Three sisters. One snow-covered inn. And a Christmas that could change everything.
Freshly divorced and newly unemployed, Leah Merriman has one liquidate her late mother's Vermont bed-and-breakfast and start over somewhere—anywhere—else. The last thing she expects to find is a rugged contractor already hammering away at the roof... or the flicker of warmth she thought she’d lost for good.
When her two sisters arrive with secrets and heartbreak of their own, the Merriman women are pulled back into the laughter, chaos, and love that once filled every room of the inn. Together they’ll have to mend broken boards, old wounds, and the walls they’ve built around their hearts.
With only two weeks until the town's Christmas Home Tour and a buyer ready to make an offer, Leah must sell the inn and escape her past, or risk her heart on the place—and the man—she never planned to fall for.
Heartfelt, funny, and full of small-town charm, The Merry Inn is a story about second chances, sisterhood, and the quiet magic of coming home. It's the perfect cozy escape for fans of Debbie Macomber, Nancy Thayer, and RaeAnne Thayne.
This book is a great read, especially around the holidays. Right away I fell in love with the characters. Since this is a series, I am not sad the book ended and there are 2 more books to go, before we say goodbye to the sisters.
I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. I don’t typically gravitate toward these Hallmark-esque storylines, but I found myself genuinely invested in these characters. It's a quick read which was also a plus. I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the series!
The idea is good, but the way it’s told is a bit too lengthy for no reason. Yes it’s a feel good, reinvent yourself, look at choices type of story but which is amazing for this time of year. But could have been told better.
As far as Christmas reading goes, this is the perfect cheesy ebook for the Holidays. No surprises whatsoever, but simple kindness and love story. Will read the entire series for the simple joiy it brings.
The Merry Inn is the first in a 3-book series. I really enjoyed reading all three of these books in the weeks leading up to Christmas. Each one features a different sister in a family. The books are festive and full of Christmas spirit, with just enough storyline to keep the reader interested. I enjoyed them!
