Mrs. Entwistle has been running ‘loose’ since she managed to escape the first showdown on Long Island…when it was determined that she was going to betray her coven…
Everyone has been searching for her since…especially the Kinkaids.
Word comes through that she’s back on Long Island…working with other dark mages to raise some literal hell…or at least an demon that will wreck havoc throughout the northeast if they aren’t stopped.
Liam Kinkaid (an lion shifter, as well as an Navy SEAL) has been overseeing the closing of the secret shifter base…when he’s told he’s needed for an urgent mission—tracking & stopping Mrs. Entwistle…and that he’ll be working with an FBI agent, with her own secrets.
Lina Goodwell…is an shifter…an lynx shifter & has no problems working with an lion shifter…
Though…neither planned for fate to step in…

I loved this book. I love this world…It’s always interesting to see these alpha males fall for their mates…women that won’t be wrapped in cotton…but women that stand shoulder to shoulder at times of trouble. I absolutely can’t wait for the next book in the series to see how the lion king himself falls…

FBI Agent Lina and SEAL Liam had just met in passing earlier, but Sam Kinkaid, Liam's Alpha and the Lion King, arranges for them to work as partners in tracking and neutralizing Mrs. Entwistle, who has returned to Long Island. Mrs. E is a witch whose specialty is demon summoning and is closely allied with the Venifucus. no spoilers here, but this book ties up some loose ends, shows the progression of Lina and Liam's relationship, brings in LOTS of characters from earlier stories and nods to Tesla and his history in the area. I really enjoyed the bonus epilogue too. It is a good story on its own but a familiarity with the Tales of the Were Universe, especially the Kincaid series, makes it even richer!
