Spin Room: From Rivals to Romance

Rate this book
Willow Bennett thrives on order; every detail of her campaign is polished to perfection, and every move is calculated with care. Her world is one of discipline and control, where victory is earned through precision. Then Jack Rees strides onto the stage. He is irreverent, reckless, and impossibly magnetic. He thrives on chaos, bending the rules, turning mistakes into triumphs. From the moment their eyes lock across the crowded kickoff rally, Willow knows she’s found her greatest rival, and perhaps the one man capable of shaking her foundations.

Their battle plays out not just between their candidates, but between them as well. In debate halls and late-night strategy sessions, in the quiet spaces between microphones and headlines, Willow and Jack clash with a fire that burns hotter than either expected. Every barb is matched with a sharper retort; every clever move countered in kind. Yet beneath the combat, tension coils, a pull they can’t explain and can’t seem to resist. What began as a rivalry teeters dangerously towards something far more intimate.

As the election draws closer, the stakes become higher. Their candidates demand loyalty, their teams demand results, and the city requires a winner. But in the quiet moments, on rain-slick streets, in stolen conversations, in the rare flashes of vulnerability, they begin to see each other not as opponents, but as people carrying wounds and dreams as fragile as their own. Each encounter blurs the line further, until Willow and Jack are left to wonder whether the actual battle is on the ballot, or in their own hearts.

In the end, only one truth is on a campaign trail that tests loyalties, demands sacrifices, and pushes them both to the edge, Willow Bennett and Jack Rees must decide how much of themselves they are willing to risk. Winning might change everything, but so could surrendering to the unexpected, undeniable force pulling them together.

I love to write historical fiction in the Thriller and Suspense genres. I've also enjoyed crime dramas and romcoms. I try to go where my imagination wants to take me, creating a blur between what is real and what is not, leaving the reader to make their own guesses. That is what I love the most.
