each other’s first and only! More of this please!
Safe. Dual virgins, they belong only to one another, absolutely positively no memories of others gunking up their hearts and minds. TRIGGER: lots of on page killing by hero. YOUVE BEEN WARNED. No cheating or sharing. There is period sex, extremely graphic. If thats not your thing, skip that part. hea with epilogue and heroine pregnant
4.5⭐ I'm actually so emotionally attached to this series it's crazy. I've been waiting for Sasha's story since book 1, and this did not disappoint. I loved this!! It was as unhinged as I thought it was gonna be and I loved Sasha. I will say tho, I kinda wanted more scenes with the first gen; what we got was not enough (still loved all the Vitaly crumbs we got). Also, the tattoo that he got??? 🤭🤭 SIGN ME THE FUCK UPPPP.
SONJA GIVE ME NIKI'S BOOK RN GIRLIE IM WAITING (if he's anything like his dad ik he's gonna be my fav hehe)
The wait for Sasha's story did not dissapoint. This book was everything you'd expect for him.
Cyn would obviously be perfect, sasha wouldn't waste time on anytbing less for himself.
We all know Sasha story would have trigger warnings... what it NEEDS to have, is a warning to tell you that you wont want to put the book down and life needs to be put on hold. (Honestly...all Melnikov books need this warning).
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
She did it again. I cannot believe how amazing this book was. I’ve been waiting for Sasha since book one was announced and was not disappointed at all. Cindy was a little bit how I imagine but not at all how I imagined at the same time. I love how this book highlights the relationship he has with his family, especially his dad.
I have no idea how she keeps doing it. 10/10.

Honestly, I'm still not sure. Born into Madness completely wrecked me, in the best possible way. This book easily earns a spot in my Top 5 Sonja books, and I don't say that lightly. From the very first chapter, Sonja had me hooked. Her writing has that dangerous mix of beauty and brutality that makes you feel everything at once, the ache, the fear, the love, the obsession. Sasha and Cyn's story isn't just dark, it's consuming. It drags you into their world and refuses to let you go. I adored every single page, the way their relationship evolved, how Cyn slowly became the light Sasha didn't even realize he needed. The way she saw him, all of him, and loved him without trying to erase his darkness. It wasn't about changing him, but about understanding him, standing beside him. That kind of love hits differently. ❤️🩹🥹 Sonja has such a rare talent for making broken characters feel real. Sasha's complexity, his violence, his vulnerability, felt so raw and painfully human. And Cyn… she was the calm in his chaos, the warmth in his coldness. Together, they were madness and tenderness intertwined. By the end, I just sat there, staring at the last page, completely destroyed, yet in awe. Sonja doesn't just write stories; she makes you live them. I already know I'll love whatever she writes next! ✨️.

I wish there was an option to give more than 5 stars, because this deserves more!
Absolutely, loved this entire book! I was torn between wishing I had more time to read it faster and to be able to read it slower so it would last longer. This will definitely be a re-read for me and I will definitely get the audio book when it comes out too.
Since Sonja began the Legacy series and Sasha was introduced I have loved his appearances in the books. After Val’s book, I have been impatiently waiting for his book and it did not disappoint. Cin’s character is a beacon of light that draws Sasha and brings a perfect balance to his darkness. The development of Sasha’s character into a deep, complex, loving man was so amazing to be immersed in. Sasha and Cin have officially taken the spot as my favorite couple. I can’t wait for their camo appearances in the future books, especially Nikki’s if things go the way this book hints it might for him.
If you haven’t read Sonja’s masterpieces before, definitely do yourself a favor and start from the beginning of the Melnikov series because it is fantastic , but this book can be read as a standalone without any confusion.

Born into Madness is Sasha’s story. I knew Sasha was a complex man from the previous book, Born into Mayhem. He’s a special kind of unh¡nged, and I love that his family gets him. Even the tattoo guy gets him.
Oftentimes, spin-off series lose momentum, but Author Sonja Grey has not with the Melnikov Series. The plot is just as original, intense, exciting, and spicy as the last. I loved Sasha’s character and truly getting inside his thought processes, especially after what had occurred with his sister Mia in Born into Mayhem. Seeing him evolve from having feelings for someone outside his family was interesting.
When he meets Cyn, he goes through so many new feelings and experiences. And I loved that he had a dog that understood Russian and only liked Cyn—that was a blast to read. Sonja wrote so many amazing, memorable scenes in this one. I do have to say that the period s3x scene is one of the best-written scenes I have ever read. It was the right blend of hot, descriptive, and romantic—it worked.
Sasha’s story is well worth the wait!
Thank you to Author Sonja Grey for the gifted e-copy. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This book was everything I wanted and more😌 I have been waiting patiently for Sasha to find his perfect match and have someone who understands his dark side as well as bringing out his softer side. This book had me addicted from beginning to end and I couldn’t put it down! Sasha is the perfect mix of possessive, but touch her and die vibes. Cindy is the ideal woman for our Sasha brining out his softer side but only for her! I loved how she didn’t shy away from his darker side and brought out the best in him while not taking away who he is. 🩸🔪 I love love love that there was no third act break up and no miscommunication! Sonja is the best I love every single piece she writes and this is no different. This is the perfect read for anyone looking for a dark romance with a man who is completely and utterly obsessed with his woman😍 I can’t wait for nikis book 😊.

Born into Madness is recommended for someone looking for a dark, but sweet (only for his love,) hero who grows throughout the book. I've been waiting for this book since Sasha was first introduced in the series. Sonja did not disappoint! Seeing the way Sasha's mind works from his point of view, made me see him in a different light compared to other books. He fell hard for Cyn, and she accepted him the way he was and brought out the best in him. There was plenty of dark parts, blood, knives, and plenty of unhinged parts to this book, but it was balanced by the sweetness and love both of these characters showed one another. I loved the scenes with the whole family and Chort. This is definitely a reread for me and I look forward to future books.

I’ve loved every single book in this series, and this one absolutely delivered. Sonja has a gift for making her characters feel so real that you can’t help but get completely swept up in their world. Dark, intense, and full of passion, this story had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish.
I’ve been waiting for Sasha’s story since the very beginning of the legacy series, and finally getting inside his head was everything I hoped for and more. I fell in love with him all over again! The plot, the tension, the romance—everything is executed perfectly. And the ending? Just wow.
Thank you, Sonja, for writing stories that stay with me long after I turn the last page. I can’t wait to see what’s next for Niki—I know it’s going to be incredible.

The chemistry between the characters, that side of Sasha I was dying to see, made me fall even more in love. My favorite book in this series. I loved the FMC and how she fell in love with our Sasha was so sweet! I can't wait to read the next book.
The only thing I didn't like is that I already finished it and I want more. I'm eagerly awaiting the extra scenes. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. I truly loved it. 🥰.

As an avid reader, I’ve really enjoyed the ‘on the edge of your seat’ thrill I get when reading Sonja’s books. They usually are a little dark with situations that are sometimes uncomfortable to read about; however, they always have some humor and banter that lightens the weight of it a bit (Thank you, Vitaly). These books aren’t just a light romantic quick read. They really engage the reader, which I appreciate.
I love how strong the relationships are within the Melnikov family. Even though Sasha has some peculiarities, he’s accepted and it’s fascinating to explore more about him. He found the perfect soulmate in Cyn. This story built up throughout the book, getting me really hooked halfway through once their chemistry truly sparked and Cyn started understanding Sasha better. Can’t wait until the next book comes out. The ending really built up the anticipation for Niki’s book.

Cards on the table, I love this whole series! Following these characters has been so much fun and the books just keep getting better.
Sasha has always been one of my favorite characters. He’s complex, loyal and completely unhinged. His family has always accepted and nurtured him and it was wonderful to see Cyn do the same. I loved watching these two fall in love and how they embraced both the light and the dark. Also shoutout to Chort!
Great read - can’t wait for the next one!.

I couldn’t stop reading! Sasha’s growth was so well written, and this story became one of my favorites—right up there with Mia’s. I can’t wait for the next one! Sonia, you did it again. You are a phenomenal author.
