ARDEN
The fantasies I conjure up in my head were my only solace during the darkest times in my life. I escaped into them and built my dreams within places that only exist in my mind. While I no longer have to hide from my life, I can still get lost in my head.

My past has taught me to keep my distance from most men, not that I was ever interested in them. There’s only one man who ever made me look twice. Ford Conners has the weight of his family legacy on his shoulders, and I can’t help but wonder how long he’ll be able carry it. That’s why I started writing him letters.

‘Dear Cowboy’ is how I greet him in my letters, but I have no idea what to say when we’re face to face. When the world shifts and he sees me, he doesn’t look away. And he starts asking questions while watching me, the pieces of who I am falling into place. I shared my dreams with him without knowing if he would ever become more than a mailbox on a dirt road. He sweeps me off my feet, steals my heart, and offers me wishes like they’re raindrops, but can I trust him?

FORD
I’ve been waiting for something more than the land and my ranch. I’ve been waiting for something special, for a moment that can’t be denied and a feeling of rightness in my gut. It feels like I’ve been waiting my entire life; every time I’m about to give up, or give in, a letter shows up addressed to me.

While I’ve been waiting, I kept myself busy. I’ve grown my family’s ranch with a single-minded focus without realizing how money would infect my family and tear us apart. Now, they’ve left me to take care of the land while they reap the rewards. I can’t help but wonder what is left for me and if what I’m waiting for will ever show up.

Then I cross paths with Arden, and I can’t believe I never noticed her before. Now, she’s all I can see. The more I watch her, the more things click into place. When I figure out why it feels like I know her, it becomes another reason to claim her as mine. She wrote her dreams on my heart and now I’m going to make them her reality.

*18+. If you like alpha heroes and an insta-love story that is sweet and spicy but isn’t necessarily simple, then this is for you. No cheating with a guaranteed HEA. This is the second book set in Seneca Falls, Nevada. Expect Seneca Falls and the Watts family to become its own series.*

Ember Davis loves alpha heroes with a range of emotions, but a strong sense of how to take care of their women. She loves her heroines from all walks of life, just like her heroes, and she wants them to be real and relatable. Her heroines tend to be sassy, opinionated and smart.

Ember is a stay at home mom of two who recently refound her love of books and all things romance and is so glad that she did. She’s always been creative, but writing and creating stories that she would love to read satisfies the dreams she had as a little girl. She loves butterflies, the color purple and enjoying time with her family.

Pssst, it’s totally a pen name, but everything above is 100% true.

Dear Cowboy de Ember Davis

Argumento:

ARDEN

Mientras esperaba, me mantuve ocupada.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ So good—tender, emotional, and beautifully written

I absolutely loved Dear Cowboy. The letter-writing element was heartfelt and intimate, and the emotional connection between Arden and Ford felt genuine from the very beginning.

Arden’s inner world is written with so much care—her use of fantasy as both protection and hope was touching and relatable. Watching her slowly trust Ford, both through the letters and in real life, was incredibly satisfying. Ford is steady, patient, and quietly devoted in a way that makes him impossible not to love.

His mom, though? Truly awful. She added just the right amount of tension and frustration to the story. On the flip side, I loved Arden’s mom—supportive, warm, and exactly the kind of presence Arden needed. That contrast made the emotional stakes even stronger.

The romance is soft but powerful, with moments that made my heart ache in the best way. This book is about being seen, choosing vulnerability, and turning dreams into something real—and it does all of that beautifully.

Highly recommend for anyone who loves emotional cowboy romances, letter-writing tropes, and heroes who prove love through actions, not just words. 💌🤠.

Dear Cowboy is part of the multi author series Naughty Notes. Ember delivers again, giving us an instalove with feeling.

I'm loving the idea of naughty notes, and while the notes/ letters in this aren't naughty in the way the series implies. It's cheeky in the sense that the MMC receiving them had no clue who their from, but it's fully invested in them and his sunflower.

Beautifully written, fast paced with two amazing main characters (Arden and Ford) who you'll connect with straight away, and just want to root for to succeed.

What to expect
🤠 Cowboy Romance
🤠 Secret Admirer
🤠 Pet Names
🤠 Love Notes / One Way Pen Pal
🤠 Interconnected Standalone
🤠 Interlinking Characters (Unthankful Eliza and Kendrick)
🤠 Prequel to Seneca Falls
🤠 Dual POV
🤠 Steamy Scenes
🤠 Pure Love
🤠 Dual Virgins
🤠 Mild Angst
🤠 5 Star Read
🤠 HEAs

Fantastic read from Ember, everything of hers I've read has been brilliant so I expected nothing less for Dear Cowboy. I'm excited for what else we're going to see in Seneca Falls, I can't wait.

This story takes place in the late 1980s, but it’s timeless. Arden sends anonymous letters to Ford, her Cowboy, the rancher she has quietly fallen in love with, and he falls in love with her. They are first loves and eternal loves and I bet they make a great matriarch and patriarch of their future family. It’s a rancher’s tale, it’s a small town tale, and it’s about connections. Connections with the land, and connections with others. There’s a question as to whether some of these connections with side characters are healthy, and if it’s possible to make the relationship healthy. I liked when Arden was brave after Ford wrote her the note. And I liked how Ford stood up for Arden (and then announced that he was going to marry her. Before they even talked about it). It had some heat, and double v-cards, which made for a very sweet first time for them to experience together. It’s a lovely story, and a nice place to start reading Ember Davis if you haven’t discovered her already.
No cheating.

I loved all the emotions and healing that were shown in this book! Especially from Ford aka Cowboy, his healing journey and the emotions he displayed was so nice to see. We first met him in Kendrick and Eliza’s story, and I really like how their relationship with both Ford and Arden turned out in this one. I wasn’t sure how I felt about Ford at first, I wanted to shake him and have him grow a back bone many times. But Arden, aka Sunflower, really helped him find his courage and confidence. Grief and trauma can do weird things to a person, but Arden and Ford really helped each other heal through love and supporting each other. I loved the letter aspect, it was so sweet and well done. Really hoping we get a book for Crystal and that she had a good reason for everything she did and turns herself around. No cheating or OM/OW drama, double virgins, dual POV, lite breeding kink?, HEA and two epilogues in the future. I’m looking forward to Everton’s book, even though I can’t really see how the boy turned into the man in the book description. Should be an interesting one!

**Heartfelt!**

"Dear Cowboy" by Ember Davis is the fifth book in the fun, multi-author Naughty Notes series, and let me tell you, it really tugged at my heartstrings! I absolutely love how Arden takes the time to write letters by hand and signs them with just a little sunflower. She’s had feelings for Ford for years but didn’t know how to express them—until she started writing to him!

Over the past year, Ford has been eagerly anticipating those letters from his sunflower. It’s like Arden has a sixth sense; she knows just when to send them, especially when he needs a pick-me-up. Their emotional connection is so genuine! They both open up and let their guards down, which makes their relationship feel so real and relatable.

The slow-burning romance between Ford and Arden is such a delightful read; it’s the perfect way to relax and unwind after a long day. You’ll definitely want to check it out!

The cowboy gets his Sunflower

Dear Cowboy by Ember Davis is part of the multi-author Naughty Notes series. I loved this delicious and lush story about Arden and Ford. Arden has never really been interested in men because she grew up with an abusive father. But she has loved Ford for what seems like forever, never knowing quite how to deal with. Ford took over the family ranch when his father died. He is always busy, always stressed, barely keeping his head above water, and has no time to date. When hard times hit Ford anonymous letters arrive that keep him going. They start with Dear Cowboy and end with a sunflower sticker. When her friend decides to play matchmaker by inviting them both to dinner will it be the start of something wonderful or will it end with heartburn and tears. My money is on something new and wonderful this Valentine's Day.

This book is a part of the Naughty Notes series and focuses on Ford and Arden. Ford has taken over his family’s ranch after the death of his father and is trying to keep his head above water. When he starts to receive anonymous letters, he starts to realize that he is missing something in life. Arden has wanted Ford for a while but didn’t know how to express herself so she started writing him letters and signing off on them as Sunflower. It takes a little push from friends for things to start to come together but eventually they both end up going for what they want in life. I absolutely loved this story and the pure emotion behind it. This was a great story and a great addition to the series.

"Dear Cowboy" is a definite must-read!

Every time I pick up a book by this author, I know it's going to be a great experience, and I wasn't disappointed. This book was such a pleasure to read.

Arden and Ford had me smiling, laughing, and absolutely giddy throughout this book. To say I got emotional when Ford read the letters from Arden is putting it mildly. He deserved so much love and happiness, not the grief he received when it came to dealing with his mom and sister.

I loved how Ford and Arden loved each other. Their love was so raw, honest, sensual, sweet, and very beautiful. I was over the moon when they got their HEA. This book was so worth reading. I can't recommend it enough. You will not be disappointed.

After the passing of his father Ford has felt alone on the family ranch. The one bright spot are the anonymous letters he has been received however now he is conflicted as when he finally sees Arden he can’t deny his feelings for her but he also believes he is in love with the woman who is writing him letters.

Due to her past Arden isn’t sure if she will ever be able to let a man close so instead she watches Ford from afar and expresses the depth of the emotions she has for him through letters. When the truth is revealed she must decide if she is willing to believe in the love and future they could have together.

The letters that Ford and Arden exchanged were touching and gave them the courage to go after what they wanted which was each other.

This was such a sweet and romantic instalove story (and kind of slow burn😉)and had an absolute fabulous HEA😍 Ford is the heir to the family ranch and he lives for this life. But his mother and sister make his life complicated and lonely. Everything changes when he gets the first letter from his mysterious Sunflower. Arden saw Ford and fell instantly for the hot and kind of sad cowboy. Now after a year of letters they finally meet officially and Ford falls hard for Arden, but what about his Sunflower 😉 Romantic , sweet, bittersweet(his past and her past with their family) , a J/P obsessed cowboy , first and forever love, totally safe (they were both their One and Only 😍) with an awesome HEA 😍😍😍😍😍

This book is part of a multi author series called Naughty Notes. Tropes: cowboy, unsigned letters, secret admirer, and dual virgins. Ford lives alone on his family's ranch and for a year he has been receiving letters unsigned. Arden has had feelings for Ford for years and started writing him letters to let him know he wasn't alone. I loved both characters. Just wanted to hug both of them. Ember Davis has a way of writing characters that mean something to you. Makes you feel all kinds of emotions. Great story.

This was perfect…from the plot to the writing to the amazing main characters. There were so many sweet moments, be it in written form or in person, and my heart melted like a chocolate bar that’s left for too long in the sun, at each and every confession of love from Ford’s point of view.

Similarly, Arden courageously took the first step to bring them together and I loved how the letters were weaved beautifully into the plot. This was another amazing book from the author and is guaranteed to pull you out of the boring, mundane moments of daily life, as we dream of romantic heroes like Ford.

Arden has been writing Ford letters but never signing her name just a sunflower sticker. They are invited over to dinner to their friend's house. How is suppose to keep it together while in the same room as him and keep her secret. She has been in love with Ford forever. Ford has taken over the family farm after his father's passing and his mom and sister are high maintenance to say it mildly. Arden agrees to go some dates with Ford but she says some things that has Ford thinking that she could be his secret letter writer. Will she fess up and will he be okay with it?.

'The more I watch her, the more things click into place. When I figure out why it feels like I know her, it becomes another reason to claim her as mine. She wrote her dreams on my heart and now I’m going to make them her reality.'

The characters drove the storyline and they were so very appealing and complex and complicated and absolutely perfect together. Plot was intriguing and well paced. World building was excellent and solidly drawn. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend

Arden starts writing letters to Ford anonymously, at a time when he needs it the most. The weight of his legacy is bearing down on him, there has to more than just the ranch and land. He starts to fall in love with her reading her letters.

One day he crosses paths with Arden, he feels like he should know her. The more times he comes in contact the great that feeling grows. When her words on paper match some of what she says, he realizes they may be the same girl.

This is a very sweet and steamy read, looking forward to more from the Seneca Falls world.

Ford and Arden's journey of love is a sweet one, and I loved every delicious page. Ford took over the family ranch after his dad passed away, and he hasn't had time for anything else. Arden has been crushing on Ford for as long as she can remember, and decides to secretly send him letters. Anonymous love letters that turned into a beautiful love story. This is a sweet, heartwarming love story with believable characters who had me cheering them on to get their happily ever after. Dear Cowboy is a wonderful addition to the multi-author Naught Notes series, and I look forward to reading the rest of the series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

I loved the way the romance develops through letters. Arden writes to Ford without him knowing it’s her, and their connection grows from a distance before turning into something real and deeply meaningful. Once Ford realizes that Arden is the one behind the letters, they are both willing to do anything for each other.

Their love is gentle yet strong, and I found myself completely invested in their journey. You truly root for them and hope their dreams come true. A beautiful, emotional read that left me wanting more.

Be brave my Sunflower...

It was just one letter....

A birthday letter.....

That became many, many letters.....

Can Ford convince Arden to write him letters until they are old and grey?

I love this prequel to the upcoming series, it is awesome to know the background before we become part of the family. Ford and Arden are fantastic, strong characters - I love that Ford doesn't hesitate to defend her and banish the vile viper from their life.....hopefully it's a long and happy life that we get to catch up with when we get the "kids" stories.
A fantastic read on Kindle Unlimited.

I really, really liked Arden and Ford and I really liked seeing them come together. I liked getting to know them and seeing them connect through her letters. I wanted to hug them both reading this and I really wanted Ford to stand up for himself, even thought it would hurt him to do so. I also liked the support they had from those around them who cared about them, and seeing them be brave and go after what they wanted, what would make them happy.

These two couldn’t be any cuter! Does who took over running the family ranch when his dad died and hasn’t had time to date nor really the want to. Arden who has guarded herself from men due to her dad being abusive to her mom. Arden starts writing these letters to Ford first on his birthday which is Valentine’s Day and then continues on and they are brought together in a little matchmaking attempt by her best friend and theming just develop for there. Such a sweet story, quick read too!.

Arden works at the local post office and decides to send Ford letters. Especially one for his birthday, which falls on Valentine's Day. She has had a crush on him for years and sees his sadness. Sending letters anonymously makes him happy and he is falling for the woman behind the pen.

When he meets Arden, he has no clue she is also his secret letter woman and is feeling torn. When he figures out it is her, he is thrilled.

The journey they embark on is challenging but in the end worth it.

This is a sweet story about love, Valentine's Day and the power of the written word. Our Cowboy is at a crossroads in life - pain, disillusionment and the heavy weight of responsibility are taking their toll. He starts receiving letters from Sunflower, an unknown woman whose writing makes everything a little bit lighter. A chance meeting with Arden makes him question if she could perhaps be his mysterious author. A really good book !!!

This is a heart melting live story. Arden and Ford share a connection that slowly builds trust. The letters are so well written and bring such depth and beauty to this book. The mothers are so drastically opposite that it draws you in even further to the characters and where their feelings and uncertainties come from. I absolutely loved this book. My heart loved this story so much! First of all, Ford and Arden are so incredibly likable and you absolutely fall in love with them both. Their love story is so romantic and precious, but don't worry things heat up too 😘. Then, there is the relationship with Ford and his family and Arden and hers. Very different families. Very different relationships. Wonderful examples of loving your family, struggling to find boundaries and ultimately doing what is best. Such a good story.

Falling in love is timeless! And this story put a uniquely wonderful spin on falling! Arden is a writer so it only seems natural that letters are comfortable for her. The best way to express her feelings. Ford is living life based on his family legacy but he’s beginning to feel like something’s missing…
I was looking forward to Fords story after meeting him in Unthankful. I was on the edge of my seat and flipping pages faster and faster. Highly recommend!

This multi-author series has some great stories with interesting plots. The letters arrived addressed to Cowboy, and when Ford read them, he began to fall in love with his Sunflower. But when he met Arden, he started to feel something for her; there was some confusion in his thoughts. But Arden's words led him to realize that she was his true Sunflower, and finally, they were able to be together and have the happiness they deserved.
