Plea was delightful
First, this is a short, no spoiler review. There is no reason to read a book of I tell you all the good stuff. Here is my overview: Venus knew Trevor wasn't ish, she was afraid to believe her own instincts. She knew her no feelings fiance' was a fraud. You will be surprised how much of a fraud. Then there was Carson. You will adore this man from his first appearance. He was the man to have on your side. Think about a famous wedding day exception... I loved this story. The two misfits were handled nicely... The Lawyer was nothing to play with in this story.

This was such a good feel good story. I loved Carson’s ol lover boy behind🥰It was love at first sight for them even though them being together wasn’t possible initially. I loved how the story unfolded and how they constantly found themselves drawn to each other. They had good chemistry and good energy and just an overall healthy dynamic (even if things did move fast). Lots of drama from their misguided exes but they navigated it together and I loved seeing them have each other’s back through the mess.
Also Zander is hilarious and I can’t WAIT to see what he got himself into in his own book.

I wasn’t expecting the ending to end so abruptly but overall good story. I just wish Zander’s book was already done. Now I wish I had waited to start the series.

Carson for the win 🏆
Venus and Carson was a delightful couple when they got together. The whole time I was reading this book, I was rooting for Venus to come to her senses when it came down to her fianće Trevor. Reading how Venus was consistently talking to Trevor about her feelings and him dismissing them made me believe that he was cheating on her…I just didn’t think it was with his best friend Adam and an escorting service. I’m glad she got rid of that dude and upgraded. F.Y.I., Trevor acted like a scorned female when Venus walked away from their big day…the aftermath was hilarious.
Anywho, Carson was my guy from the introduction. He wasn’t in a relationship with Asia old trifling tail, but he showed her so much respect and opted out of sleeping or talking to other women. Carson is a stand up guy. Asia on the other hand, that heffa is foul as cow poop. How you cheat on the best guy for a random pastor who was married and a random guy that could possibly be the father to your baby. Speaking of baby, she was dead wrong for how she played my guy Carson with that whole baby situation. She trifling, nasty, and a single mother…hahaha!!!!
Overall, I loved this book, minimal drama, problems solved quickly and not dragged on over a course of 5 chapters, and the characters and their developments throughout the story was well written.

This book could be read by itself, but there’s also two other books. If you are interested in the other characters, they talk about. They have books as well.

I really enjoyed this story from beginning to end. Carson is a true lover boy and he goes all in with any relationship or situationship and I really liked that about him. He didn’t come across as being disingenuous and seemed sincere even when dealing with Asia and knowing they were just having fun. When his path crosses with Venus, I knew they would eventually give in to their feelings for each other. They literally left each other stumbling over their words when they first met.
They both dealt with some unnecessary drama from their exes but they had each others back through it and I liked that for them. Carson and Venus had a natural and organic chemistry that allowed for them to immediately jump into a relationship once Venus walked away from Trevor.
Now I’m looking forward to seeing what type of trouble and shenanigans that Zander has gotten himself into.

Whew, chile! 😱 This book was good and messy! 📖🌪️ Carson and Venus felt an instant connection the first time they met, but both were in a relationship/situationship that kept them from acting on those feelings. 💘🚧 Carson knew who he wanted and applied a little, not a lot of pressure by letting Venus know how he felt. 💬 He and his potential👶🏾 baby mama had an understanding that they would be co-parents and nothing more. Venus tried to hold on to a shell of a relationship. 💔 Her fiancé was emotionally disconnected and had secrets. 🕵🏾♀Once Venus got fed up with how Trevor, her fiancé, was treating her, she left with Carson as her anchor. From their very first meeting, the chemistry between Carson and Venus was off the chart even though they were involved with other people. Every time they were in each other's presence, you could feel the heat coming from the pages. Venus was set to marry a man who didn't fulfill her wants and needs, but Carson kept coming for her hard which I loved. I knew that Trevor was trifling but didn't expect the secrets that came out about him. It was good to see that Kaos, Tristan and Zander (I can't wait for his book) showed up for Carson every step of the way. Venus was a lucky woman to find a man that gave her everything she needed. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and I highly recommend it!!

I need more of Tyler, because the way they use him as their secret weapon is hilarious!!!…

Such a good read
These lawyers are really out here Lawerying about these women of whom they find themselves falling in love with. Carson really was all gas no brakes about Venus. While she was giving her dedication to someone who didn’t deserve it, she deserve all her dedication. Carson deserve all her dedication, but she couldn’t see past given it to the right person. I’m really enjoying this series and I’m really excited to hear about Xander. I feel like that’s gonna be a great ending to the lawyers. I’m here for it. On another note. It is really imperative that we get proper visuals if you are describing thick thighs, and a fupa for a female and then provide a thin, small woman as a visual. I’m confused now we need proper visuals.

This story was good from the first page until the very end. It was easy for me to connect to the characters. Carson and Venus were hooottt together.🔥 I knew they had a love at first sight going on.
I love how they respected the prior relationships/situations they were involved in, which eventually had expiration dates.
Carson is the exception to all other baes. He goes the distance for the woman who has his heart. Venus deciding to choose herself was the climax of this story. Her ex., Trevor was never deserving of her and the proof comes like a thief in the night.

I've been waiting for Carson's story. I love everything about him. He was definitely the real ght man for Venus. And I knew before you told us, something was up with Trevor. I was thinking he and Asia had a thing, but nope. Read the book!!!

LOVED IT
This was a really good story from beginning to end. Carson and Venus were meant for each other. They had some drama with their significant others but it didnt stop their attraction towards each other. I loved their chemistry because it wasnt forced and they were able to be their authentic selves. Carson showed Venus how a man is supposed to be there for his woman no matter what. The families coming together solidified the union between Carson and Venus for the future. Great journey for these two. Can't wait for Zanders book.

This 4-book series is absolutely amazing, and Book 2, Plea, really stood out. It kept the momentum going flawlessly and added so much more depth to the overall story. I love how each character from the first book continues to show growth and reveal more layers—you truly get to know them as the series unfolds. The storytelling is engaging, emotional, and hard to put down. This is definitely a must-read series that keeps you invested from start to finish!

Talk about a mess. Venus stuck with Trevor way too long, just to find out he wasn’t about a thing. Carson got caught up with Asia trying to pin a baby on him, then blasted him on social media. So, when Venus and Carson met, it was a case of love at first site. I loved the way that they intentionally loved on each other. The book was well written, flowed well and was quite entertaining.

Keeps getting better
I can’t decide if book 2 or 3 is my favorite of the series. I love a man who knows what he wants and not afraid to express himself. Carson although a man’s man through and through, he’s also a man that can be and willing to be vulnerable. Most women I know aren’t afraid to be submissive when they know they are protected and safe in that submissiveness. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about these two. On to book 4.

Carson and Venus, they truly were meant to be together . I knew Asia and Trevor were up to no good. Venus had so many signs that Trevor wasn't for her, and Carson made or clear to Asia she was not his one.... Catson and Venus , both, had supportive family and friends. I loved the ending and looking forward to Zander story!

At first sight.
Trevor was playing with Venus from the beginning. There was no way in heck he didn't understand where she was coming from on all ins. I am so happy Carson checkmate his butt on many occasions.
The plot twist was not one I was expecting on many occasions and enjoyed how each were handled.

Great Read
This was everything I was waiting on and more. Carson and Venus were explosive together. Carson is a man's man. The way Carson took care of her and her him makes real love worth having. It was good to connect with Kaos, Tristan, and Zander again. I can't wait for Zander's book.

A Real Man
Wow, there were a few things I didn’t expect to happen in this book. What a journey. Venus and Carson were a match made in heaven. I was on edge reading about the day of her wedding to Trevor. Carson has a great crew of men that respect him and only want the best for him and I’m glad he listened to them. Another great read!

I LOVE the men of Montgomery, Pierce, Walker, and Gough law firm! Each book gets better and better. Ooowee I can’t wait for Zander’s story. Carson did not play about Venus aka Sunshine. Phenomenal!
Once again, B. Love, you have truly impressed me. The love story of Carson and Venus is beautiful. It is remarkable how a single, innocent encounter can profoundly alter one's entire life. I could genuinely sense the chemistry between these two characters as I read. How intense! I'm excitingly waiting for Zander's book. As always, it is a pleasure to read your books.
Once again, B. Love, you have truly impressed me. The love story of Carson and Venus is beautiful. It is remarkable how a single, innocent encounter can profoundly alter one's entire life. I could genuinely sense the chemistry between these two characters as I read. How intense! I'm excitingly waiting for Zander's book. As always, it is a pleasure to read your books.

Carson fell in love at first sight! I think Venus did too! She fought hard for her relationship with Trevor, only to find out in the end, he was a complete fraud, living on the downlow. Carson took control and fully pursued the woman he knew was his soulmate! I loved their chemistry and soul ties! These lawyers don't just win in court! They win in life! Love always prevails!

This book dropped so many gems about choosing a partner, how you should be treated, and ultimately choosing yourself. It addressed so many mistakes made by both women and men in dating. The ending seemed abrupt, which was the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.
