The Coalition is closing in on France, but Napoleon is not done yet!
As Christmas approaches, the first peaceful one in years. Wellington and his army celebrate from their Winter Quarters inside Southern France. Yet beneath the cheer, there is a quiet homesickness. An awareness that the war is not yet done. The enemy still waits for them across the Nive and stubbornly hold Bayonne, and to the North a beast has awakened. Napoleon does not mean to surrender. France and success
Well written book. Probably the best in the series. Everything comes together and achieves defeat of Marshall Soults army. The way to Paris is open. On to the next chapter.
