Overtime Positions

Franchesca Frankie Blake’s life is a carefully balanced single mom, rink-side bartender, and secret late-night skater with two left feet. Romance? Not on the schedule. Especially not with the cocky, dominant, too-hot-for-their-own-good beer league boys who practically live at the rink.

At least, that’s what she tells herself—right up until a babysitter emergency drops her kids in the laps of Travis and Elliot.

Travis is a rugged carpenter who smells like sawdust and sin. Elliot is a golden-retriever firefighter who blushes when he’s turned on. They’re best friends, which makes her off-limits. But stolen glances spark into heated kisses, secret phone calls, and one night that turns into three tangled bodies and dangerously tempting more.

Now Frankie’s juggling bedtime stories, secret sleepovers, and two men who don’t know how to share—but aren’t willing to let her go.

But someone else is watching.
A stalker lurks in the shadows, leaving behind chilling reminders that her past isn’t as far behind as she thinks. And when obsession turns dangerous, Travis and Elliot might be the only thing standing between her and the threat she doesn’t dare name out loud.

She never planned to fall for either of them.
She definitely didn’t plan to fall for both.
And she never expected the biggest risk would be surviving it.

I’ve just had the honour of Beta reading this absolute bloody gem of a book.

I can’t stop thinking about Overtime Positions. Like……genuinely cannot form coherent thoughts about another book because this one has taken up permanent residence in my brain rent free. I devoured it in one sitting, and now I’m wandering around in a full blown book slump, staring at other romances like, “Sorry babes, you’ll never live up to this.” It’s addictive in the way your favorite midnight snack is, dangerous, messy, and impossible to stop once you start.

The chemistry in this book? Absolutely feral. Frankie, Eli, and Travis together are the ultimate chaotic trio, sparks flying, hearts racing, and enough tension to power a small city. Watching their relationships evolve is like strapping yourself into the wildest emotional rollercoaster imaginable: exhilarating highs, gasp-worthy drops, and a few sharp turns that will leave you clutching your Kindle and whispering “just one more chapter” at 3 am. Frankie herself is the kind of heroine I’d happily follow into battle, fierce, relatable, and juggling motherhood, love, and her own desires with equal parts sass and heart. I rooted for her so hard my soul practically sprained an ankle.

And let’s talk vibes, because this book nails them. The banter is razor sharp, the humor lands perfectly, and just when you’re laughing so hard you snort, the story sucker punches you with moments of real, gut wrenching emotion. The balance of spice, wit, and depth is chef’s kiss perfect. It’s not just a romance, it’s a full blown experience, one that leaves you both satisfied and desperate for more. Five stars doesn’t feel like enough. Honestly, if I could crawl inside this book and live there, I would.

This book surprised me in so many ways. It truly had everything — from drama and action to smut and love. I expected a lot of smut and very little plot, but it was so much more than that. The buildup of tension and the darker themes kept me hooked. So much growing love and so many relatable emotions the characters went through. This book is an absolute must-read for anyone who loves spice *with* plot.

Whoo! The chemistry between the three main characters was so good. Frankie is a fiercely independent single mom of two, Elliot is the golden retriever sunshine guy and his best friend Travis is the broody protective one. Both guys want something more with Frankie and since they're best friends, they know how to share. Frankie is hesitant at first but both guys show her how worthy of love she is. I loved how the relationship between Eli and Travis developed into a romantic one, both wanting more and taking their time to explore. Frankie's past comes rushing back, causing all sorts of trouble. Will they be able to overcome it all?

Dang this book was hot hot hot. Frankie is a single mom working hard for her kids but nothing left for anything else. Eli the hot golden retriever firefighter and his Best friend Travis who is a big broody construction god see her everytime . They are on the ice for their league. She has had a crush on both and one night they test that crush. Eli surprised me the most because he is so much sunshine but very alpha still. Travis is this steady rock and knows what he wants. Franke is a hot mess in the best way and just a mom who works too hard and who deserves 2 men that want her and desire her. Their is a dark element to this and that is her stalker who is a pos and to know the history she went through with him made me love Frankie and her spirit even more.
In true Ally this smut is hot like my lord take a break hot. I loved that this became a true poly book naturally. I like the inward and outward struggles of the guys feeling taboo feeling and being able to talk it through.
Once again ally started. great new series.

MMF… holy hotness

This will most definitely be a reread for me.

Tropes:
WHY CHOOSE
Yes sir vibes
Best friends to lovers (if you know you know 😉)
Golden retriever, SUNSHINE vibes
Grumpy bear turned softy for love

Frankie is wrote how I think every mom feels… guilty for not feeling like enough, and worried about everything. It was refreshing to read about someone mature but still trying to figure it out.

Elliot is the golden retriever, Sunshine, that you can just feel the joy from. He’s the one you want in your corner to lift your spirits. But, he has his own struggles and insecurities.

Travis is the big, tough, grumpy guy who crumbles by love. He’s the one who loves big and doesn’t care who knows it. He’s the one who will fight all of the battles for you.

The kids are freaking adorable and I loved reading about them, and their imperfectly kids self. I loved that they were wrote with how real kids behave; with joy and a little chaos.

Yes. Just yes. Read it.

This book will hit you in all the feels. It will gut you and then will put you back together again in the best ways.

Frankie her kids Emmie 6 tiny tot hockey player goalie & Toby 4 steal the show for me ❤️
Elliot “Sunshine” Torres firefighter
Travis “the saw” Hayes Carpenter
Beer league Hockey
Frankie’s first words that caught my attention, “she’s had no business looking at “the big, surly attack dog, or his golden retriever bestie.” Already had me hooked. Her being a bartender at the rink for the Beer League reminds me of younger days.
After her shift she tries to teach herself to skate to help Emmie her goalie daughter who plays for the tots. Travis catches her and tells her to get off the ice after she butt plants. When she refused, The way Travis just fireman carries her off the ice! Yes
Toby and Emmie are my new favorite kids in a book. Toby ““Swear jar!” He yelled like an official on the ice, complete with hand motions. “Two dollars for a four-letter word not starting with an F!””
Ohhhh and Toby getting stuck Inside a vending machine priceless.
The nicknames they give her, Eli calls her “Black cat” Travis calls her “Shade”. Shows true passion and forethought on how they see her.
The way A.M. McCoy writes is just amazing and so descriptive it’s like you’re in that moment. She can put you right into the situation and you just get sucked in. I couldn’t put this book down. I laughed a lot, cried a little, and dreamed of my own second chance.
Actions, actions over words is their own love language to her and the kids, and what most women want/need. These men show up and have this in spades. They see her in a way she didn’t think possible.
They know when something’s wrong. Will fight for her and her kids and always be there.
“Think of me when you kiss him goodnight.”
Thank you A.M. McCoy for giving us this book, and keeping the series going keep writing and drawing us into your words. Can not wait for book 2!

Think small town "Hallmark movie" but make it spicy AF with way more substance in plot and amazing characters that will make you swoon and hot all over. A.M. McCoy delivered a deliciously addictive story that had me eagerly devouring the pages. I was swooning, gasping, giggling, giddy with anticipation and excitement.

This book was the best kind of unexpected fun. Frankie, Travis, and Eli have my heart. These characters and their story will forever be living rent-free in my mind. The tension, chemistry, and banter are unmatched. I was not expecting the emotional ride I would go on along with them and I'm so happy I did. How they're relationship developed was perfection. I felt an instant connection to Frankie and that normally doesn't happen to me. She's the type of FMC I want to be BFFs with.

I don't think I've laughed and swooned so hard one moment then to be hit with big emotions the next.

I'd recommend this if you are in the mood for a very spicy MMF story about a carpenter as steadfast as the houses he builds, a firefighter that is outgoing and supportive, and a bartender whose past has made her independent and reserved.

Overall, I rate it 4.5⭐out of 5 based on the following: 🤩Enjoyment - 4.5; 👥Characters - 4; 📖Plot - 4; 🗺️Atmosphere - 4; and🖋️Writing - 4 with the first 3 categories being most important.

What worked for me:
• Travis's confidence and straightforward way of adjusting as the relationship evolves.
• Eli devotion to take care of others, even at his own expense
• Frankie learning how to trust that Travis and Eli will always be there for her and her kids.

I was lucky enough to receive an early copy of this book from the author; however, all opinions are my own.

I absolutely loved this book it had a good plot and good amount of spice. All of the main and even side characters have my heart and won’t let go they’re clutching it for dear life lmao. Anyway Frankie had my heart from the very first chapter Emmie and Toby (Frankie’s daughter and son) were a chaotic lovable mess I love how the author was able to portray the kids to not only be amazing kids but also have their chaotic moments as does happen with children. Most of the authors I’ve read I feel as though they try to not have the kids in the story much so they can write smut after smut scene but that’s not the case with this one I love how much the kids were involved with the story line. Normally while reading a why choose I always end up liking one of the guys more than the other but for this one they both absolutely stole my heart. The whole book was beautifully written I couldn’t put it down I’m pretty sure I only slept ab 5 hrs from the moment I started to finishing the book 🤣🤣

Holy. Moly. This book. A.M. McCoy does it again!

This is book 1 in a new series featuring Frankie, single mom with two feral kids (stars of the book hands down), Elliot, Mr sunshine firefighter, and Travis, a broody construction worker and their path to happily ever after. They all go through parts of self discovery and learning how strong they are individually and together.

Buckle up for a wild ride that has laughter, a little bit of thriller, and a whole lot of scorching hot scenes. You will not be disappointed.

Oh did I mention it takes place in a small town that is all about hockey? It has an adult beer league and a pee wee team that makes any one want more kids.

A.M. McCoy sure can deliver in the spicy romance category. Five stars.

This my very first ARC read and it was an amazing experience. Frankie and her children were so well written that I was ready to ride in to battle for them. Eli and Travis were swoon worthy in their steadfast loyalty to their found family. The spice was off the charts and I cannot wait to read the rest of the Cedar Bluff series.

This was a fun read! It had a little bit of all the good stuff - super cute and feral kids, beer hockey league (so fun!), mystery and intrigue, hot spice, hot locker room spice (!!), MCs that were all smoking hot individually and molten lava together, found family, and an unhinged ex. Never a dull moment with this one!

I loved that when Frankie, Eli, and Travis decided to do the damn thing they were all in from the jump. I loved how hard the two guys fought to prove to Frankie that they would be there 100% for her and the kids, fully invested. It allowed Frankie to lean into and accept what she wanted and needed. And those two guys were adorable and sweet with Emmie and Toby 🩵

I was lucky enough to get to advanced read this book and as always A.M. McCoy knocked it out of the park!

Frankie is a strong single mom doing everything she can to rise her two children well. Like all moms she thinks she’s not doing enough but she really is! She’s got a quick whit that is shared by her daughter.

She’s slinging beer at the local ice rink and is secretly crushing on two bar league hockey players best friends, Travis aka Saw and Eli aka Sunshine. However, her priority is her children and she doesn’t think she can have both love and be a good mom … she will learn she’s wrong. She can have both.

And yes, you guessed it, they’re crushing on her too. Neither wants to make a move because the bro-code says they can’t. They’re life long best friends and can’t see their way to breaking the code until they decide enough is enough and they’re both man enough to trip the old code and make it a new code and this new code says polyamory is on the table and they can share the girl.

To avoid spoiler alerts let’s just say this book is (in Ally’s words not mine) what results a hallmark movie meeting a lifetime thriller.

10/10 recommend.

What a book!

This was my first A.M. McCoy book, and what an introduction it was. This is also the spiciest book I have read this year!
In this story we have Frankie, our MFC, we join her in Cedar Bluff, her small home town, four years after she mysteriously returns with two children in tow and trying to keep it together. She is strong (as a single parent needs to be), fiesty, caring, and her kids come first… always.
Then we have Eli (aka Sunshine), MMC 1, he’s had a crush on Frankie since they were teenagers, he’s a fire fighter, total golden retriever, and lives up to his nickname.
Then we have Travis (aka Saw), MMC2, he’s also been attracted to Frankie since they were teenagers, he’s a carpenter running his own construction company, strong, reliable, Mr always in control, and gets pleasure from taking care of Frankie and Eli.
The character and relationship development is brilliant. The struggles Eli and Travis go through as they start their bi-awakening journey are tough, Frankie’s back story and reason she returned home is heartbreaking. This story will get your heart shattering and then put it back together, it was gripping, intense and heartwarming, a fantastic story and a must read.

All the Spice and an even better Story! 10/10!

A.M. has done it again with this book! She doesn’t disappoint! I DEVOURED it in one sitting! This book was so good, and I did not want it to end. It immediately became one of my all-time favorite reads. There was so much spice, and the mouths on the MMCs Travis and Eli—and the FMC Frankie, too—were 🥵. Frankie is a single mom, and is a survivor of DV. She has a hard time letting anyone in and trusting, but Travis and Eli break those walls down pretty quickly. I really enjoyed the relationship between Travis and Eli and their progression throughout the book. There was a mystery component that I wasn’t expecting, which led to Travis and Eli becoming super possessive of Frankie and her kids. The way Travis and Eli became essentially fathers to Frankie’s kids was such a sweet story. I loved every page. And the love story was 🔥. If don’t like books that are spice-heavy and has ⚔️, then this book isn’t for you. But if you love spice, this book is 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ while still having a really amazing plot.

Incredible!!! This book had me laughing to hot and bothered to emotional all in a few chapters. I couldn't put this book down. I read it in less than 48 hours. The character building and dynamics are AMAZING and beautifuly written. I have read other mmf books that the relationships really didn't make since but this book was nowhere near that. This book was raw and full of emotions. The way they all ended up together as a trio poly relationship was just so heartfelt and spicy. I had to stop reading the books at times because it was so HOTT.

Frankie is relatable to any single mom or woman who feels like they have to do everything by themselves. And if your a lover of blue collar men like me, then your in for a treat. The men were perfect and just incredible for her and two her. I love a good single mom story where the men step up for her and the children. This was my very first hokey romance, and I can't wait to read more of this series. A.M McCoy's knocked this out of the park.

I didn't know I needed this book until I started it... and now I can't imagine not reading it over and over and over again. The single mom in me started crying at 12% in... the hey there are things I want to explore but Im a mom part of me was rooting for them from the first kiss him goodnight... and the I want boyfriends who are boyfriends part of me was losing it from the first touch. I loved how self discovery was handled... how not throwing labels at it was necessary, just acceptance and growth and love. And while the third act tragedy broke the social worker in me, I loved how they banded together and the community loved them through it. Such a beautiful ride... especially the ride in the final epilogue ;)

Single mom with Feral kids

Frankie came back home 4 years ago after running way with her then boyfriend,, who turned into an abusive ex. And was able to get her and her two kids out.
She’s pulling her life together with the help of her mom, she’s going to college for her degree and working at the ice rink during beer league hockey ice time

Elliott is a town firefighter who is one of the beer league players, has has a crush on Frankie since she’s been bartending, but has made a move since Travis has liked her since they went to school together

Travis is a construction working, he builds the houses and structures around town. He’s like Frankie forever but she won’t let them in, until one day when she breaks at the rink during a shift

They work together helping her see they can take done if the burden from her dnd help her carry it. They support her answer kids emotionally and through the reappearance of someone oh her past.

As they start realizing they both like her, they put a small bet and winner is Frankie who gets to choose, but she doesn’t want to… so they share her in so many fun ways and end up realizing they like it when they “accidentally” touch too.

The past rears its head, in a way to make the police show up to the rink and separate her and her kids.
This past is also taken out in the most epic way and both Travis and Elliott save her along within the town.

This book has an FMC with some strong black cat energy to go along with her MAMA BEAR energy for her babies. She is a single mom working hard to build a better life for her babies. But has also built a wall around her heart so tall it takes a fireman who isn’t afraid of scaling buildings and an ex-marine who is afraid of blowing them up! Luckily these 2 FMC have been life long friends and know how to work together. Our FMC has run home to escape her past and to protect her kids she keeps head down and works/goes to school that’s it. She sees her daughter suffering in her youth hockey league due to lack of coach and who decides to step in and help our Marine! He sees she has the talent and he immediately says he is taking over. Then our fireman see that her son is a little on busy end like to create some chaos so what does he gives him something to refocus that attention on. They do all these things to show her she doesn’t have to carry the weight on her own. They know she comes as a package and they want the whole family!!!

As far as the individual adult relationship it really begins as a MFM dynamic and it works. But as they all begin to develop more feelings for one another and discuss what their comfort levels are the do make the move to MMF. It is explained very beautifully in this book a couple of times that there dynamics work for them, and those dynamics don’t need to be discussed or explained to anyone. And no one’s opinions but theirs matter. However they do face some backlash and turmoil from the FMC past.

I would give this book 4⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️&🌶️🌶️🌶️1/2

Easily one of my favorite books of the year.

Let it be know that A.M. McCoy knows how to write spice with the best of them. And it’s incredible. But the emotion that was packed into this book was phenomenal from the very first chapters.

The relationship between Elliot and Travis was so easy, smooth, and honest. You could feel the decades worth of friendship between them every time they were on the page together. The way that just knew each other on a different level was amazing. I love getting to know them separately and together as a unit fighting for Frankie.

Travis is a gentle giant, over protective, and willing to go to the ends of the world for the people that he considers his. Elliot is a hot shot, in your face, golden boy who loves to be the center of attention and make everyone laugh. And together they are the perfect partners for Frankie, and ultimately each other.

Frankie literally brought tears to my eyes so many times. Her vulnerability, her desire to make sure that her children were getting the best of the best even at the determent to herself, her sass and fire. The way she handled and maneuvered everyone around her, either the utmost ease was beyond impressive. But ultimately she just wanted to be loved, to lay down all her worries about life, and let someone shoulder the burden for her for just a little bit. And when she, Travis, and Elliot decide to give their relationship a go, I was so beyond happy for her.

The trials that the three of them have to go through does not diminish the way they are determined to learn to love each other. They talk so openly, honestly, and the vulnerabilities that they share shine through as they work as a unit to solve them.

Elliot and Travis navigating a new aspect of their relationship, and ultimately their lives, was so perfectly done. So honestly done. And Frankie being their every step of the way, encouraging them added a new level of spice to the book that really made it stand out.

This book blew me out of the water, it absolutely exceeded my expectations and was added to the top of my favorite books of the year. Excited to see what happens next in Cedar Bluff.

"Respectfully, Frankie’s kids were chaos wrapped in a feral raccoon layer of sticky energy. Maybe with all twenty of us guys on deck, we might be able to keep them out of trouble until the end of her shift. Maybe."

♡A hockey why-choose romance by A.M. McCoy YESSS PLEASE! This book was absolute perfection & I'm pretty sure I highlighted half of the book! Frankie is our spit fire single mom with 2 hilarious & wild children Emmie & Toby who stoled the spotlight multiple times! Then comes our 2 best friends Elliot & Travis. Elliot is our sunshine/golden retriever flirty firefighter! And last but certainly not least is Travis or grumpy & broody construction worker.

I started & finished this book in 1 day because I was so invested I couldn't put it down. The way A.M. portrayed motherhood/parenting in this book was so spot on & also hilarious! The plot was a masterpiece, the humor had me on tears from laughter, the spice just kept on giving, & the found family/healing aspect of this book was freaking everything my heart could want!♡

𝙃𝙤𝙡𝙮. 𝙁𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙞𝙣’. 𝙃𝙚𝙡𝙡.

Miss Ma’am. 𝗠𝗔’𝗔𝗠. I don’t even have the vocabulary to express how much I LOVE this book. Good god. This was a straight-up masterpiece. I laughed until my abs hurt, got all hot and bothered, had my heart sucker-punched and thrown on the ice, and then stitched back together in the softest, sweetest ways. The emotional rollercoaster? One of the best rides I’ve been on in ages.

The character dynamics? 𝗣𝗘𝗥-𝗙𝗘𝗖𝗧-𝗜𝗢𝗡.

My expectations for A. M. McCoy are always sky-high—because she’s fabulous every damn time—but this one? This one blew them into orbit. I devoured my beta read in under 48 hours, then reread the ARC because I genuinely could not put it down. Easily one of my Top Reads of the Year, no question. Ms. McCoy has absolutely outdone herself…yet again. Whew.

𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗲, 𝗘𝗹𝗶, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗶𝘀 – 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 – 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁-𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗺𝘆 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱. 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿.

𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗲 turned out to be one of my absolute favorite heroines ever. She’s that rare mix of feral black cat energy with full MAMA BEAR fierceness. A single mom busting her rear to build a better life for her babies, wrapped in walls of sass and survival. From the moment she muttered that she had no business eyeing “the big, surly attack dog, or his golden retriever bestie,” I knew she was my girl. Her gig as a bartender for the Beer League? Chef’s kiss. And her kids—Toby and Emmie—are peak adorable chaos. They had me crying laughing. DEAD. 🤣

𝗘𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝘁 “Eli” (aka Sunshine) is a true golden retriever hero in human firefighter form. And not the half-hearted kind—this man is the gold standard. Sweet. Loyal. Protective. A full-on hero complex in the most delicious way.
Drool-worthy? YES.
Have I ever read a better golden retriever MMC? Absolutely not. This is literally the best Golden Retriever I’ve had the pleasure to read and I wanted to full-on squeeze him (and climb him like a tree) on repeat.

𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗶𝘀 “The Saw” is Eli’s opposite: grumpy, growly, steady…the quietly dominant carpenter with a soft spot for Frankie, her kids, and Eli. And the mouth on this man? The way he comes through in a quietly strong, dominant way with the absolute filthiest mouth? I. AM. DECEASED.
MA’AM.
Just bury me.
His dynamic with Eli—decades-deep besties who somehow make each other better? Already fantastic.
But when they both fall for the same woman…
…and start realizing things about themselves?
Melt me like ice in a hot shower.

And listen. The SPICE?! 𝙏𝙃𝙀. 𝙎𝙋𝙄𝘾𝙀. It gave absolutely EVERYTHING it needed to give. This book is the gold medal of why-choose heat. It blends intensity with emotional honesty, discovery with comfort, passion with tenderness. It gives high spice while still giving depth and care and character growth. The bi-awakening arc? BEAUTIFULLY done. The support. The safety. The intensity. The softness threaded through the heat. These three TOGETHER?! I’m OBSESSED. And yes — jaw dropped, toes curled, kicking my feet, fully feral, racing to the next page just to see what happened next. Delicious. Absolutely delicious.

First and foremost, holy freakin smokes! You want a book that is going to spark a little sumtin, sumtin, this is the read for you. OTP is a MMF hockey romance featuring a single black cat mom and two very different guys that she falls for. Check your trigger warnings before reading, some topic on and off page.

Frankie is your average Mom, doing her best with what she’s got, and truly what she has are two very wonderful children that know they are loved and a support system she doesn’t even know she had. After returning to her hometown after years away, she is finally getting her life back to where she and her kids feel safe. And safe is the hockey rink with the beer league and her regulars. Enter Elliot and Travis.

Elliot is a golden retriever, with a nickname like Sunshine how could he not be. He’s giddy and upbeat, always willing to help others and spread a little joy. He’s a firefighter with a hero complex, but what firefighter doesn’t have one of those. But like every person, he too has his own struggles and with the help of Travis and Frankie, those struggles just might not be so bad.

Travis is the grumpy silent type. He’s big and broad, and tougher than anyone, he hides his emotions well and always seems to know just what to say when the people around him need him. He is a protector to his core and loves to work with his hands, so as a contractor that works well for him.

Together this trio makes a new family, but with every family there are growing pains. Not to mention a terror from Frankie’s past makes a reappearance, one that will take all of them together to face, and beat.

What a freaking book this was! This isn’t some soft afternoon read friends, this is emotion, this is spice, this is love. Frankie, Elliot and Travis’ journey isn’t an easy one, each of them has their own insecurities, and even more so as a group, they have to keep constant open communication, they are all learning how to be together. The depth between Travis and Elliot was probably one of my favorite parts of this book, the vulnerabilities they each have, but their willingness to open up to one another with Frankie as their conduit was simply breathtaking. There is much emotional baggage from all three of the throuple throughout the book, but it is well paced and the storyline flows unbelievably well. As always with this author, you can count on the best spice there is, and that holds true with OTP as well. I am very much looking forward to the rest of this series!

Masterpiece! This book had me laughing so hard I snorted at times, then would have me all hot and bothered… and then would turn again and my heart would drop to the floor.. The emotional rollercoaster was one of the best rides I’ve been on in forever! The character build and dynamics are PERFECT!!
I was hooked from page 1 and finished this book in less than 48 hours because I did NOT want to put it down… home and life responsibilities? Nope. Didn’t matter to me when this gem of a book was in my hands! Overtime Positions will forever live in my head! Frankie, Eli, and Travis are the perfect trio!

I guess I’ll actually tell you a little about the book now instead of just freaking out in my head again about how perfect it is!

Frankie is a single mom of two hell raising kiddos, and thinks she has to do it all on her own. She holds the weight of the world on her shoulders. Stubborn to a fault, sarcastic black cat attitude and knows how to banter with the best when it comes to being a bartender at a hockey rink that fills up with grown men on a hockey beer league who love to dish out all the BS. And when two of those beer league hockey-playing best friends finally decide to stop staring from a distance and make a move because they realized she deserved the world, the sparks they strike could melt the hockey rink! This book gives you laugh out loud moments, kid chaos, swoony firefighter and construction-king charm, and enough spice to make you want to go buy a new adult tentacle toy to play with 🐙😉 But when Frankie’s dangerous past comes crashing back the tension skyrockets and you FEEL every heartbeat right along with her.

It’s emotional, steamy, and unexpectedly wholesome! This book is a total standout that keeps you hooked from the first puck drop to the final page.

Overtime Positions by A. M. McCoy is a hockey romance novel following Frankie, Travis, and Elliot as they navigate their growing feelings, life, work, and kids, with a few twists and turns along the way. There is a lot packed into this story!

I liked this book, from the characters to the plot. The main characters are all different, but those differences are what make them a good team. From Frankie's sarcasm, and Elliot's smooth-talking ways, to Travis's stoic calm, the three of them balance each other beautifully. I did find the way the kids were written a little unbelievable, with language too advance for their age, such as long, grammatically complex sentences. However, that doesn't mean the kids aren't amusing, adorable little bundles of chaos! The plot also felt rushed at times, with changes that had little build up, whereas seeing that progression would have been interesting and enhanced the story. If I had to pick a favorite, I truly enjoyed the character Travis, who was a great example of being masculine without being toxic, and being steadfast without being rigid. Although, who doesn't love a dirty talking, golden retriever firefighter like Elliot?

Overall I liked the characters and the plot, and would recommend to fans of hockey romances with grumpy x sunshine tropes. Check lists before reading, as always, for any tropes or plot points you would rather avoid. This book does have a couple plot points that could be upsetting to some.
