Excuse me??? The author who usually writes cozy contemporary said, "let me have intrusive thoughts for 106 pages" and absolutely DELIVERED!!!

This novella gets straight to the point - fast, filthy, and zero wasted time. From the first chapter it knows exactly what it is and commits fully to the voyeur dynamic.

Grey and Logan together? Sweetest, filthiest chaos. The tension builds quickly, but what really worked for me was the balance between heat and emotional pull. For such a short book, it somehow manages to hit multiple beats without feeling rushed.

And listen…
“I want to give you some instructions”
“Good girl”… AND good boy energy??
“CRAWL TO ME”
I was unwell...

The praise elements were absolutely the standout for me (shocking no one), and the dynamic between the two MMCs felt playful, intense, and oddly soft underneath the heat - which made the whole thing land even better.

Content note: brief mention of past childhood SA in backstory (not on page, no graphic detail).

For a 106-page novella, the emotional and physical tension packed into this was honestly impressive. I was fully kicking my feet and making hehehe faces at this book more times than I care to admit.

If you like:
- voyeurism
- fast, high-heat novellas
- MM tension with soft edges
…this one is absolutely worth the hour it takes to devour.

Perfect palate cleanser energy. And yes... I NEED this author to keep letting the intrusive thoughts win!!!! *Chants* MORE! MORE! MORE! MORE!

If you’re looking for a novella that grabs you by the collar and whispers oh, we’re doing this now, this little firecracker delivers. Logan and Grey have clearly been orbiting each other for years - weekly dinners and drinks - but all it takes one accidental, pulse-spiking moment for everything to detonate.

When Grey walks in on Logan with a woman, the scene isn’t just awkward—it’s the emotional equivalent of an earthquake. That split second where Grey freezes, Logan locks eyes with him, and something unnamed but undeniable surges between them? That is the moment this novella sinks its hooks in. It’s not about the voyeurism itself—it’s about the sudden, blinding clarity. You can practically hear the crack of their professional facade in real time.

Victoria does an incredible job balancing heat with heart. The chemistry between Logan and Grey simmers in every look, every half-finished sentence, every moment they try (and fail) to go back to normal. Their dynamic is messy in the best way—charged, vulnerable, and threaded with years of unspoken…something. When they finally confront what that moment revealed, it’s deeply satisfying. We also get a heartbreaking glimpse into Grey’s traumatic upbringing.

Short, sharp, and sexy, this novella is perfect for readers who love:

• Best friends-to-lovers
• Slow-burn tension that ignites instantly
• Voyeuristic sparks that flip everything upside down
• Characters who feel too much and try to hide all of it

If you enjoy your romances with emotional ache, razor-edge tension, and a whole lot of heat just beneath the surface, Logan and Grey’s story is absolutely worth every single star.

Watching is a quick read that packs a seriously spicy punch. It’s intensely hot while still holding emotional depth, and Victoria Timms nails the balance between explicit kink and a genuine healing journey. This book is unapologetically sexual in powerful ways, and I was blown away by how well it works.

Grey and Logan? Yes. YES. 🥵
Their dynamic is addictive, angsty, and impossible to put down. The voyeurism is written so well that you’re right there with them — Grey is going to watch, Logan is going to like it… and so will you.

It’s short, fast, spicy, and ends with a satisfying HEA. If you love MM romance with heavy kink and emotional payoff, I absolutely recommend Watching.

I received a free copy of this publication for the purpose of review.

TW
*Sexual assault and rape (not on page, described by character)

Logan has sex with people, men and women, but he does not care about them. They are a means to an end. That is, until his best friend Grey walks in on him with his newest conquest and...stays? For some reason that gets him off, and it seems to get Grey off too. Logan isn't sure yet what that means for their relationship, but he's sure he wants it to happen again.

Watching is definitely an MM erotica/romance (I waffle between the two for this one because the sex scenes are a big driver). There are scenes that involve women but they are never the focus, either in the narrative or by Logan and Grey. I really liked seeing voyeurism used as a way to explore intimacy without involving physical contact. I've never read a book with voyeurism so that was a really interesting perspective that I'd never really experienced before. Grey seemed to enjoy the watching for watching's sake, but it was also a way to experience closeness without touching.

I don't typically read novellas, and I think almost all of my gripes (admittedly very small gripes) are features not bugs. There's a lot of ground to cover in only 100 pages so things have to move fast! I do like that there's an established history between Grey and Logan, so it doesn't feel like insta-love even though I would have liked to see more of their relationship before the start of the novella.

Like I mentioned before, the sex scenes sometimes include women but they aren't very important to the scenes they're in. The more descriptive sex scenes are the ones with just Logan and Grey. It's not quite what I'd call D/s, but Grey does like taking control and telling Logan what to do. If you're a fan of men telling each other to please themselves this is gonna be right up your alley.

Ended up not being my typical type of read, but I quite enjoyed it! Being novella length it was a very quick read (it took me roughly 1.5 hours from start to finish), so perfect for a long lunch break if you can handle the heat while you eat. Thank you very much to Victoria for a chance to read and review this early.

Watching is a quick read that packs a spicy punch.

It is incredibly hot while also holding some emotional depth to it. Victoria Timms has done a remarkable job at balancing explicit scenes with a healing journey. This book is packed with kink and sexuality in a very powerful way.

This is a little, kinky, smutty, best-friends to lovers, MM romance. It drags you right in and you’ll read this in one sitting. But it’s not only smutty, it has some depth to it including one MMC on his healing journey.
This has the potential to be a full length romance book in my opinion.

HOTTT!!! Love this sexier darker tale by Timms! Yum. Gobbled it up in one sitting.
I love that, on top of the sexy, Timms takes care to REALLY work through consent and past trauma. Loved these little assholes too :)

A fine enough short story, just not really for me and some themes are kinda forced out. An unnatural progression. But a sweet ending though.

4.5⭐️ 3🌶

This was a fun high heat novella. I loved that it captured my attention from the start. Grey and Logan have some delicious tension, sizzling chemistry and an emotional pull that had me. I enjoyed their dynamic and the development and growth of their relationship. Logan and Grey start out as friends so their growth as a couple it felt like a more natural dynamic to fall into.

Victoria's delivery of this hot but emotional story has me excited to see her growth as an author. The balance of this story was done

Thank you to Victoria Timms fornthis ARC. These are my honest opinions and feelings.
