Crossroads Ranch is a place for second chances along with hard, honest work. It’s also a place for found family and love.
Logan Mudd has been a ranch hand at Crossroads for the past five years after a troubled forgettable lifestyle. He’s worked hard and earned the respect of everyone there. Logan is shocked when he’s contacted by social services telling him he has a 5-year-old son. Logan himself was in foster care and would never wish that experience on anyone. Logan welcomes the scared, skinny, and skittish boy at the ranch with the help of Micah Garrity. She doesn’t want to help because of her own loss, but can’t resist the timid child.
Family can be more than what you are born into. Love can be the strength to be more.
An amazing and beautiful story with emotionally devastating pieces, as well as renewal and total heart fulfilling love. This story held me riveted with sorrow, anger, joy, contentment and love. Plus tears.
This author always goes to the top of my tbr.

Another in the A Crossroads Ranch series, in which a neglected child is brought to the ranch where Logan Mudd works and he's stunned. But having been a foster kid himself, no way will he send little Axel away.
But he needs help learning to be a dad and the baker at the ranch, Micah Garrity, can't help herself. She needs that little boy even as she grieves the daughter who was abducted 4 years earlier. While she and Logan may have a thing for each other, that doesn't matter as much as Axel's wellbeing.
But then Micah gets the call she's yearned for. The detective has found her Annie. Now what is she going to do? Is her heart big enough to also love Logan and Axel as well as Annie?
