They're all sharing one brain cell and I love it.
Recap: helping the club president exorcise some demons vandalizing the school. The prez is actually a huge fan of them but holds a cool and collected demeanor. Helping a guy who got possessed and K's mom finds out that he's in a Phantom Busters club so she says he needs to transfer out. Girl from K's middle school wants him to join student counsel, meat eating contest, ending chapter with a person from the clan checking and attempting to assassinate Mogari.

Way back in my youth I loved a weirdo anime called haunted junction. I don’t remember much but there were ghost at a high school and the high schools tried to keep them under control. This manga kind of reminds me of that. I will say I am mostly upset by the “guy” stuff that happens in this volume. One there is a girl who had a glow up and then discusses her undergarments and she is smooshed into the boobs of another school girl. It just felt so out dated and chikan for what we have gotten. I am disappointed. I almost rated this 3 stars cause of that but I like the new guy from his family that showed up.

mogari is my son and i WILL protect him omg. i love how hes highkey important but also just DOESNT GIVE A FUCKKKKK. all of them are amazing. love the yandre student prez we are getting and the baddie girls and ... Publication assez rapide pour l’instant avec cette série, un tome tous les deux mois environs. Si bien que d’ici le début de l’année prochaine, on devrait avoir rattrapé la parution japonaise. Peut-être qu’après, la parution ralentira un peu, vu qu’au Japon, un tome sort tous les 4 mois environ. L’intrigue me semble avancer un peu vite, mais je pense que ce n’est que partie remise et non le signe que la série sera courte… même si je ne la vois pas durer trop non plus (je vois une quinzaine de tomes grand maximum personnellement). Mais on verra bien…
Maintenant que le club des Phantom Busters est officiellement créé et qu’ils ont également trouvé une salle à disposition, le groupe est bien content. Mais il ne faut pas lambiner pour autant, puisque Mogari a passé un pacte avec sa famille et qu’il doit chasser des fantômes pour rester au lycée. Ce qu’il y a, c’est qu’on apprend le nombre qu’il doit chasser et dévorer, en une année… Ce nombre semble assez important, surtout quand on voit la quantité qu’il a ingérée jusqu’à présent et qu’il ne semble pas faire de rapport à sa famille. Crétin fini qu’il est, il a même totalement oublié ce nombre jusqu’à qu’on lui rappelle. C’est supposé être un nombre impossible à atteindre pour lui, mais sa famille n’a sans doute pas pris en compte qu’il serait accompagné par quelqu’un voyant les morts et un autre qui entend leurs voix. En soit, cette alliance devrait grandement l’aider, même si l’objectif reste compliqué à atteindre, le bougre souhaitant aussi en profiter. J’aimerais dire que son côté idiot semble dû au fait que ses proches ne vont pas à l’école, mais je ne pense pas que ce soit son cas. Il a vraiment le caractère de quelqu’un n’appréciant pas les études ou prenant tout à la légère. Il montrera quand même une certaine débrouillardise et intelligence dans certains moments, mais l’école, ce n’est clairement pas son truc. Ce que je trouve dommage c’est qu’il semblerait qu’il en soit de même pour les autres, ce que je trouve triste. Qu’Eugene soit le plus intelligent, pourquoi pas, mais l’auteur n’était pas obligé de transformer tous les autres en idiots. J’ai l’impression que c’est pour contrebalancer le fait qu’il n’a aucune compétence spirituelle, mais je trouve que c’est mal dosé.
La scène avec celui qui se fait posséder par des racailles des années 80 est épique ! J’imagine déjà que la série va avoir une adaptation animée et cette scène sera magique avec du doublage. Mogari en prend pour son grade, mais il n’est pas le seul, après, ils n’avaient pas vraiment le choix pour l’exorciser. Heureusement, cette scène a eu lieu entre deux garçons, bonjour la polémique sinon, même si ça reste limite quand même. La scène est présenté autant avec humour que dégoût, pour montrer que ce n’est pas normal malgré tout. L’amitié est également un thème important de ce tome, que ce soit avec l’anniversaire de Mogari ou bien la situation d’Eugene qui semble lui échapper. Un premier personnage féminin important fait son apparition est visiblement elle aime Eugene et n’apprécie pas qu’il gâche son temps avec les autres… Les femmes passent vraiment pour des contrôleuses et forceuses dans cette série, j’espère que ça changera… À part la grand-mère, elles laissent une assez mauvaises images, sans parler de la fantôme psychopathe du tome précédent… Je veux bien que l’on est des personnages très caricaturaux, mais de là à rabaisser autant l’un des deux genres c’est non. Les garçons, mêmes s’ils passent pour des idiots, ils restent sympas, les filles… elles donnent plus envies de fuir en fait.

The phantom busters are finally four. Now they’re looking for a room where they can carry out their secret activities. However, to get one, the small group must obtain the approval of Sorato, the president of the student union. Despite his skepticism, he still decides to trust the phantom Busters with a mission : if the boys manage to find the one behind the school’s broken window, he’ll let them promote their association.
Like in the first volume, Phantom Busters is a very light and enjoyable series, the story is slowly developing, the broken humor is still there and more characters are joining the adventure. I’m really surprise with how much I loved getting to know better the four friends and discovering the new characters like Sorato Ichimiya, the school student president or Ren Shishikuno, who work for Shishikuno clan.
In only two volumes the author got me completely hooked, the main story is so addictive and I can’t wait to read the third volume when it comes out.

Deuxième tome excellent, toujours très drôle. Chaque chapitre de ce tome 2 aborde une courte histoire, on est encore la découverte des personnages et de leur univers. En fait, ça m'a redonné le goût de revoir les films Ghostbusters. Il y a exactement ce mélange de personnages caricaturaux, le plus souvent dans la comédie absolue, mais qui font face à des risques et des fantômes réels. Ce qui ramène de l'avant les enjeux plus personnels de chacun des personnages (tous masculins, comme dans les films originaux, finalement!)
Une série qui peut être conseillée aux jeunes fans de manga: rien n'est gore ou explicite, malgré le thème des fantômes, on est dans le sombre léger. En fait, ceux qui font le plus peur viennent de la famille du personnage principal: son grand-père est vraiment détestable!

Now that the Phantom Busters have gained some group members, it's time for them to officially become a club at school. Other people may not believe in what they do and think they're just a bunch of occult fans who believe in paranormal nonsense. But to them, they're like a found family who have found each other. Other characters in the school are introduced, as well as family members to the main cast.
The development of the characters is a slow and steady progress. Nothing feels rushed, but goes at just the right pace and has its own conclusion at the end of each chapter. They're a lot of fun to read and just hang out with, with only minimal tension in a normally very high stakes world of ghost busting.

Some complications arrive here! An episodic volume. School council needs to approve their club. Parents meddling with kids wasting their time. An assassin? Sure, yeah, those are all perfectly normal. This had some good gags, not a whole lot of action this volume as much of it was school life shenanigans (that happened to involve spirits).

Truly a great manga! I really love all the characters and the general idea. It’s very fun to read and not too hard to comprehend in Japanese too. Love the random references to other manga and the unexpected BL fan service. Excited to even more from ファンバス！

They’re so silly. I’m having such a great time with this series. I love the characters and their designs. It’s got a good mix of comedy and action too. Idk what to expect from the overall plot, but I'm looking forward to it.

I remember seeing this all over my tiktok fyp (when I still had tiktok) and I was finally able to get myself a physical copy of the first 2 volumes. These guys are hilarious and so goofy, but they're just boys. I love the paranormal.

5 ⭐️ everytime i begin to forget that neo used to write narusasu doujinshi a line like “it looks like they stole a kiss” comes up in the next panel and i think that is VERY important for the overarching plot

Three things made this book 4 stars instead of 3.
