BOOK DESCRIPTION
Jonathan Chapel was just a scrawny kid living in a rough neighborhood, trying to keep his sisters safe and fed. When someone takes an unhealthy interest in one of those sisters, Jon is faced with a dilemma. When the local cops work hand in hand with the criminals, and regular folks must hide in terror from the gangs, Jon is forced to take matters into his own hands. This sets off an unlikely chain of events resulting in Jon being recruited into serving the very organization he was trying to fight. The offer is unspoken but join us or die. Jon doesn’t want to die. He’s only eleven years old.
What follows is a baptism in fire, where only his quick reflexes and a superior intellect manage to keep Jon in the fight. He also learns that he might be working for the devil, but there are degrees of evil even hardened killers refuse to condone. Jon also discovers unexpected allies as he continues in his quest to protect those he loves. Faced with adult responsibilities and enemies on every corner, Jon needs all the skill and luck he can muster if he is to have any chance at FIGHTING FREE.

What an amazing start to a book series, with some plot twists that, unless you knew this author personally (and I am very proud to say I do!), you would not have seen coming.

I hate to give away spoilers, and to review this book properly is difficult to do without giving away a bit too much. I can say that this book is a must-read.

This book follows the journey of a young man, only 11 years old, and his siblings who are fighting impossible and extremely unfair odds, seemingly against the world. They are forced to survive one catastrophe after another.... after another!

My only complaint is that the next book in this series is not written yet, and i HAVE TO KNOW HOW IT ALL TURNS OUT, i NEEEEED to know what happens NEXT, and I Need to know NOW!

HEAR ME WILL ALLEN? I WANT BOOK TWO RIGHT NOW!

extremely good read

Not my usual genre, but because I know the author is an excellent writer, I took a chance. I’m glad I did because it was such a good read. FYI, it is violent. I am very much looking forward to the next book in the series.
