Cindy

Rate this book
Cindy only wanted a future in forensic pathology—a life among the dead, not as one of them. But when a winter trip to a remote mountain cabin turns violent, friendship curdles into betrayal and blood. Struck down by her closest companion, her life ends beneath the flicker of firelight and the scent of antiseptic steel.

Yet death is only the beginning.

From the wreckage of her body, something unnatural awakens—an unholy fusion of flesh and fury. Cindy’s dissected remains rise, her very organs reborn into a grotesque, vengeful form. Driven by rage and the memory of those who wronged her, she returns to bring vengeance to the guilty—and ruin to anyone who stands in her way.

As fire consumes the night and the forest trembles under her wrath, Cindy becomes something far beyond human—a creation of grief, violence, and unrelenting vengeance.

A chilling tale of death, desecration, and dark rebirth—Cindy is the price of betrayal written in blood.

Content This work contains depictions of violence, murder, bodily mutilation, and death. It also explores psychological trauma, betrayal, vengeance, and supernatural resurrection.

I'm giving four stars simply because this book is WILD. A bit of body horror, uh even though there's really no "body". A bit cult horror. A bit revenge horror. It's gruesome with just a smidgen of comedy to lighten it up.
A fast paced surreal read that'll have you wondering what in the world you are reading. I loved it. It kept me entertained that's for sure!
It's set at Christmas time so if you're looking to build a Christmas TBR, add this one you won't be disappointed.
