It’s here! What we’ve all been waiting for (or at least what I’ve been waiting for), Sly’s story.
This is book 3 so no spoilers. But we know the story, the rebel wolves killed his mate and in his anger and grief Sly disappears into the bush in his wolf form.
And now we get to see how Sly’s story will continue.
He’s broken and brooding and has a bunch of great lines. I loved watching him and his relationship grow. All the while wondering what Tyrone Thorne our great baddy is plotting.
Island Moon is a great finale to the wolf shifters of Magnetic Island series. There’s more spice in this instalment as well for those that like that. Also more gore and kickass ladies which I am so here for.

I went into Island Moon knowing it was the final chapter of the Wolf Shifters of Magnetic Island series, and I still wasn’t quite prepared for how satisfying it would feel to finally sit inside Sly Blackwood’s head.
For two books he has been the quiet, aching presence on the edges of the story, the former Alpha who chose the wolf after his mate was murdered and stayed there, feral with grief and hunger for revenge.
Watching him slowly, reluctantly claw his way back toward being human again is the emotional core of this book.
Isla arrives to perform at the Full Moon Party, she’s a chart topping popstar and has her own private wounds and a connection to Ava and Eden that pulls her straight into the pack’s orbit.
She isn’t the quick fix for our broken hero, oh no, she has her own demons and her own reasons for resisting the destiny the Moon Goddess seems determined to force on both of them. 🤐
Their mating bond feels less like instant magic and more like two damaged people recognizing something familiar in each other and deciding, against every instinct, to risk it. The push/pull between Sly’s self imposed darkness and Isla’s stubborn refusal to let him stay there had me clinging to my kindle, I loved the quieter moments, especially those between Sly and his brother. 🥺
Around them the larger war finally reaches its climax. The Dark Alpha and his remaining forces make their move on the island, and the pack’s found family loyalty is tested to its limits! There is more spice here, more gore, and a handful of genuinely kick a$$ sequences that reward the long build
up of the previous books.
By the time the final confrontation arrives and the epilogue closes the last door, I felt both satisfied and a little sad to leave these characters behind.
Island Moon does exactly what a series finale should…. delivers the villain confrontation that we had been promised, and ties up a few loose ends.
And still leaves room for the quiet hope that maybe, someday, we might return to this island again. 🤞🤞
If you have followed Finn, Ava, Rain, and Eden this far, Sly and Isla’s story is the one that makes the whole journey feel complete.

I finished this one late at night and just sat there for a minute before closing my kindle, that's how I know a book got me.
Sly has been this quiet, aching presence in the background since book one, the brother who's basically been gone since his wife died, running around as a wolf and refusing to be a person again. So getting inside his head this time and watching someone slowly talk him back into being alive again hit different than I expected. There's a scene with him and his brother out in the bush that genuinely got me a little choked up, not because it was dramatic, just because it felt so real, two brothers who love each other and don't know how to say it.
Isla could have easily been the manic pixie popstar who shows up and fixes the broody widower, but she's got her own wounds and her own family stuff going on, and watching those two things collide felt less like a romance trope and more like two broken people just recognizing each other. And then there's a whole separate reunion happening alongside all of it that I won't spoil, but I actually got a bit teary reading it.
It's also just a fun book on top of all that, the pack banter had me laughing, and the ending finally gives you the villain payoff the whole series has been building toward instead of another cliffhanger, which felt like such a relief after two books of buildup.
I'm genuinely a little sad it's over. I got attached to these idiots. Already hoping the author finds a reason to bring us back to this island someday.

What an Epic way to finish off this trilogy. This series was exciting, thrilling and full of suspense. The time for the rogues to attack is getting closer, but the fate has thrown then a loop when Sly gets his second chance with another fated mate. Isla is here for the full moon concert and also for her to have a break and spend time with her best friends. This story will have your heart breaking while we see Sly's guilt over take him thinking he deserves nothing good. We watch him push Ilsa away and to fight the bond all the while Isla tries to break down his walls and to let him see that what happened was not his fault. This found family is perfect they are all supportive and caring when it comes to each other. While the story is mostly about Sly and Isla we do get twists and action packed moments. The chemistry between these two is palpable and when they finally give in it is explosive. The fight between the Rogues and the fated was gut wrenching and will have you on the edge of your seat, but the ending will bring you so much peace It's what we have been wanting from the first book. I was given this book as an ARC for my honest review.

Thank the Goddess above the story I have waited for since the very beginning! Sly Blackwoods story!! This is book 3 in the Wolf Shifters of Magnetic Island. The alphas whose mate was taken, so he ran into the woods. Now he back after the Rogue wolfs were defeated, vampires defeated now we have to deal with the Dark alpha Tyrone the twat just won't quit. Sly and Isla story was so amazing and i absolutely loved this series. I will not forget this one for a long time. You have to read this series together if you don't it want make sense. Thank you, Rachel Armstrong, for writing this amazing series.

I enjoyed this book, it was interesting and kept my interest. I don't know if it's a good thing or not and that's why I rated 4 stars, I can't really pinpoint whether it was a good story in the sense that I couldn't put it down, because I could, however I did want to keep reading to find out what was going to happen next. I enjoyed the "different arc" of the shifter angle and I found the characters engaging in the sense of friends already met.

This was epic! I loved Sly! Have been waiting for his story for awhile now. Thinking he isn’t worthy, but then along comes Isla and his whole world is torn wide open. She’s his. But he can’t let himself make her good. He feels undeserving. But omg, Isla is amazing. And when these two finally get it all figured out…it was everything. This one was by far my fave of the three. Absolutely adore Isla and Sly.

What an ending to this great series.
I loved how it was set on Magnetic Island and it makes you feel like you are there with everyone.
Rachel has done an amazing job with this ending and even though she tries to break your heart with each book this one was no different but she also puts it back together again too.
Fated mates but also a slower burn but so worth it when it hits.

Epic finale
This finale is epic. It's not just a unique fated love story, it's a battle for home and an entire way of life. If you have read the first two books, you know several things. I loved reading this wolf shifter book series. The world the author has created is so good you feel like you’re part of the pack family. I loved the main characters story. Sly and Isla were perfect for each other. And their story was exciting to read. I loved how their pack all joined together in the end to keep their island. I appreciate the author sharing an early copy if the book.

I was lucky enough to get an arc for this book.
I couldn’t wait to get back on Magnetic Island to see how Isla and Sly’s story would evolve. And it didn’t disappoint.
I’m hoping there will be more books in this series or a spin off.
