This is a wonderful little collection of essays that seek to develop Catholic agrarian thought more fully in the modern world. I am not a farmer and have lived my entire life in the city, but the decline of American agriculture has led to a lot of issues and problems. I also admired this book’s commitment to the principle of subsidiarity, which is an important aspect of Catholic Social Teaching that is more often than not ignored by modern-day Catholic social thinkers. The book can be a bit dry sometimes however, and I struggled to understand some portions, especially when they reference agrarian thinkers. Maybe do some light Googling before picking this one up.
