I went into this book already excited. Partly of the nostalgic playlist, and partly because the premise hooked me right away, and it still managed to surprise me in the best way. What really stayed with me was the ending. It made me reflect on the moments in life when things stop feeling spontaneous and start feeling more routine and predictable.
The story captures the shift between what feel is like 2 different lives beautifully, and reminds you that even as responsibilities pile up and routines settle in, there’s something meaningful about holding onto your sense of self.
