Had to DNF solely because of the grammar. Evidently neither the author nor the editor knows how to use an apostrophe. 🙄

I breezed through this one despite some slow points. The plot moves in three major acts. Part one introduces us to the three female leads, showing what each is experiencing in the present. All three receive an invitation to their twentieth high school reunion. None of these women are friends, but they have a strong connection to each other.

This comes out in part two which takes us back to their lives in high school, particularly the events of prom night. This is the slowest part of the novel. It could have been trimmed a bit, but it sets up part three.

Back to the present where everything rushes to a final confrontation related that that fateful prom night. Some suspension of disbelief is required, but for the most part the story wraps nicely. I especially liked the ending among the three women---enough to even change my opinion about one of them.

My only quibble: there are two minor (almost disposable) sentences that are left unresolved. I'm not sure why the author chose to toss them in, as this doesn't appear to be a series ,and 99.9% of the threads wrapped up tightly. Very odd.

A high school reunion invitation with no postmark or return address? None of the three classmates anticipated nor looked forward to attending. Yet why the mysterious invitation and suggestion for accommodations? Should they actually go back to the town that they left 20 years ago, shortly after graduation, and never looked back? Maybe the past and it's memories would be better left in the past. But with each one experiencing their own little crisis, maybe a weekend away would give them each a new perspective. Great read!

Good story with mostly believable characters.

I honestly wasn’t expecting to like it too much (I’m more of a sci-fi or horror fan), but I was pleasantly surprised.

My only real complaint was: how did no one KNOW the “bad guy”? I won’t give a spoiler; but I felt that that part was sort of hard to believe…. Or maybe I missed something... But you’d think at least one person should have recognized the bad person…

The Reunion tells the story of three women how come back to their twenty year high school reunion. They weren’t close friends in high school, but they share a secret. They room together in an old house just by themselves. Their lives have taken different journeys but are now reunited. The actual reunion does not go well and they are anxious to leave and go home. The story is very well done and keeps you in suspense. I will read more by this author.

Started out really strong. I was really into the characters’ stories in the beginning and the concept of the mystery was interesting, but I didn’t like how it all played out. I thought it going kind of boring and also the girls are so dumb. Like, you find out someone has sent you to a cabin in the woods for nefarious reasons and you’re like, “oh, we can make it for at least one night.” Why wouldn’t you leave immediately???

I was so interested in reading this book, and it was a fast, easy read. The storyline was good, but needed editing, especially on plural words that were mislabeled as possessive. That ‘s on words that were not possessive was such a disappointment to me with this book.

I wanted to enjoy this story. I tried reading and audio. I finished it but didnt enjoy it. It wasn't real organized or clear as it switched back and forth with memory and present. It had potential but the blurb about the book was better than the actual book.

If you are looking for an easy read while passing time, this is it. I was van in the hospital, bored, looking for something very light to read, and found this. An easy read, a. Lot of background before getting g to the pivotal point of the story, which wraps up quickly.

probably would’ve given this a 3.75 and rounded it up to a 4 for the story, but the proofreading alone is making me give this a 3. the poor grammar and editing was very distracting. apostrophes flying everywhere they don’t belong!!!!!!

DNF'ed at almost 30% as the punctuation and grammatical errors I spotted up to this point were so obvious and should've been corrected by the editor or WHOEVER, really, that they were bothering me so I just chose not to keep reading.

I was hesitant to read this book because I didn't know how it would end... and I was right...and not in a good way. I was soooooo bored. I was annoyed by the characters. I didn't think they clicked at all. I don't think the connection they had was enough to keep them working together, and the twist at the end was predictable. I am not one to predict what will happen in a book, but I could see it coming from a mile away. I was so let down, and I hated all the relationships. I'm not sure I would read anything else by this author or this book again, but I can always change my mind.
